Abstract
Η παρούσα εφεύρεση αφορά σε μία διάταξη για τη σταθεροποίηση καταγμάτων μακρών οστών, η οποία περιλαμβάνει ένα διαμορφωμένο ως ελικοειδής ράβδος (10) στοιχείο σταθεροποίησης, το οποίο μπορεί να εισάγεται μέσα στην κοιλότητα ενός μακρού οστού και το οποίο παρουσιάζει μία διάταξη σε τουλάχιστον ένα άκρο για τη στερέωση. Προβλέπεται ότι η ελικοειδής ράβδος εκτός από μία πολύ υψηλή κατακόρυφη σταθερά ελατηρίου παρουσιάζει ιδίως μία μειωμένη στο «φυσιολογικό» μέτρο σταθερά κάμψης ελατηρίου σε σχέση με έναν ήλο μυελού, έτσι ώστε μετά την εισαγωγή μέσα στο οστό να προκαλούνται ελάχιστες κινήσεις που προωθούν τη θεραπεία. Η ελικοειδής ράβδος έχει περαιτέρω κατά προτίμηση μία κανονικοποιημένη, ομοιόμορφα διαμορφωμένη κεφαλή, η οποία είναι ανεξάρτητη από τη μεταβλητή, προσαρμοσμένη στο εκάστοτε οστό εξωτερική διάμετρο της ελικοειδούς ράβδου. Καθώς η κεφαλή είναι διαμορφωμένη ενιαία και τυποποιημένη, μπορεί να χρησιμοποιείται ένα ενιαίο εργαλείο ανεξάρτητα από το μέγεθος (διάμετρο) της κάθε φορά κατά την εγχείριση χρησιμοποιούμενης ελικοειδούς ράβδου (10). Στην περιοχή κεφαλής κανείς μπορεί επίσης να παρεμβαίνει, προκειμένου να ξεβιδώσει και πάλι το σπειροειδές ελατήριο.
