本实用新型公开了一种液晶显示面板,包括多条数据线以及多条扫描线,所述数据线和所述扫描线相互垂直交叉排列,彼此相邻的两条数据线和彼此相邻的两条扫描线交叉形成一像素单元,相邻的三条扫描线与相邻的三条数据线交叉形成四个像素单元,上述四个像素单元构成一像素周期单元,所述像素周期单元中其中一行的两个像素单元分别连接两侧的数据线,另一行的两个像素单元连接中间的数据线。本实用新型液晶显示面板大大地降低了功耗。

液晶显示面板
【技术领域】
本实用新型属于液晶显示技术领域,特别是涉及一种液晶显示面板。
【背景技术】
随着液晶显示器的不断普及,对液晶显示器各项功能的要求也越来越高。
请参阅图1,图1为一种现有技术液晶显示面板的像素结构示意图。上述液晶显示面板包括m条数据线D″1~D″m,n条扫描线G″1~G″n,数据线和扫描线相互交叉排列,彼此相邻的两条数据线与彼此相邻的两条扫描线的交叉区域形成一像素单元(未标号)。每一像素单元内设置一薄膜晶体管和一液晶电容(图未示)。
一般在数据线(D″~1D″m)上所传送的数据信号,以公共电压Vcom作为参考电压,可以分为正极性数据信号与负极性数据信号。正极性数据信号是指其电压高于公共电压Vcom,而负极性数据信号是指其电压低于公共电压Vcom。同一灰阶值分别以正极性数据信号和负极性数据信号表示时,理论上显示效果是一致的。
液晶分子具有这样一种特性:若加载于液晶层两端的电场方向长时间保持不变,那么液晶分子的特性便会遭到破坏,即无法再因应电场的变化来转动,从而形成不同的灰阶。因此,每隔一定时间就必须改变电场方向以是液晶分子反转,从而避免液晶分子的特性遭到破坏。为此,业界发展了多种驱动方法来实现液晶分子的反转,如点反转(dot inversion)驱动方法,帧反转(frame inversion)驱动方法,列反转(column inversion)驱动方法以及行反转(row inversion)驱动方法。
当上述液晶显示器面板采用图1所示的行反转驱动方法时,奇数行的像素单元和偶数行像素单元的液晶电容的电场方向相反,因此奇数列数据线D″2k-1和偶数列数据线D″2k上的电压需要如图2所示在一帧时间T内进行不断的极性切换。然而,数据线上电压的极性频繁切换势必增大了液晶显示面板的功耗,造成资源浪费。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型的一个目的在于提供一种液晶显示面板,以解决现有技术中液晶显示器面板采用行反转驱动方法时,数据线上的电压需要在正极性和负极性之间进行不断的切换,导致液晶显示面板的功耗增大,造成资源浪费的技术问题。
为解决上述问题,本实用新型构造了一种液晶显示面板,包括多条数据线以及多条扫描线,所述数据线和所述扫描线相互垂直交叉排列,相邻的两条数据线与相邻的两条扫描线交叉形成一像素单元,相邻的三条扫描线与相邻的三条数据线交叉形成四个像素单元,上述四个像素单元构成一像素周期单元,所述像素周期单元中其中一行的两个像素单元分别连接两侧的数据线,另一行的两个像素单元都连接中间的数据线。
在本实用新型的液晶显示面板中,同一行的相邻的两个像素单元分别连接该行的上下两条相邻的扫描线。
在本实用新型的液晶显示面板中,所述像素周期单元中顶行的两个像素单元分别连接两侧的数据线,底行的两个像素单元连接中间的数据线。
在本实用新型的液晶显示面板中,多个像素周期单元沿行方向依次排列。
在本实用新型的液晶显示面板中,多个像素周期单元沿列方向依次排列。
在本实用新型的液晶显示面板中,上述每一像素单元内设置有一薄膜晶体管,所述像素周期单元中顶行的两个像素单元的薄膜晶体管的源极分别连接两侧的数据线,底行的两个像素单元的薄膜晶体管的源极都连接中间的数据线。
在本实用新型的液晶显示面板中,同一行的相邻的两个像素单元的薄膜晶体管的栅极分别连接该行的上下两条相邻的扫描线。
本实用新型相对于现有技术,可以利用奇数列数据线和偶数列数据线将极性相反的灰阶电压分别写入奇数行像素单元和偶数行像素单元,在不需要对数据线的极性进行不断切换的情况下,实现行反转驱动。因此,本实用新型液晶显示面板大大地降低了功耗。
为让本实用新型的上述内容能更明显易懂,下文特举优选实施例,并配合所附图式,作详细说明如下:

【具体实施方式】
以下各实施例的说明是参考附加的图式,用以例示本实用新型可用以实施的特定实施例。
图3示出了本实用新型液晶显示面板一较佳实施例的像素结构示意图。
上述液晶显示面板包括多个像素,m条数据线D1~Dm以及n条扫描线G~Gn,其中,所述数据线和所述扫描线相互垂直交叉排列。从图3不难看出,相邻两条数据线和相邻两条扫描线交叉形成一像素单元(未标号)。每一像素单元内设置一薄膜晶体管和一液晶电容(图未示)。上述扫描线用于为像素单元提供扫描信号。上述数据线用于为像素单元提供灰阶电压。
请一并参阅图4,相邻的三条扫描线G1、G2、G3与相邻的三条数据线D1、D2、D3交叉形成的四个像素单元311、312、313和314,上述四个像素单元构成一像素周期单元31。上述像素周期单元31沿行方向B1依次排列,也沿列方向B2依次排列。
在上述像素周期单元31中,顶行(即M1行)的两个像素单元311的薄膜晶体管的源极分别连接数据线D1和D3;底行(即M2行)的两个像素313和像素单元314的薄膜晶体管的源极则都连接中间的数据线D2。同一行的相邻的两个像素单元分别由该行的上下两条相邻的扫描线提供扫描信号。具体来说,即位于M1行的相邻的两个像素单元311和312的薄膜晶体管的栅极分别连接上下两条相邻的扫描线G1和G2,位于M2行的相邻的两个像素单元313和314的薄膜晶体管的栅极分别连接上下两条相邻的扫描线G2和G3。
在其它实施例中,顶行和底行的像素单元的结构可以互换。
请参阅图5,图5为图3所示液晶显示面板在采用行反转驱动方法时数据线上的电压波形图。每一条数据线上的灰阶电压的极性在一帧时间T内保持不变,且彼此相邻的两条数据线D2k-1和D2k被提供极性相反的灰阶电压。本实施例中,奇数列数据线D2k-1上的灰阶电压为正极性(即电压高于公共电压Vcom),偶数列数据线D2k上的灰阶电压为负极性(即电压低于公共电压Vcom),K为自然数。
请一并参阅图4和图5,上述液晶显示面板的像素周期单元31的显示方法如下:
首先,扫描线G 1提供一扫描信号,像素单元311的薄膜晶体管开启,此时,数据线D1提供一正极性的灰阶电压到像素单元311;
然后,扫描线G2提供一扫描信号,像素单元312和313的薄膜晶体管同时开启,此时,数据线D2提供一负极性的灰阶电压到像素单元313,数据线D3提供一正极性的灰阶电压到像素单元312;
最后,扫描线G3提供一扫描信号,像素单元314的薄膜晶体管开启,此时,数据线D2提供一负极性的灰阶电压到像素单元314。
综上可知,数据线D1和D3的正极性灰阶电压被提供到第一行像素单元中,数据线D2的负极性灰阶电压被提供到第二行像素单元中。其它像素周期单元31的显示方法与上述像素周期单元31的显示方法相同。如此,奇数列数据线D2k-1的正极性灰阶电压被写入到奇数行像素单元中,偶数列数据线D2k的负极性灰阶电压被写入到偶数行像素单元中,从而使液晶显示面板每一行像素单元被写入的灰阶电压极性相反,实现了行反转驱动。
相较于现有技术,本实用新型液晶显示面板可以利用奇数列数据线D2k-1和偶数列数据线D2k将极性相反的灰阶电压分别写入奇数行像素单元和偶数行像素单元,在不需要对数据线的极性进行不断切换的情况下,实现行反转驱动。因此,本实用新型液晶显示面板大大地降低了功耗。
综上所述,虽然本实用新型已以优选实施例揭露如上,但上述优选实施例并非用以限制本实用新型,本领域的普通技术人员,在不脱离本实用新型的精神和范围内,均可作各种更动与润饰,因此本实用新型的保护范围以权利要求界定的范围为准

Claims (7)

1.一种液晶显示面板,包括多条数据线以及多条扫描线,所述数据线和所述扫描线相互垂直交叉排列,相邻的两条数据线与相邻的两条扫描线交叉形成一像素单元,其特征在于,
相邻的三条扫描线与相邻的三条数据线交叉形成四个像素单元,上述四个像素单元构成一像素周期单元,所述像素周期单元中其中一行的两个像素单元分别连接两侧的数据线,另一行的两个像素单元都连接中间的数据线。
2.根据权利要求1所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,同一行的相邻的两个像素单元分别连接该行的上下两条相邻的扫描线。
3.根据权利要求2所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,所述像素周期单元中顶行的两个像素单元分别连接两侧的数据线,底行的两个像素单元都连接中间的数据线。
4.根据权利要求2或3所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,多个像素周期单元沿行方向依次排列。
5.根据权利要求4所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,多个像素周期单元沿列方向依次排列。
6.根据权利要求2所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,上述每一像素单元内设置有一薄膜晶体管,所述像素周期单元中其中一行的两个像素单元的薄膜晶体管的源极分别连接两侧的数据线,另一行的两个像素单元的薄膜晶体管的源极则都连接中间的数据线。
7.根据权利要求6所述的液晶显示面板,其特征在于,同一行的相邻的两个像素单元的薄膜晶体管的栅极分别连接该行的上下两条相邻的扫描线。
