Abstract

Se describe una composición farmacéutica sinergística novedosa, para la preparación de formulaciones tópicas para profilaxis y tratamiento de heridas, heridas por quemaduras, injertos de piel, úlceras por presión y úlceras de pie diabético. La composición sinergística comprende una proteína mitogénica en combinación con uno o más agentes bactericidas y bacteriostáticos. La proteína mitogénica en la invención es el factor de crecimiento epidérmico humano recombinante (rh-EGF de Bharat Biotech International Limited) y cualquier otro factor de crecimiento como rh-PDGF-BB y los agentes bactericidas y bacteriostáticos son los antibióticos de amplio espectro sulfadiazina de plata (SSD) y gluconato de clorhexidina (CHG). Las formulaciones tópicas, además de la composición sinergística, también comprenden ingredientes base, vehículos, emulsionantes, emolientes cutáneos y chupetes y uno o más de otros componentes. La composición novedosa produce efectos sinergísticos como cobertura antibacteriana más amplia, la reversión del efecto de plata de la SSD, por el rh-EGF, efectividad contra los micro-organismos resistentes a la plata en las heridas por quemadura y mejor y más rápida curación de la herida. La composición novedosa se puede usar para preparar las formulaciones tópicas en forma de crema, gel o líquido. Las formulaciones novedosas tienen una vida más larga y son estables por más de dos años en almacenamiento a temperatura de 2- 8° grados.
