Description
Front-mounted snow plow attached to a push vehicle The invention refers to a front-mounted snow plow attached to a push vehicle.
Air traffic, especially with jet planes with high take-off and landing speeds, is used to clear snow from aircraft take-off and landing runways special requirements. It has been found to be very important that this Slopes are kept dry and absolutely free of ice. Even with little snowfall therefore snow removal devices must be used. For this one used hitherto usually snowploughs of commercially available shapes that are attached to the front of Trucks were attached and the snow pushed aside. Was disadvantageous but that it is not due to the natural roughness and unevenness of the slope what was to be avoided was that there were still small traces of snow left on the slope, which are then pressed down by the tires of the truck that subsequently drives over them and were pressed onto the runway surface, which promoted ice formation and in the consequence could endanger air traffic.
The invention avoids these disadvantages. This is because of this allows that behind the snow plow and in front of the front wheels of the push vehicle Brushes are arranged, which the snow not covered by the plow at least before Wipe away the wheels of the push vehicle.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention shown.
Fig.1 zeigt eine Seitenansicht des Pfluges zusammen mit einem Lastauto; Fig. 2 ist eine Draufsicht auf den Schneepflug und das Lastauto gemäß Fig. 1.Fig. 1 shows a side view of the plow together with a truck; FIG. 2 is a plan view of the snow plow and truck shown in FIG. 1.
A mounting frame 2 is attached to the front of a commercial truck 1 and carries a snow-clearing wall 4 by means of a parallelogram linkage 3 and further intermediate members. On the underside of this snow-clearing wall 4 is a clearing edge 5 lying on the roadway 13. The snow-clearing wall acts, as is known, on one side, ie it forms an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and pushes the snow to be cleared away to one side of the roadway. However, the attachment of the snow plow is designed so that the plow can be pivoted about a vertical axis so that it can optionally create the snow to the other side of the road and thus both sides of the road can be cleared without turning the vehicle. Behind the snow clearing wall 4 there are four brushes 6 to 9, which rest with their jacket against the roadway and rotate counter to the direction of rotation of the vehicle wheels 12 about a horizontal axis. These brushes are driven by a motor 10, which can either be an electric motor operated by the vehicle battery or a small gasoline engine; it would also be conceivable that the drive would take place via a cardan shaft from the truck engine. The axes of rotation of the brushes 6 to 9 run coaxially to one another and are arranged parallel to the clearing edge 5. These brushes are therefore inclined to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The height of these brushes is adjusted independently of that of the snow removal wall by a spindle 15 around the axis of rotation 16. In addition, the height of the snow removal wall can also be adjusted by a hydraulic lifting element 14 , for which purpose a corresponding control valve is provided in the driver's cab. The oil pressure required to operate the hydraulic lifting elements is expediently generated by a motor-driven oil pump. The plow and the brushes are assembled to form a frame which is attached to the push vehicle in an articulated manner via the parallelogram linkage 3 so that it can be removed. As a result of the relatively large overhang and the significant weight of the snow plow, there are two support rollers 11 which are attached to the mounting frame behind the brushes. These roles are sprung and can be adjusted in height, for example hydraulically or mechanically. It would also be conceivable that further roles are provided which, depending on the request, take up partial weights of the plow and the brushes.
The arrangement of the brushes 7 and 9 is made such that the during the. Drive swept strip width B is exactly in front of the front and rear wheels of the truck. If the wheel spacing between the front and rear wheels is different, this must be taken into account by increasing the length of the brush.
Instead of the four brushes 6 to 9, which practically cover the entire width cleared of the snow-clearing wall, only two brushes 7 and 9 could be present, which are each located in front of the vehicle's lane.
This arrangement makes it possible that the truck 1 can drive with its front wheels 12 and also with the rear wheels, not shown in the drawing, on a cleanly wiped track, which prevents these wheels from being able to press snow onto the roadway.
Instead of brushes with a horizontal axis of rotation, it would also be conceivable to use those with an approximately perpendicular axis of rotation, then with their front side would touch the road and wipe away the snow. It would also be conceivable to train the brush as an endless belt around two driven rollers with horizontal Axis of rotation is looped. This band preferably extends over the whole Width of the plow. It would also be conceivable that the brush is similar to a screw conveyor would be formed with a horizontal axis of rotation.
