Abstract

Un artículo absorbente que tiene lados longitudinales yextremos transversales, una superficie que roza al cuerpo y una superficie que roza a la prenda, dicho artículo comprende:a) una cubierta permeable al fluido sobre la superficie que roza al cuerpo; b) una barrera impermeable al fluido sobre dicha superficie que roza a la prenda;c) un núcleo absorbente al fluido que contiene lana de pulpa de madera entre la cubierta permeable al fluido y la barrera impermeable al fluido, dicho núcleo absorbente al fluido que tiene una región central y extremos transversales y un grosor de por lo menos alrededor de 0.20 pulgadas; y d) un elemento absorbente estabilizador adyacente a una porción superior de la región central del núcleo absorbente, donde el elemento estabilizador es capaz de absorber fluidos y permanecen estables cuando están húmedos, y donde el elemento estabilizador tiene un ancho lateral dentro de un rango de por lo menos alrededor de 0.5 pulgadas hasta menos que alrededor de 1.75 pulgadas.
