Abstract

Una instalación y un proceso para la producción de lípidos (aceite) de microalgas que comprende el cultivo en sistema cerrado mediante crecimiento secuencial, que comprende una fase de crecimiento fotótrofo, en tres reactores con volumen duplicado cada uno respecto al anterior; y una fase de crecimiento quimiótrofo, con cinco reactores sin iluminación, los tres primeros con volúmenes mayores uno respecto al otro, donde las microalgas están nutridas mediante suministración de un nutriente sacarino proveniente de descartes de industrias azucarera y confitera, por ejemplo melaza o bagazo, o bien agua de confitura con un contenido sacarino comprendido entre el 20% y el 60% del peso. Lo slípidos obtenidos pueden destinarse a combustibles, a la alimentación humana o como integradores en el ámbito de la industria forrajera.
