Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para aislar una población de células madre mesenquimales de la membrana amniótica del cordón umbilical, el método que comprende cultivar el tejido de cordón umbilical en un medio de cultivo que comprende DMEM (medio Eagle modificado de Dulbecco), F12 (Medio F12 de Ham), M171 (Medio 171) y FBS (Suero Bovino Fetal). La invención también se refiere a una población de células madre mesenquimales aisladas de la membrana amniótica del cordón umbilical, en donde al menos aproximadamente 90% o más células de la población de células madre expresan cada uno de los siguientes marcadores: CD73, CD90 y CD105 y carecen de expresión de los siguientes marcadores: CD34, CD45 y HLA-DR. La invención también se refiere a una composición farmacéutica de esta población de células madre mesenquimales.
