Abstract

The invention relates to the field of wastewater treatment using soluble electrodes and can be applied to wastewater treatment on ships. The method comprises supplying the effluents as parallel streams into the anode and cathode compartments of the diaphragm electrolysis cell using soluble electrodes with subsequent mixing. Before being fed into the anode and cathode compartments of the electrolysis cell with the soluble electrodes, the current in the anode compartment or cathode compartment of the diaphragm electrolysis cell is treated with the non-soluble electrodes until the p H value of the anolyte reaches 3.0 p H value of the catholyte reaches 10.1 ... 10.6.
