Abstract

Ένας νέος υπερθερμόφιλος μικροοργανισμός, πιο συγκεκριμένα, ένας υπερθερμόφιλος μικροοργανισμός (Caldothrix satumae) ο οποίος ανήκει σε ένα νέο γένος το οποίο δημιουργείται στο λίπασμα το οποίο αποκτάται μέσω ζύμωσης οργανικών αποβλήτων υλικών στους 85°C ή παραπάνω και μπορεί να αναπτυχθεί(αυξηθεί) στους 80°C ή παραπάνω. Αυτός ο υπερθερμόφιλος μικροοργανισμός δεν αυξάνεται στους 50°C ή παρακάτω αλλά αυξάνεται έντονα και πολλαπλασιάζεται στους 70 έως 85°C. Είναι ένας γκραμ-αρνητικός και απολύτως αερόβιος βάκιλος ο οποίος δεν σχηματίζει κανένα σπόριο. Είναι χρήσιμος ως ένας μικροοργανισμός ζύμωσης στην παραγωγή λιπάσματος. Επίσης, είναι χρησιμοποιήσιμος στην παραγωγή ενός θερμόφιλου ενζύμου.
