Abstract

一种小型可插拔光收发模块壳体,是由单片材料加工而成,它主要包括两个侧壁、一块上盖板、一块底板和一块后盖。其中,每一个侧壁下边缘分别具有多个长脚和短脚。长脚包括一个主体,该主体有一定程度弯曲并且和它所在的侧壁在同一平面内。短脚用来抵顶印刷电路板,使壳体和印刷电路板之间形成一定间隙。后盖由外板和内板组成,外板上有一个矩形孔,矩形孔和内板上对应位置的卡片相配合。

小型可插拔光收发模块壳体
[技术领域]
本实用新型是关于一种应用于光通信系统的小型可插拔光收发模块,特别是关于一种用来接收和传送高速率数据信号的小型可插拔光收发模块壳体。
[背景技术]
在光通信系统中,光收发模块用在光传输链路与电界面之间提供双向数据传输。该模块将来自电界面的编码电信号转换为相应的光信号,并将这个光信号传输到光传输链路。同时,该模块也将来自于光传输链路的光编码信号转换成相应的电信号,并将其传送到电界面。
通常,光收发模块安装在主机、输入/输出系统、外围设备或交换机等设备的印刷电路板上,可插拔光收发模块是插接在固定于印刷电路板上的金属壳体中,该金属壳体应便于与可插拔光收发模块相连接,而且便于安装在印刷电路板上,作为静电遮蔽壳体来消除静电。
该金属壳体大体上具有两个平行的侧壁、一个矩形上盖、一个矩形底面和一对相对的端面。现有的壳体采用两片式设计,即具有上、下两壳体,上、下壳体是由特定卡扣结构相卡配而连接在一起的。然而,该种壳体设计的机械强度不够,并且制造与安装较麻烦。另外,在安装过程中,现有的壳体只具有定位脚,而不具有卡钩结构,在回流焊接过程中,金属壳体容易脱离印刷电路板,导致安装失效。
[发明内容]
本实用新型的目的在于提高小型可插拔光收发模块壳体的机械稳定性。本实用新型的另一个目的在于使该小型可插拔光收发模块壳体在回流焊接过程中不会脱离印刷电路板。
本实用新型的目的是这样实现的:提供一种小型可插拔光收发模块壳体,该壳体由单片材料制成,包括一块上盖板、一块底板、一块后盖、一块侧壁盖和第一、第二侧壁,其中,后盖包括相互卡扣配合的一块外板和一块内板,第一侧壁与底板相连接,第二侧壁分别与上盖板和底板相连接。另,该小型可插拔光收发模块壳体还包括一种穿过印刷电路板的长脚。
与现有技术相比,本实用新型具有如下显著效果:由于本实用新型提供的小型可插拔光收发模块壳体是由单片材料加工而成,因而具有良好的机械稳定性,且因该壳体具多个具弯曲主体的长脚和短脚,因而在回流焊接的时候可以有效的将壳体固定在印刷电路板上,并防止焊料沾污壳体表面。

[具体实施方式]
请参照图1至图4,本实用新型小型可插拔光收发模块壳体1是安装在一块印刷电路板上(图未示),它包括第一侧壁2a、第二侧壁2b、一块侧壁盖3、一块上盖板4、一块底板5及一块后盖,后盖包括外板6、内板7及弹片8a、8b。该小型可插拔光收发模块壳体1由单片金属材料加工而成,相对于现有壳体的两片式设计更具机械稳定性。
第一侧壁2a与第二侧壁2b上靠近其前端的地方分别有接地弹片24a、24b,并且每一侧壁2a、2b下边缘分别有多个长脚22和短脚23。另外,第一侧壁2a进一步有多个卡扣弹片21,它的后端与内板7交接处有一个凹槽25。
上盖板4前端有多个接地弹片41,其它部分上设有多个孔42。上盖板4侧壁往下弯曲延伸形成的侧壁盖3上对应于第一侧壁2a多个卡扣弹片21的位置有对应数目的开口31,侧壁盖3上对应第一侧壁2a接地弹片24a的地方还开有一个开口32,开口31、32是分别与卡扣弹片21、接地弹片24a扣合。
上盖板4的后端往下弯曲延伸形成外板6,外板6上具有一个矩形孔61,第二侧壁2b后端弯折延伸形成内板7,内板7上对应外板6矩形孔61的位置有一块卡片71,组装时卡片71与矩形孔61扣合。内板7的自由端有一块凸片73,凸片73是嵌卡在第一侧壁2a的凹槽25中。内板7下边缘往下延伸出脚72,脚72和印刷电路板上的相应孔(图未示)配合。另外,第一侧壁2a和第二侧壁2b的后端分别弯曲,并相向延伸出两块弹片8a、8b,作为接地之用。
请参照图5至图7,安装壳体1到印刷电路板上(图未示)时,长脚22穿过印刷电路板上相应的孔洞,短脚23抵顶在印刷电路板上。每一长脚22包括一个主体222,主体222有一定程度弯曲(参照图7),并且与其所在的侧壁2a、2b共平面,主体222还包括一个扩大的圆形端部221。每一短脚23包括一个延伸体232,延伸体232具圆形端部231。在回流焊接时,长脚22插入印刷电路板上相应孔洞中,由于弯折的主体222与印刷电路板孔洞的干涉配合及扩大的圆形端部221对印刷电路板的钩扣作用,可有效防止壳体1通过焊锡池时浮起而脱离印刷电路板。如图5所示,每一侧壁2a、2b分别形成有三个长脚22,两个侧壁的六个长脚中有三个长脚22是朝壳体1的后端弯曲,而另三个长脚22朝远离壳体1后端弯曲,这样的设计可增强壳体1与印刷电路板的干涉配合与连接。另外,回流焊接时,由于短脚23抵顶印刷电路板,使得壳体1与印刷电路板之间存在一定间隙,可防止溢锡现象所引起的焊锡沾污壳体表面。
请进一步参照图5,底板5短于上盖板4,底板5上靠近壳体1的前端有一块折片52和位于折片52两侧的接地弹片51a、51b。底板5上靠近折片52的地方有一支撑脚53,同时,底板5靠近壳体1的后端还有两支撑脚54,用来支撑壳体1。

Claims (9)

1.一种小型可插拔光收发模块壳体,其特征在于:该小型可插拔光收发模块壳体由单片材料制成,  包括一块上盖板、一块底板、一块后盖、一块侧壁盖和第一、第二侧壁,其中,后盖包括相互卡扣配合的一块外板和一块内板,第一侧壁与底板相连接,第二侧壁分别与上盖板和底板相连接。
2.如权利要求1所述的小型可插拔光收发模块壳体,其特征在于:内板由第二侧壁延伸形成,相对于第二侧壁形成一个自由端,外板由上盖板弯曲延伸形成。
3.如权利要求2所述的小型可插拔光收发模块壳体,其特征在于:内板的自由端有一块凸片,第一侧壁后边缘有一个凹槽,凹槽和内板自由端凸片相扣合。
4.如权利要求1所述的小型可插拔光收发模块壳体,其特征在于:第一侧壁、第二侧壁下缘分别具有两种类型的脚,一种是穿过印刷电路板的长脚,一种是抵顶印刷电路板的短脚。
5.如权利要求4所述的小型可插拔光收发模块壳体,其特征在于:至少一个长脚包括一个主体,该主体有一定程度弯曲并且包括一扩大的圆形端部。
6.如权利要求5所述的小型可插拔光收发模块壳体,其特征在于:长脚的主体可选择背离或者朝向小型可插拔光收发模块壳体后端方向弯曲。
7.如权利要求2所述的小型可插拔光收发模块壳体,其特征在于:外板上开设有一孔,内板上与外板孔对应位置处设有一卡片。
8.如权利要求2所述的小型可插拔光收发模块壳体,其特征在于:内板下边缘延伸出多个脚。
9.如权利要求1所述的小型可插拔光收发模块壳体,其特征在于:侧壁盖由上盖板一个边缘往下弯折延伸形成并且叠盖在第一侧壁上。
