Fadengeschwindigkeiten, die sich dadurch kennzeichnet, daß der erste Zylinder des Streckwerkes von innen oder außen geheizt ist und der zweite Zylinder des Streckwerkes konisch oder stufenförmig ausgebildet ist. Die Beheizung des ersten Streckzylinders erfolgt dabei mittels eines im Inneren des Zylinders angeordneten feststehenden oder mitumlaufenden Heizkörpers oder, für das Strecken von Fäden oder Fadenbündeln großer Stärke, zusätzlich durch einen den ersten Zylinder des Streckwerkes in einem gewissen Abstand umschließenden Heizkörper. Bei der verhältnismäßig großen Anzahl (150 bis 300) von zu beheizenden Zylindern an einer Maschine sowie infolge der zu erreichenden Temperatur (110 bis 200°) ergibt sich bei einer elektrischen Widerstandsheizung ein erheblicher Aufwand an elektrischer Energie für die ganze Maschine.
