Abstract
La invención se relaciona con un proceso para la producción de lípidos (aceite) a partir de microalgas, que comprende el cultivo de microalgas por crecimiento fotoautotrófico-heterotrófico secuencial, en donde, en la etapa heterotrófica, las microalgas se alimentan por la administración de un suministro de azúcar que se deriva de desechos de la producción de azúcares, por ejemplo, melaza o bagazo, o bien que se deriva de desechos de la industria de caramelización de frutas, por ejemplo, agua de caramelización, que tiene un contenido de azúcar comprendido entre 20% y 60% en peso. La invención también se relaciona con una planta para la producción de lípidos (aceite) a partir de microalgas, destinada a llevar a cabo el proceso de la invención.
