Um zu vermeiden, dass Bakterien, Keime o.ä. beim Abfüllen bzw. Dosieren von Pharmazeutika mit in die Behältnisse gelangen ist es bekannt, die vorher sterilisierten Behältnisse während des Füll- sowie ggf. anschließend während des Verschließvorgangs mittels keimfreier Luft zu umströmen. Diese, als sog. „Laminar-Flow"-Strömung bezeichnete Strömung umströmt dabei die Behältnisse von oben nach unten, d.h. aus Richtung der Kopfbereiche der Behältnisse. Dazu sind Vorrichtungen üblich, die die Luft unterhalb der Behältnisse absaugen und anschließend über einen (Reinluft-) Filter leiten. Die so gefilterte Luft wird anschließend über ein Gebläse wieder den Behältnissen zugeführt. Da bei den bekannten Abfülleinrichtungen bei getaktetem Transport der Behältnisse die Füllnadeln ortsfest fluchtend oberhalb der Behältnisöffnungen angeordnet sind, ist eine Umströmung der Behältnisse, insbesondere auch während der Förderphasen der Behältnisse, gestört.
