Abstract

Se describe un artículo absorbente, como por ejemplo una toalla higiénica, que tiene un elemento estabilizador que tiene un ancho lateral entre alrededorde 1,27 cm hasta menos que alrededor de 4,45 cm. El elemento estabilizador proporiona unar tículo con una resistencia aumentada al apelotonamiento y unarotura interna debido a las fuerzas de compresión laterales impartidas por los muslos de la usuaria. El elemento estabilizador es resistente a la rotura enhúmedo de tal forma que unaporci ón absorbente central del artículo mantiene contacto con el área perineal del usuario.
