Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung einer Soll-Geschwindigkeit (vsoll) eines Kraftfahrzeugs (1) zur Befahrung einer Fahrstrecke (S) unter Ausnutzung einer grünen Welle von Lichtzeichenanlagen (2), wobei die Soll-Geschwindigkeit (vsoll) anhand von Informationen (I) mittels eines fahrzeugexternen Rechnernetzwerks (3) bestimmt und an das Kraftfahrzeug (1) übermittelt wird.
