Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a fastening device for a motor vehicle headlight with a housing and a lens in one by one or more Motor vehicle parts formed cavity.
Fastening devices for motor vehicle headlights in one or more Cavities formed in automotive parts are well known in the art. For aerodynamic reasons in particular, are nowadays from the Headlights protruding body shell unusual.
For the attachment z. B. protruding retaining tabs are provided, in which holes are provided through which the headlight is attached to the vehicle with screws can be. A disadvantage of the conventional fasteners is that Headlights even in minor accidents e.g. B. when parking or rear-end collisions is relatively easily damaged. The probability of damage to the Headlamps is further enlarged in modern headlamps, because in modern headlights several functions such. B. parking lights, Direction indicators, fog lights etc. are integrated, and thereby the outer surface of the Headlight is additionally enlarged. Because such headlights compared to smaller headlights with only one function are also considerably more expensive Avoiding damage the more desirable.
For this purpose, such headlights are provided with retaining tabs in the Tear off the damage so that the headlight can retreat into the cavity. The headlight then only has to be provided with new retaining tabs in the workshop be and can be reused, provided that the lens or other parts are not damaged.
It is also known that the lens is made of certain shock-resistant materials such as B. to produce certain transparent plastics. Because the lens through the heat emitted by the light sources is heated is the use of such However, plastic light lenses are not always possible.
Based on this prior art, the invention is based on the object Reduce the likelihood of damage to a motor vehicle headlight, the choice of material for the lens should not be restricted and a subsequent repair in a workshop should be avoided if possible.
According to the invention it is proposed that a frame should be provided, and the Motor vehicle headlights in the frame for a shock load on the lens is resilient.
The flexibility can be, for example, with springs, an elastic bellows or can be achieved by means of joints.
The frame and the motor vehicle headlight can form a structural unit and can be mounted on the vehicle as a prefabricated assembly part (ZSB). The The frame is fixed to the vehicle in the assembled state during the Motor vehicle headlights essentially in the direction of impact on the lens is held horizontally from the front floating in the frame. The Motor vehicle headlights give way and take less impact then switch on its defined target position again.
Through a targeted choice of the spring stiffness of the flexible fasteners can be safely prevented that the headlight z. B. due to high wind pressure high vehicle speeds unintentionally leaves its target position, and only at one yields predetermined minimum force.
It is also proposed, when using joints, an additional one Compliancy in another direction, preferably perpendicular to the first Compliance to provide, so that the vehicle headlights to the rear and additionally gives way up, down or sideways. The required restoring force in the Sollage can then z. B. can be achieved with torsion springs.
If a bellows is selected, the bellows can be stiffened by plastic struts be so that the desired dimensional stability is achieved.
The flexibility should be in the range of 30-50 mm.
Die Zeichnungen zeigen:The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment. The Drawings show:

In Fig. 1 is a motor vehicle headlamp 1, which is arranged in a space formed by the vehicle parts 2 and 3 cavity to recognize. The vehicle part 2 is, for. B. a bumper while the vehicle part 3 can be an engine compartment lid. However, it would also be conceivable to have the motor vehicle headlight in a single vehicle part 2 ; 3 trained cavity to arrange.
The motor vehicle headlight 1 itself has a customary structure with a housing 12 of a light source 5 and a lens 6 covering the light exit opening of the housing. The lens 6 is made of a transparent plastic or glass.
The motor vehicle headlight 1 is resiliently held in the frame 4, as will be explained in more detail later. The frame 4 is fastened with fasteners such. B. screws fixed in position on the vehicle parts 2 and 3 . The frame 4 can enclose the motor vehicle headlight 1 on one or more sides or also accommodate it like a pot. It is only important that the motor vehicle headlight 1 is given the necessary support by the flexible holder on the frame 4 , so that it does not accidentally lose its target position. The flexibility is aligned in the direction of impact from the front to the lens 6 and z. B. by springs 7 acting horizontally between the frame 4 and the motor vehicle headlight 1 . The springs 7 can be designed as coil springs, leaf springs or as elastomer blocks. The person skilled in the art is not restricted to the choice of the spring shape or the material, so that he can choose any spring from a manual. It is only important that a good compromise between the intended flexibility in the event of an accident and the unwanted change in position to be avoided is achieved in the choice of springs.
Various alternative constructions for achieving the flexibility are shown in FIGS. 2 to 5. In FIGS. 2 and 3, the attachment of the motor vehicle headlamp 1 can be seen with flared or tapered bellows 8 and 9. The bellows 8 and 9 are crumpled together when they hit the lens 6 and thus allow the motor vehicle headlight 1 to retreat into the vehicle. The bellows 8 and 9 can be dimensionally stabilized by additional plastic struts.
In Figs. 4 and 5 an attachment is shown with hinges 10 and 11. The motor vehicle headlight 1 gives way backwards due to the inclined position of the joints 10 in the event of an impact on the lens 6 . For this purpose, the motor vehicle headlight 1 can also have an additional joint 13 , through which the evasive movement is controlled upwards.
The frame 4 is an L-shaped component which encloses the motor vehicle headlight 1 on its rear, underside and, if necessary, also on the side or on its top.
In a further development, the housing 12 can of course also contain the flexible means and be attached directly to the vehicle parts 2 and 3 .
It is only important that the resilience between the fastening points and the lens 6 is effective substantially horizontally in the event of an impact on the lens 6 , so that the motor vehicle headlight 1 can be immersed in the vehicle.
In addition to the described advantage that the probability of damage to the Headlights is reduced, the invention also pedestrian protection significantly improved. Instead of endangering pedestrians or cyclists z. B. by The motor vehicle headlight retreats glass splinters and takes part of it Impact energy, preventing it from being destroyed and pedestrians by Splinters of glass are at risk.
In Fig. 6 is an alternative mounting of an L-shaped shell 22 which is connected with the movable portions 23 and 24 of the housing 4. The movable sections 23 and 24 provide additional freedom of movement in the vertical direction, so that the motor vehicle headlight 1 can backward and, if necessary, also retract upwards or dip into the vehicle in the event of a shock load on the lens 6 . The position in which the motor vehicle headlight 1 is immersed in the vehicle is shown in FIG. 6a. The L-shaped shell 22 has the particular advantage that only two movable sections 23 and 24 are required, but the motor vehicle headlight 1 is flexibly and flexibly attached both horizontally and vertically. For this purpose, the movable sections 23 and 24 are arranged on the diagonally opposite edges of the housing 4 . It is important for the success of the invention that the sections 23 and 24 enclose an angle piece between them, which is formed here by the L-shaped shell. The movable sections 23 and 24 can be formed both by elastic materials and by an articulated connection.
