The invention relates to a method of attaching a wooden veneer panel to a load-bearing laminate.
In the previously known methods 0.7 to 1.7 mm thick wooden veneer boards are used, which are attached to the load-bearing laminate. Before fixing, the veneer sheets are dried, and in the next step, the veneer sheet is applied to the laminate. If a particularly thin veneer board is desired, the planarization and grinding of the veneer is then carried out after the veneer board has been mounted on the load-bearing laminate, because it has not been possible to glue very thin veneer boards, because with a very thin veneer board, the adhesive passes through the veneer board Plate penetrates to the surface of the veneer. This is the reason that large losses of material have been recorded in the prior art processes.
The aim of the invention is to attach a wooden veneer panel with little effort on a load-bearing laminate, without any loss of material occur.
The invention has for its object to prevent the penetration of the adhesive to the surface of the veneer when attaching a very thin wooden veneer panel on a load-bearing laminate.
This is inventively achieved in that a moist, very thin, preferably 0.2 to 0.3 mm thick sheet of veneer is applied to the provided with an adhesive surface of the supporting laminate, after which they are glued together and dried using a hot pressing such that the steam cushion created by the pressure and heat prevents the adhesive from penetrating the veneer to the front surface of the veneer.
By means of this method, a thin veneer board is obtained without any loss of material. The penetration of the glue down to the surface of the veneer is prevented by the steam cushion that forms because the veneer is moist. When hot pressing the veneer board onto the supporting laminate, the adhesive penetrates into the back of the veneer and, due to the heat, dries and bonds the laminate to the veneer. Due to the moisture of the veneer, the steam pad prevents the glue from damaging the front surface of the veneer. At the end of the hot pressing, the heat also dries the top, front surface of the veneer, but at this point the glue is already dried and can not penetrate to the front surface of the veneer.
Therefore, it is advantageous to use a hermetically sealed planar press to prevent the water vapor from the veneer from evaporating from the surfaces during hot pressing.
The moisture content of the wood veneer boards is equal to or greater than that of a living tree. Normally, the moisture content of a fresh felled tree is large enough to reach the required vapor cushion. If the tree has already dried under the influence of the air, the veneer should be moistened to the saturation point before the gluing is carried out. This can be achieved, for example, by briefly dipping. It may also be advantageous, according to the present invention, to transport the veneer from the cutting station to the bonding station on a water cushion transporting device. In this transport device, the friction is very low and at the same time the veneer is moistened.
According to the present invention, the load-bearing laminate may consist of paper, plastic, glass fibers, woven or nonwoven, plywood, hardboard, plasterboard or wooden panels.
According to the method of the invention, a very thin and strong, good-looking veneer is obtained without the loss of material. The procedure is relatively inexpensive, because only very few steps are required. In addition, the veneer obtained reacts to a very small extent to changes in temperature and humidity, because it has only a very small mass.
In der zugehörigen Zeichnung zeigen:The invention will be described below with reference to an embodiment. In the accompanying drawing show:

In the first process step, the veneer plates 3; 4 cut to a thickness of 0.2 to 0.3 mm. When dried, they are first moistened and applied to the previously glued surface 2 of a supporting laminate 1 in the next process step. The connection between the adjacent veneer plates 3; 4 can be made as a butt joint or as a laced connection. In butt joints, the edges of the adjacent veneer panels 3; 4 cut in a straight line and arranged against each other. Lashed connections are described in more detail below with reference to FIGS.
In Fig. 1, the pressing effects 10 and the heat 11 are shown. Moisture 12 of the veneer rises. The adhesive can penetrate into the dry cells 3 'only to such an extent as the cells 3' are dried. The glue can not penetrate into the upper areas of the veneer because this is prevented by the steam pad obtained by the wet veneer. At the same time, the adhesive penetrates into the load-bearing laminate 1.
In Figs. 2 to 4, there is shown a solution in which a lanced connection is used to fix the veneer plates 3; 4 when attached to the load-bearing laminate 1. In Fig. 2 is shown how the veneer plates 3; 4 overlap each other. In Fig. 3, hot pressing is applied as described above, and in Fig. 4, the overlapping part 8 of a veneer plate 3 is removed. This can be achieved, for example, by blowing air at a high pressure against the overlapping part 8 of the veneer plate 3, whereby the dry edge can be removed and a fairly good connection is achieved.
In Fig. 5, a solution is shown in which a lashed connection is used which has a non-straight connection 9. As a result, compound 9 follows the fibers of the tree and the compound becomes very natural and unobtrusive.
