Abstract

The present invention discloses a mouthwash comprising by weight parts: Flos Sophorae 20-30, Agastache rugosa 20-30, Plantane Herb 6-8, Green Tea 20-40, Long Haired Antenoron Herb 20-40, and Pomegranate Peel 20-40. The mouthwash manufacturing process comprises the following steps: mixing and milling the raw materials to obtain a paste to be used; Add 200-400 parts by weight of pure water to the paste and gently heat to boil over 40-60 minutes; and filtering after decoction to obtain a supernatant as a finished mouthwash product.

BACKGROUND

Fluoride-containing mouthwash

Mouthwash to prevent plaque biofilm

This mouthwash helps to prevent the formation of plaque biofilm, thereby reducing the possibility of gingivitis. It contains mainly triclosan, thymol, hexadecyl chloride, etc. However, more evidence suggests that this mouthwash can not prevent periodontal disease.

Mouthwash that can inhibit dental plaque biofilm:

It has been confirmed that chlorhexidine gluconate can effectively inhibit the formation of plaque biofilm and prevent periodontal disease. However, when used for a long time, it quickly causes tooth stains on the tooth surface, affects the taste, and causes recurring aphthous ulcers.

Anti-allergy mouthwash

The main chemical constituent of this mouthwash, such as potassium nitrate, may allow the dentin microtubules to close, thereby reducing dental allergy. Antiallergic Mouthwash should not be used in the long term.

Herbal Mouthwash

Although numerous claims have been made regarding the health benefits of green tea, clinical research on humans has not provided conclusive evidence of any effects. In 2011, a group of scientists published a report on alleged health effects on behalf of the European Commission: in general, it has been found that allegations made with green tea have not been substantiated by sufficient scientific evidence. Although the mean content of flavonoids and catechins in a cup of green tea is higher than in the same volume of other foods and drinks conventionally considered beneficial to health, [5] flavonoids and catechins have no proven biological activity in humans.

The mouthwash provided in the present invention has activity in counteracting allergies, treating periodontal disease, treating oral ulcers, eliminating ozostomy, eliminating dental plaque, inhibiting ozostomy, and cleaning the oral cavity.

For use, the above mouthwash must be diluted with only 10-20 times of clear water and then added to the mouth, with movement of both cheeks and lip allowing sufficient wetting of the teeth and gums with the clear water, and each part of the oral cavity is repeatedly washed by water power.

According to the above ratios, the mouthwashes 1-5 containing green tea in Examples 1-5 are obtained and shown in Table 1. Experimental Examples 1-5

Experimental Examples 1-5 serve to illustrate the dental health care and protective effect of the mouthwashes provided by the present invention.

Alleviation of oral mucosal allergy

There are 150 male and female subjects (in the age group of 25-40) with the symptom of oral mucosal allergy selected in varying degrees of severity and randomly divided into five groups of 30 patients per group. The mouthrinse of the present invention is used in each of the five groups for one week, and then the effects are noted, whereby, compared with a condition before using the mouthwash, the subject whose allergy symptom disappeared completely is marked as ○, the subject whose allergy symptom was considerably alleviated , is marked as Δ and the subject whose allergy symptom had no significant alleviation is marked as x, and the beneficial effects are shown in Table 2. From the experimental results of the above experimental examples, it can be seen that the present invention sufficiently utilizes the beneficial effect of green tea to maintain the normal function of the oral mucosa, together with traditional Chinese medicine ingredients of Agastache rugosa and long-haired Antenoron herb have a broad pharmaceutical effect exercises. The mouthrinse of the present invention is used in each of the five groups for one week, and then the effects are noted, whereby, compared with a condition before using the mouthwash, the subject whose periodontal disease symptom completely disappeared is marked as ○, the subject whose periodontal disease symptom was considerably alleviated , is marked as Δ and the subject whose periodontitis symptom had no significant alleviation is marked as x, and the beneficial effects are shown in Table 3. From the experimental results of the above experimental examples, it can be seen that the present invention sufficiently utilizes the health benefits of green tea anti-phlogosis and bacteriostasis, which achieves antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects by combining Flos Sophorae and traditional Chinese medicine such as Agastache rugosa, the symptoms of swelling and pain of the gums and effectively alleviates gingival congestion, and further achieves the technical effects of relieving and treating periodontal disease.

From the experimental results of the above experimental examples, it can be seen that with respect to the treatment of oral ulcer, the present invention has excellent technical effects of the treatment and alleviation. The present invention sufficiently utilizes the green tea-yielding technical effect, effectively kills harmful bacteria which tend to cause halitosis in the oral cavity, and provides effective technical support for relieving and eliminating ozostomy. Concentrating on investigations, the inventor has found that the soup made from green tea also has the technical effect of eliminating dental plaque. The present invention sufficiently utilizes the above technical effect, inhibits the generation of dental plaque, and effectively eliminates dental plaque and achieves the technical effect of promoting teeth whitening. The experiments show that after prolonged use of the above mouthwash according to the invention, the dental plaque can be effectively eliminated; and that after a short-term application, the effectiveness of the removal of dental plaque can be further improved compared with the prior art.

Green Mouthwash containing by parts by weight: Flos Sophorae 20-30, Agastache rugosa 20-30, Plantain Herb 6-8, Green Tea 20-40, Long Haired Antenoron Herb 20-40 and Pomegranate Peel 20-40; wherein the mouthwash is prepared by the following steps: Mixing and milling the raw materials to obtain a paste to be used; Add 200-400 parts by weight of pure water to the paste and gently heat to boil over 40-60 minutes; and After boiling, filter to give a supernatant as a finished mouthwash product. Mouthwash after Claim 1 which comprises by weight parts: Flos Sophorae 25, Agastache rugosa 25, Plantane Herb 6, Green Tea 20, Long Haired Antenoron Herb 20 and Pomegranate Peel 20. Mouthwash after Claim 1 , which by weight comprises: Flos Sophorae 28, Agastache rugosa 25, Plantane Herb 7, Green Tea 20, Long Haired Antenoron Herb 30 and Pomegranate Peel 30. Mouthwash after Claim 1 which comprises by weight parts: Flos Sophorae 28, Agastache rugosa 26, Plantane Herb 7, Green Tea 30, Long Haired Antenoron Herb 30 and Pomegranate Peel 40. Mouthwash after one of Claims 1 - 4 which by weight still comprises: ethanol 0.5-1 and table salt 3-5.
