Abstract

The invention discloses a traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of intercostal neuralgia, which is prepared from medicinal materials with the following weight ratio: 10 parts Rhizoma Anemarrhenae, 10 parts Jujube, 12 parts Rhizoma Alismatis, 8 parts dogwood, 8 parts fried Fructus Aurantii and 8 parts turmeric. The clinical experiment shows that the invention achieves the remarkable effect of treating intercostal neuralgia by selecting appropriate medicinal materials and their ratio and is safe and non-toxic.

Description

The invention relates to a traditional Chinese medicine, and more particularly relates to a traditional Chinese medicine for treating intercostal neuralgia and a manufacturing method thereof.

Intercostal neuralgia refers to a disease involving pain in one or both flanks, which belongs to the flank pain category in traditional Chinese medicine. Treatment in traditional Chinese medicine is mainly based on differentiation of syndromes regarding the aspects of liver Qi stagnation, Qi stagnation and blood congestion, liver Yin deficiency and so on, to calm the liver and increase Qi regulate, promote blood circulation and eliminate blood congestion, nourish the yin and blood and soften the liver. The invention aims to provide a traditional Chinese medicine for treating intercostal neuralgia and a manufacturing method thereof. On the basis of selecting appropriate traditional Chinese medicine and its ratio, a significant effect can be achieved to support the rehabilitation of patients with intercostal neuralgia, and it is safe and non-toxic.

Clinical data:

1. Case selection

56 patients with intercostal neuralgia were selected for clinical observation. The clinical symptoms met the diagnostic and therapeutic criteria of intercostal neuralgia. The patients were randomly assigned to treatment lung group and a control group. There were 28 cases each in the treatment group and the control group. The course of the disease and the severity of symptoms in the treatment group and the control group were essentially the same, with no significant difference and no significant comparability.

2. Selection of medicine

The treatment group took the TCM capsule prepared in Example 1 of the invention orally twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, one capsule each, taken after dinner with warm boiled water; 5 days is a series of treatment, and the treatment lasts 1-2 series.

The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine, and the treatment series was the same as that of the treatment group.

After two series, the healing outcomes of the two groups were compared, and all cases were followed up after 6 months.

3. Effectiveness criteria:

• (1) Cured: The pain and accompanying symptoms disappeared, and no relapse occurred after half a year of follow-up.
• (2) Improved: Pain and accompanying symptoms were significantly improved after treatment.
• (3) Not cured: It is not suitable if there is no change in pain and accompanying symptoms after treatment.
• (4) Result

In the treatment group that took the TCM capsule of Example 1 of the invention, 21 cases were cured, 5 cases had improvement, and 2 cases were not cured. The cure rate was 75% and the overall effectiveness rate was 94.9%.

In the control group, 3 cases were cured, 17 cases showed improvement and 8 cases were not cured. The cure rate was 10.7% and the overall efficacy rate was 71.4%.

The above results showed that the cure rate and overall effectiveness rate of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group.
