Abstract
本实用新型提供一种显示面板驱动装置。显示面板驱动装置以薄膜覆晶封装的方式配置于薄膜上。选择电路接收多个驱动电压。控制电路耦接选择电路,控制选择电路输出多个驱动电压之其一,以驱动显示面板。
Description
技术领域
本实用新型涉及一种驱动装置,尤其涉及一种显示面板驱动装置。
背景技术
一般而言,卷带式封装(Tape Carrier Package,TCP)、玻璃覆晶(Chip On Glass,COG)封装以及薄膜覆晶(Chip On Film,COF)封装基板可用于驱动LCD面板之半导体式封装。以薄膜覆晶方式为例,由于不易在薄膜覆晶封装基板上进行穿孔绕线,因此对应不同控制信号,需在薄膜覆晶封装基板上分别设置走线。举例来说,图1是先前技术的显示面板与薄膜覆晶封装基板的示意图,如图1所示,控制芯片IC1可提供多个控制电压V1~V4给显示面板DP1。在各个控制电压V1~V4的信号类型相同(例如高电压水平与低电压水平皆分别相同)的情形下,在薄膜F1上的走线布局可较为单纯,不会出现薄膜F1上的走线需相互跨越的情形。
然当控制电压V1~V4的信号类型不同时,例如各个控制电压V1~V4的高电压水平与低电压水平与其他控制电压不完全相同时,走线布局的设计方式将受到限制,而容易出现薄膜F1上的走线需相互跨越的情形。由于薄膜F1因其自身单层走线的限制并无法设置跳线,此时将如图2所示,走线布局需延伸至印刷电路板PB1上,并藉由跳线W1连接接触点C1与C2来解决走线需相互跨越的问题。然而,这样的设计将使得走线变长,进而使制作成本变高,此外控制信号被干扰的风险也会变大。
实用新型内容
本实用新型提供一种显示面板驱动装置,可有效地避免薄膜覆晶封装基板出现需藉由额外跳线来设计走线布局的情形。
本实用新型的显示面板驱动装置为以薄膜覆晶封装的方式配置于薄膜上,显示面板驱动装置包括至少一选择电路以及控制电路。选择电路分别接收多个驱动电压。控制电路耦接选择电路,控制各选择电路输出多个驱动电压之其一,以驱动显示面板。
基于上述,本实用新型实施例的选择电路可接收多个驱动电压,并受控于控制电路以输出多个驱动电压之其一,以驱动显示面板,如此便可使薄膜覆晶封装基板上的走线传输具有不同电压水平的驱动电压,而不需另外藉由跳线来提供不同电压水平的驱动电压。
为让本实用新型的上述特征和优点能更明显易懂,下文特举实施例,并配合所附图式作详细说明如下。

具体实施方式
图3是依照本实用新型的实施例的一种显示面板驱动装置的示意图,请参照图3。显示面板驱动装置100为以薄膜覆晶封装的方式配置于薄膜102上,显示面板驱动装置100包括选择电路D1~DM以及控制电路104,其中M为正整数。控制电路104耦接选择电路D1~DM,选择电路D1~DM透过薄膜102上的薄膜覆晶导线耦接至显示面板106。
各个选择电路D1~DM可接收多个驱动电压V1~VN,其中N为正整数,各个驱动电压V1~VN可具有不同的电压值。控制电路104可分别控制各个选择电路D1~DM输出驱动电压V1~VN之其一至对应的薄膜覆晶导线,以驱动显示面板106显示影像画面。选择电路D1~DM可例如为栅极驱动电路,其所输出的驱动电压用以驱动对应的栅极扫描线。
藉由控制电路104分别控制选择电路D1~DM输出多个驱动电压之其一,以驱动显示面板106,可使薄膜覆晶封装基板上的薄膜覆晶导线传输具有不同电压水平的驱动电压,而不需另外藉由跳线来提供不同电压水平的驱动电压,因此可有效地降低制作成本,避免驱动电压因走线过长而出现噪声干扰的问题,进而影响显示面板106的显示质量。
图4是依照本实用新型另一的实施例的一种显示面板驱动装置的示意图,请参照图4。与图3实施例的不同之处在于,在本实施例中,各个选择电路D1~DM以多路复用器来实施,为保持图示简洁,图4仅绘示出一个多路复用器202并省略绘示薄膜102,然多路复用器的数量(亦即选择电路的数量)不以此为限。如图4所示,多路复用器202的输入端可接收多个驱动电压V1~VN,多路复用器202的控制端耦接控制电路104,多路复用器202的输出端则透过对应的薄膜覆晶导线耦接至显示面板106。控制电路104可控制多路复用器202输出驱动电压V1~VN之其一至显示面板106,以驱动显示面板106显示影像画面。
图5是依照本实用新型另一的实施例的一种显示面板驱动装置的示意图,请参照图5。与图3实施例的不同之处在于,在本实施例中,各个选择电路D1~DM可包括多个开关(为保持图示简洁,图5仅绘示出一个选择电路的实施架构,并省略绘示薄膜102),其中各个开关可例如由晶体管M1~M6来实施,然不以此为限。晶体管M1~M6的栅极耦接控制电路104,晶体管M1、M4串接于电压VCH与电压VCL之间,晶体管M2、M5串接于电压VBH与电压VBL之间,晶体管M3、M6串接于电压VAH与电压VAL之间。此外,晶体管M1、M4的共同接点、晶体管M2、M5的共同接点以及晶体管M3、M6的共同接点透过同一条薄膜覆晶导线连接到显示面板106。控制电路104可控制晶体管M1~M6的导通状态,以自电压VAH、VAL、VBH、VBL、VCH以及VCL中选择其一输出至显示面板106,以驱动显示面板106显示影像画面。
值得注意的是,在其它实施例中,选择电路所包括的晶体管数量并不以本实施例为限,视实际应用的情形,选择电路所包括的晶体管数量也可更多,如此选择电路可提供更多种不同的驱动电压来驱动显示面板。
综上所述,本实用新型实施例的选择电路可接收多个驱动电压,并受控于控制电路输出多个驱动电压之其一,以驱动显示面板,如此便可使薄膜覆晶封装基板上的走线传输具有不同电压水平的驱动电压,而不需另外藉由跳线来提供不同电压水平的驱动电压,因此可有效地降低制作成本,并避免驱动电压因走线过长而受噪声干扰,而影响显示面板的显示质量。
Claims (7)
1.一种显示面板驱动装置,所述显示面板驱动装置以薄膜覆晶封装的方式配置于薄膜上,其特征在于,所述显示面板驱动装置包括:
至少一选择电路,分别接收多个驱动电压;以及
控制电路,耦接所述至少一选择电路,控制各所述选择电路输出所述多个驱动电压之其一,以驱动所述显示面板。
2.根据权利要求1所述的显示面板驱动装置,其特征在于,各所述选择电路包括:
多路复用器,所述多路复用器的输入端接收所述多个驱动电压,并受控于所述控制电路,进而选择所述多个驱动电压之其一输出至所述显示面板。
3.根据权利要求1所述的显示面板驱动装置,其特征在于,各所述选择电路包括:
多个开关,各所述开关的一端耦接所述选择电路的输出端,另一端则耦接至对应之所述驱动电压,其中,所述控制电路透过各所述开关的控制端控制所述多个开关的导通状态,以输出所述多个驱动电压之其一来驱动所述显示面板。
4.根据权利要求3所述的显示面板驱动装置,其特征在于,各所述开关为晶体管。
5.根据权利要求1所述的显示面板驱动装置,其特征在于,各所述选择电路为栅极驱动电路,输出所述多个驱动电压之其一,以驱动对应的栅极扫描线。
6.根据权利要求1所述的显示面板驱动装置,其特征在于,所述多个驱动电压具有不同的电压值。
7.根据权利要求1所述的显示面板驱动装置,其特征在于,各所述选择电路受控于所述控制电路,输出所述多个驱动电压之其一至对应的薄膜覆晶导线,透过所述薄膜覆晶导线耦接并驱动所述显示面板。
