Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a bicycle dynamo, which has a friction clutch a bicycle tire is driven, the drive wheel of the dynamo being designed in this way is that even in unfavorable weather conditions, i.e. H. in rain and snow works flawlessly.
Conventional bicycle dynamos are driven by a drive wheel attached to the dynamo head driven. This is pressed onto the bicycle tire and is by friction clutch transmit the rotational movement of the bicycle tire to the drive wheel of the dynamo and get it rotating. This principle is simple and with relatively little effort realize. The disadvantage is the relatively low, i. H. not long lasting Reliability. After some operating time, the surface of the Drive wheel and also the track on the bicycle tire. This reduces the Coefficient of friction and the dynamo drive wheel grinds more and more until it finally, especially in wet and snow, only grinds and stands still.
Various attempts were made to counter this disadvantage. So were z. B. Dynamo drive wheels equipped with a corrugated surface. Likewise, the Bicycle tires with grooved or pimpled raceways attached. There were different ones Materials used for the impellers, such as hardened steel, ceramic, rubber. Nevertheless it was not possible to achieve long-term functional reliability. There were also other ways, such as. B. Dynamos on the bike hub are attached and driven directly by the bike. Such dynamos are however relatively complex and expensive.
In laid-open publication 2057079 v. 25.5.1972 a solution is proposed in which a positive connection between dynamo and rim with the help of cams and Hole ring is made. The disadvantage of this solution is the relatively large and expensive effort for the specially trained rim or the special bicycle tire.
In the published patent application DE 40 11 567 A1 (B62J6 / 19) dated 2.8.1990 a positive drive proposed in the manner of a toothed belt. But this solution is also associated with great effort.
In addition, in the above publication a "self-sharpening" plastic-bound Wire brush proposed as a drive wheel. This solution requires a relatively high one Manufacturing effort and has a low due to the relatively low hardness of the steel wires Life.
The utility model with the roll number G 91 15 521.5 v. February 27, 1992 and the United States Patent 5,165,776 v. Nov. 24, 1992 propose similar solutions to those already described Disadvantages.
The present invention is based on the object of customary, ie. H. inexpensive dynamos with to equip an inexpensive drive that works long-term, reliable in unfavorable weather conditions.
This is achieved by a drive wheel A, the surface of which consists of hard, coarse-grained material. The most suitable is corundum as it is used for grinding wheels and profile cutters. (See picture Fig. 1). But it can also be a material such. B. rubber or plastic can be used, which with coarse-grained hard material such. B. sand or other hard crystal grains is mixed. Such materials are pourable and enable inexpensive manufacture of the drive wheel. Alternatively, the coarse-grained hard (crystalline) material can also be applied to the surface of the drive wheel A, similarly to lubricating gel lines.
With a corundum drive wheel A the surface is so hard that it practically does not wears. With its rough surface, it constantly roughenes the rubber of the bicycle tire F and keeps the coefficient of friction sufficiently large. There is no need for corrugation of the bicycle tire F, but also runs flawlessly and with little on the smooth tire surface Noise pollution. It enables the contact point K on the bicycle tire F to be positioned so low that d. H. on the sidewall of the tire (at a sufficient distance from that with snow in winter covered tread F of the bicycle tire), that even in snow still perfect operation is possible.
- 1. The friction and thus the functional reliability is additionally increased by the drive wheel in the contact area K being concave with the bicycle tire, ie the surface of the drive wheel is adapted to the curvature of the surface of the bicycle tire.
- 2. The drive wheel is slightly conical in the contact area K with the bicycle tire, so that the same circumferential speed arises between the large contact circle BG and the small contact circle Bk of the drive wheel and the bicycle tire. If the small diameter (d1) to the large diameter (d2) of the drive wheel is dimensioned in the ratio of the small diameter D1 of the contact circle of the bicycle tire to the large diameter D2 of the contact circle of the bicycle tire, construction-related grinding is prevented because the circumferential speed on the entire contact line both the same size for the dynamo drive wheel as for the bicycle tire. For example, if the small contact circle D1 of the bicycle tire is 50 cm and the large D2 = 51 cm, then at 2 cm for the small diameter d1 of the contact circle of the dynamo drive wheel, d2 = d1.D2 / D1 = 2.51 / 50 = 2.04 cm ,
