Abstract
Una estructura de hormigón armado comprende una armadura (1, 11) compuesta por una pluralidad de elementos alargados longitudinales (2, 12) de fibra de vidrio o de un material similar, dispuestos sustancialmente paralelos entre sí en al menos una dirección predeterminada. Los elementos longitudinales alargados están acoplados entre sí por medio de elementos de acoplamiento (3, 13) de fibra de vidrio, o formados por una tira de material de polímero flexible. Se mezclan fibras metálicas y/o sintéticas con la matriz de hormigón para otorgar a la estructura resistencia al cizallamiento, por lo que es posiblereducir sustancialmente el número de elementos de acoplamiento (3, 13).
