Abstract
Se divulgan cepas de labyrinthulomycetes mejoradas que producen aceites microbianos con aumento de contenido de ácido decosahecanoico (DHA). Las cepas tienen mayor productividad con respecto a una cepa de tipo salvaje. Asimismo, se proveen composiciones de aceite microbiano con aumento de contenido de DHA. Tambien se incluyen métodos para mejorar las cepas para la producción de lípidos, tal como DHA.
