Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a pack for products from the tobacco industry, with an inner pack for accommodating the pack contents and an outer pack for accommodating the inner pack, the inner pack being designed as a (tobacco) pouch which has a resealable opening, and the opening being closed by a resealable , strip-shaped closure means is reclosable, and wherein the inner pack has bag corners in the region of lateral ends of the closure means, according to the preamble of claim 1.

In particular, the invention relates to packages for bulk goods, e.g., fine-cut tobacco. Such goods are currently packaged in large stand-up pouches or in cans in the tobacco or cigarette industry. The cans are usually made of plastic, metal or coated cardboard and/or a combination of these materials with a resealable lid. The stand-up pouches, on the other hand, have a much softer and more flexible structure than cans, but are correspondingly less stable. It is usual to close the opening of the bag with a kind of zip lock. Disadvantages of the solutions described are, on the one hand, the expandable environmental compatibility in view of the packaging materials used and, on the other hand, the low stability.

Proceeding from this, the invention is based on the object of further developing packs of the type mentioned at the beginning, in particular with regard to the improvement with regard to the disadvantages described.

A pack according to the invention has the features of claim 1. Accordingly, it is provided that the outer pack has a tray for at least partially accommodating the inner pack, and that the tray has retaining elements for the corners of the bag, which are designed to secure the corners of the bag in a folded position in which the corners of the bag lie against the side walls of the tray .

In particular, it is provided that first retaining elements are formed by areas of the side walls of the tray which are designed to press the corners of the bag against the side walls of the bag.

In a preferred embodiment it can be provided that the second retaining elements are formed by retaining tabs or fixing tabs, which are formed by the material of the side walls of the tray.

In particular, it can be provided that the retaining tabs project beyond adjacent areas of the weakened material, so that the bag corners can each be fixed by clamping the material of the bag between a retaining tab and the side wall of the bag, particularly in the area of a folded edge of the bag.

Furthermore, it can be provided that the fixing tabs are formed by incisions in the material of the side walls, which are set up to fix the bag corners in each case by clamping the material of the bag between the fixing tab and the side wall of the bag, in particular in the area of a folded edge of the bag.

A method according to the invention for producing such packs for products in the tobacco industry has the features of claim 17 . Accordingly, it is provided that a first blank for the tray is taken from a first magazine and fed unfolded to a first folding station and, on the way to the first folding station, is provided with adhesive surfaces for connecting the bag to the tray and that the bag filled with the contents of the pack is the folding position is fed to the unfolded first tray in the first folding station and then the first blank is folded around the bag to form the tray, so that the corners of the bag lie against the side walls of the tray.

The first exemplary embodiment of a pack 10 for products from the tobacco industry has a tray 11 and a lid 12 which belong to an outer pack 13 .

In the outer pack 13 there is a bag 14 as an inner pack 15. The pack contents 16 are in the bag.

In the present case, the pack contents 16 are bulk goods, namely fine-cut tobacco. It goes without saying that the pack 10 can also be used for other products in the tobacco or cigarette industry.

The tray 11 and the lid 12 are preferably made from corresponding blanks 17, 18 of a rigid packaging material, in particular by folding and gluing. Cardboard is preferably used for this. Thicker paper or other common materials are also conceivable, for example.

The bag 14 is preferably made from a foil material, which can be made available, for example, as a continuous web of material and from which individual blanks can be separated and closed by forming (weld) seams.

The bag 14 usually has an opening 19 which is used to remove the contents 16 of the pack. The opening 19 can be closed by a closure means 20 . The closure means 20 is a strip-shaped, multi-actuable member located near an upper edge of the bag 14. A ziplock is preferably used here. This usually consists of two profile pieces made of plastic, which extend in the area of the opening and engage in one another with projections and depressions in the closed position.

The tray 11 is used to hold the bag 14. For this purpose, the bag 14 is folded so that in the first exemplary embodiment it is essentially completely accommodated in the bag 14. Two bag corners 21 that are located in the area of the lateral, free ends of the closure means 20 are problematic. Because of the material-related restoring forces of the strip-shaped closure means 20, the bag corners 21 tend to spring open, so that special measures are provided here to secure the bag corners 21 in a folded position.

In the folded position ( 1 and 2 ) the two bag corners 21 are folded against (upright) side walls 22 of the bag 14. Correspondingly, the two corners 21 of the bag rest against corresponding side walls 23 of the tray 11 on the inside. Sections or areas of the side walls 23 on which the bag corners 21 rest serve as retaining elements 24 for the bag corners 21.

A special feature is that the two retaining elements 24 can be separated from the tray 11 in the first exemplary embodiment. For this purpose, the retaining elements 24 are limited by material weaknesses, for example by a corresponding tear-off perforation 25.

In order to facilitate the removal or removal of a retaining element 24, a tear-off opening 26 is provided, which is positioned at the edge of the tear-off perforation 25 or the retaining element 24. With the help of the tear opening 26, the consumer can reach behind the retaining element and detach it.

Thereafter, the upper end of the bag 14 can be pulled slightly upwards out of the tray 11 and the closure means 20 and thus the opening 19 can be opened so that the pack contents 16 can be partially removed.

When closing the bag 14 again, the procedure is reversed. First, the opening 19 is closed with the closure means 20 and then the bag corners 21 are folded over laterally into the folded position. After the retaining elements 24 have been removed, they can no longer be used to fix the corners 21 of the bag. This function is therefore performed by second retaining elements in the form of retaining tabs 27. The retaining tabs 27 are material projections on the side walls 23 of the tray 11, which protrude beyond an imaginary plane along which the tear-open perforation 25 extends on both sides of the retaining tabs 27. Correspondingly, the bag corners 21 can be held behind the retaining tabs 27 . Finally, the lid 12 can be placed on the tray 11 without any protruding bag corners 21 being able to interfere.

In the present example, the pack 10 is cuboid and rectangular in plan, in particular square. Correspondingly, the tray 11 has a (lower) base wall 28 and four (upright) side walls 23. The tray 11 is (completely) open at the top. The lid 12 is designed as a slip lid with a lid wall 29 and four (upright) side walls 30. The tray 11 with the bag 14 is essentially completely accommodated in the lid 12. The two bag corners 21 are located on two opposite side walls 23 of the tray 11 and are each fixed by a retaining element 24 or a retaining tab 27 located there. It goes without saying that this specific solution can be deviated from within the scope of the invention if other bag shapes make this appear appropriate. The figures also show optional gripping holes 31 (lid) or 32 (tray), which can facilitate handling.

6 shows a second embodiment of such a pack 10. The difference from the first embodiment is, on the one hand, that no retaining elements 24 are provided. Instead, the bag corners 21 are folded over the top edge of the side walls 23 and placed against them from the outside. On the other hand, retaining elements in the form of fixing tabs 33 are formed on the side walls 23 in order to be held in this folded position. For example, a punching in the material of the side walls that forms such a tab is conceivable. As with the retaining tabs 27, the bag corners 21 are folded with a fold edge 49 behind the fixing tabs 33 and thus in the folded position ( 6 ) held.

Accordingly, blanks 17 are removed from a first blank magazine 34 by blank suction devices 35 and placed unfolded on blank guides 48 and transported with a transport belt 36 in the direction of a first folding station 37 .

Filled bags 14 are transported on a conveyor belt 38 in the direction of the folding station 37 and are each pushed onto a blank 17 in the folding station 37 by pushers 39 . The blank 17 is then folded around the bag 14 by means of a tray folder 40 .

In order not to come into conflict with protruding corners 21 of the bag, these can be folded against the side walls of the bag 14 with adhesive surfaces.

Thereafter, the trays 11 with the bag 14 are transported in the direction of a second folding station 41 . In the present case, the trays 11 resting on support rails 42 are conveyed by a driver belt 43 .

In the second folding station 41 unfolded blanks 18 are again held ready, which are placed on the trays 11 from above and folded around the tray 11 by means of a cover folder 44 . Thereafter, the pack 10 that is finished to this point is transported away by means of a conveyor belt 45 .

The blanks 18 are fed to the second folding station 41 in the same way as the blanks 17 are fed to the first folding station 37, beginning with removal from a blank magazine 46. Instead of a transport belt, a lateral suction unit 47 is used to transport the blanks 17.

It should also be mentioned that the blanks 17, 18 can be provided with adhesive surfaces in respective gluing stations 48 on the way to the first or second folding station 37, 41 in order to connect the folding tabs of the tray 11 or lid 12 to one another.
