Abstract
本发明涉及一种在基底上制造粘合层的不连续图案的方法,包括下述步骤:(a)在传送方向上连续地或不连续地移动基底,(b)在涂覆区中,通过至少一个可移动的敷料器的至少一个大体上呈狭缝状的开口,将低粘度的粘合材料的可聚合和/可交联的前体材料两维地涂覆在基底上,利用敷料器相对于基底的移动而制造图案,(c)在涂覆区下游,聚合和/或交联所涂覆的前体材料。
Description
本发明涉及一种在基底上制造粘合层的不连续图案的方法。
在穿着于人身体的卫生制品例如自粘的婴儿尿布和用于尿失禁的尿布的制造中,存在将一层具有规定的、不连续图案的粘合材料涂覆在基底上的问题。
对于系于人体上的卫生制品而言,经常使用基于通常称为水凝胶的粘合材料。这些材料是基于亲水、不溶于水的聚合物的含水凝胶,其形成三维网状物。该粘合层进一步包括例如淀粉、改性淀粉、纤维素酯、植物胶和羧基聚亚烷基的水状胶体,和/或预聚物、部分交联的聚合物、共混聚合物、支化聚合物和接枝聚合物(共聚物)。
通过适当的前体化合物的溶液,例如适当的亲水单体或适当的未交联亲水单体或其混合物的溶液,在交联剂存在下进行光聚合获得水凝胶的粘合层。将前体混合物的溶液涂覆在基底上,并且通过暴露于高能辐射下使涂层光聚合或光交联,或者通过其它适当的方法使涂层聚合或交联。以所需的形状从所得基底冲压出图案,该基底已经涂覆有粘合层,并用于例如前述卫生制品的制造中。
该方法耗时费工,同时还有产生大量被浪费的边角料的缺点。
在F.W.v.Bach,T.Duda,Moderne Beschichtungsverfahren,Wiley-VCH Weinheim,Berlin,New York,2000中、或在K.W.Mertz,Praxishandbuch moderne Beschichtungen,Hanser,2001中描述了前述类型的“浇注”方法。在使用现有技术的“浇注”方法时,不可能在具有整齐边缘的不连续形状中使用低粘度液体。
本发明的目的是提供一种在基底上制造粘合层不连续图案的方法,所述方法是经济的且没有现有技术的缺陷。
我们已经发现,利用一种在基底上制造粘合层不连续图案的方法能够实现这一目的,该方法包括下述步骤:
(a)在传送方向上连续地或不连续地移动基底,
(b)在涂覆区中,通过至少一个可移动的敷料器的至少一个大体上呈狭缝状的开口,将低粘度粘合材料的可聚合和/或可交联的前体材料两维地涂覆在基底上,利用敷料器相对于基底的移动而制造图案,
(c)在涂覆区下游,所涂覆的前体材料聚合和/或交联。
其中适当地,在后续步骤中,
(d)已聚合的和/或已交联的材料进行后处理,强化和/或转化成最终产品的形式。
通常,以0.3至5mm、优选0.5至2mm的层厚将低粘度前体材料涂覆于基底上。
使用现有技术公知的“浇注”方法,只可能涂覆非常薄的涂层。
在传送方向上连续地或非连续地移动基底。基底经过涂覆区和聚合及交联区。通常基底为带状形式,所述带在涂覆区上游从带辊退绕,并在聚合和交联区域的下游重新被卷绕到带辊上,在此,适当地提供一个与其相伴的保护膜。本发明的方法优选包括涂覆基底、涂层的聚合和/或交联、其中通过适当地使用一种或多种进一步组分的后处理、用一保护层进行加衬和卷绕所形成的膜复合材料。也可以使用将其结成花彩、制成带片或其它适宜的储存、运输和分销片状材料方法取代所述退绕和重新卷绕所述材料的方式。
在本发明的一个实施方案中,利用机械手在基底平面内移动敷料器,其中敷料器至少有一个。所述机械手至少在基底平面内是完全可移动的,但通常是在所有三维空间方向上可移动,在涂覆低粘度前体材料的过程中,利用机械手相对于基底的移动制造图案。在涂覆过程中,也可进一步地在输送方向上移动基底,因为可对机械手编制程序以使其移动补偿基底的移动。
在本发明一个优选的实施方案中,所述至少一个敷料器沿着与基底的输送方向成一个角度的平移装置移动。因此,通过在输送方向上基底的移动和通过敷料器相对于所述方向横向的移动,来制造涂层图案。将平移装置适当地设置成垂直于输送方向,并且所述至少一个敷料器运动垂直于基底的输送方向进行,尽管完全可能以不等于90°的角度来设置平移装置。
特别优选,平移装置具有两个能够分别沿平移装置移动的敷料器。以这种方式,能够制造配套图案:例如,通过分别和共同移动敷料器,形成如圆形或椭圆形图案的环形配套图案。
也能够仅使用一个沿平移装置移动的敷料器制造环形配套图案。实现这一操作可以通过在涂覆过程中,首先通过在输送方向上移动基底以制造部分图案,随后通过简单地使基底反方向移动完成图案。
将可聚合和/或可交联的低粘度前体材料两维地涂覆在基底上;换句话说,所述层的涂覆厚度相对于所述层的涂覆宽度要小。涂覆宽度可以通过倾斜敷料器的狭缝状开口而改变。
所述层的涂覆宽度优选为3至50mm。
在本发明方法中使用的可移动敷料器大体上是非常小型化的。其尺寸仅受可获得的模具工艺的尺寸限定。
在涂覆区下游,按图案涂覆的可聚合和/或可交联的前体材料进行聚合和/或交联,由此最终产生按图案生成的粘合层。前体材料优选为可光聚合的和/或可辐射交联的。通过暴露于高能辐射进行光聚合和/或辐射交联,例如用电子束,优选用UV辐射进行光聚合和/或辐射交联,同时在前体材料中可以具有适当的引发剂。
光聚合和/或辐射交联可在特殊的交联气氛下进行:例如在具有用于基底的入口狭缝和出口狭缝、并具有辐射穿透窗的简单容器中进行,该容器内充满适当的气体混合物。适当的气体实例为惰性气体、氮气、二氧化碳或氧气混合物,该混合物包含比空气更少的氧气。
在本发明的一个优选实施方案中,由形成水凝胶的聚合物产生粘合层。形成水凝胶的聚合物特别是亲水单体聚合成的聚合物、在适宜的接枝基上的一种或多种亲水单体的接枝聚合物、梳型高聚物和聚合物网络、交联的纤维素醚或淀粉醚、交联的羧甲基纤维素、部分交联的聚环氧烷、或在含水液体中可膨胀的天然产品,例如瓜尔胶衍生物、海藻酸盐和角叉菜胶。
因此,低粘度可聚合或可交联的前体材料包括相应可聚合的和/或可交联的单体和/或聚合物、交联剂和适宜的引发剂,在交联中形成了构成水凝胶的交联的聚合物。可交联的前体材料可进一步包括水状胶体、增塑剂、多元醇、碳水化合物、聚醚、多糖、稳定剂、增稠剂、流变调节剂、抗氧化剂、UV稳定剂、护肤剂、抗菌或细菌抑制剂、填料例如有机或无机胶体、颜料、水溶性盐化合物、膨润土、硅酸盐、二氧化钛、纳米颗粒、表面活性剂、防腐剂、染料、香料和水。
适宜的聚合物可以是天然或合成的物质。实例为淀粉、纤维素或纤维素衍生物、以及其它多糖和低聚糖、聚乙烯醇、聚环氧烷、特别是聚环氧乙烷和环氧丙烷、聚合电解质、聚醚、聚胺、聚酰胺和亲水的聚酯。例如,适宜的聚环氧烷具有下述通式:

R1和R2 各自独立地为氢、烷基、链烯基或酰基,
X 为氢或甲基,和
n 为1至10,000的整数。
R1和R2 优选为氢、C1-C4烷基、C2-C6的烯基或苯基。
优选构成水凝胶的聚合物为包含酸性基团的其盐形式的聚合物,通常是碱金属、碱土金属或铵盐的形式。这种聚合物在与含水液体接触时强烈地膨胀形成凝胶。
优选的聚合物是通过酸性官能单烯属不饱和单体或其盐的交联聚合或共聚所得到的那些。也可不用交联剂将单体聚合或共聚,然后再进行交联。
酸性官能单体(携带酸性基团的单体)的实例包括单烯属不饱和的C3至C25羧酸或酸酐,例如丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、乙基丙烯酸、α-氯丙烯酸、巴豆酸、马来酸、马来酸酐、衣康酸、柠康酸、中康酸、戊烯二酸、乌头酸和富马酸。其它适宜的为单烯键不饱和的磺酸或膦酸及其盐,实例为乙烯基磺酸、烯丙基磺酸、磺乙基甲基丙烯酸盐、磺甲基丙烯酸盐、磺丙基丙烯酸盐、磺丙基甲基丙烯酸盐、2-羟基-3-丙烯酰丙氧基磺酸、2-羟基-3-甲基丙烯酰丙氧基磺酸、乙烯膦酸、烯丙基膦酸、苯乙烯磺酸和2-丙烯酰胺-2-甲基丙烷磺酸。单体可单独使用或与其它单体形成混合物使用。
在低粘度前体材料中可出现的优选的单体为丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、乙烯基磺酸、丙烯酰胺丙烷磺酸、以及它们的衍生物和盐。这些酸和它们的盐的混合物同样也是适宜的,例如,丙烯酸和甲基丙烯酸的混合物、丙烯酸和丙烯酰胺丙烷磺酸的混合物、或丙烯酸和乙烯基磺酸的混合物。
为了使粘合层的性能最优化,可交联的低粘度前体材料可包括水溶性或水分散性单体和不携带任何酸性基团、但可与酸性官能单体共聚合的单烯键不饱和化合物。其实例包括单烯键不饱和羧酸的酰胺或腈,例如丙烯酰胺、甲基丙烯酰胺、N-乙烯基甲酰胺、N-乙烯基乙酰胺、N-甲基乙烯基乙酰胺、丙烯腈、甲基丙烯腈。其它适宜的化合物的实例为饱和的C1至C4羧酸的乙烯基酯,例如甲酸乙烯酯、乙酸乙烯酯或丙酸乙烯酯;在烷基中具有至少2个碳原子的烷基乙烯醚,例如乙基乙烯醚或丁基乙烯醚;单烯键不饱和的C3至C6羧酸的酯,例如一羟基C1至C18醇和丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸或马来酸或马来酸酐的酯;马来酸的单酯,例如马来酸一甲酯;N-乙烯基内酰胺,例如N-乙烯基吡咯烷酮或N-乙烯基己内酰胺;烷氧基化的一羟基饱和醇的丙烯酸和甲基丙烯酸酯,例如每摩尔具有10至25个碳原子醇与2至200摩尔的环氧乙烷或环氧丙烷的反应物;以及聚乙二醇或聚丙二醇的丙烯酸单酯和甲基丙烯酸单酯,其中聚亚烷基二醇的摩尔量(Mn)可为例如最多2000。其它适宜的单体包括苯乙烯和烷基取代的苯乙烯,例如乙基苯乙烯或叔丁基苯乙烯。
这些非酸性官能单体也可以在具有其它单体的混合物中使用,实例为以任何比例的乙酸乙烯酯和丙烯酸-2-羟乙酯的混合物。可将这些非酸性官能单体以0至90重量%,优选小于20重量%的量,加入到低粘度前体材料中。
构成水凝胶的交联聚合物优选是由基于单体总重量的60至100重量%的酸性官能单烯键不饱和单体、和0至40重量%未携带酸性基团的单烯属不饱和单体构成,所述酸性官能单烯属不饱和单体可被转化成其碱金属、碱土金属或铵的盐。
特别优选的是单烯属不饱和C3至C12的羧酸和/或其碱金属、碱土金属或铵盐的交联的聚合物。尤其,优选交联聚丙烯酸,其中10-100%的所述酸基为碱金属盐或铵盐的形式。
能够作为交联剂的化合物是那些包含至少两个烯键式不饱和双键的化合物。此类化合物的实例为N,N’-亚甲双丙烯酰胺、由具有106至8500、优选400至2000分子量的聚乙二醇衍生的聚乙二醇二丙烯酸酯和聚乙二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯、三羟甲基丙烷三丙烯酸酯、三羟甲基丙烷三甲基丙烯酸酯、乙二醇二丙烯酸酯、乙二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯、丙二醇二丙烯酸酯、丙二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯、丁二醇二丙烯酸酯、丁二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯、己二醇二丙烯酸酯、己二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯、甲基丙烯酸烯丙酯、环氧乙烷和环氧丙烷的嵌段共聚物的二丙烯酸酯和二甲基丙烯酸酯、与丙烯酸或甲基丙烯酸双重或多重酯化的多元醇,例如丙三醇或季戊四醇、三烯丙胺、二烷基二烯丙基卤化铵,例如二甲基二烯丙基氯化铵和二乙基二烯丙基氯化铵、四烯丙基乙二胺、二乙烯基苯、邻苯二甲酸二烯丙酯、具有106至4000分子量的聚乙二醇的聚乙二醇二乙烯醚、三羟甲基丙烷二烯丙醚、丁二醇二乙烯醚、季戊四醇三烯丙醚、1摩尔乙二醇缩水甘油醚或聚乙二醇缩水甘油醚与2摩尔的季戊四醇三烯丙醚或烯丙醇的反应产物和/或丁二烯亚乙基脲。优选使用水溶性交联剂,例如N,N’-亚甲双丙烯酰胺、由2至400摩尔环氧乙烷与1摩尔二醇或多元醇的加合物衍生的聚乙二醇二丙烯酸酯和聚乙二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯、2至400摩尔环氧乙烷与1摩尔二醇或多元醇加合物的乙烯醚、乙二醇二丙烯酸酯、乙二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯、或由6至20摩尔环氧乙烷与1摩尔丙三醇的加合物的三丙烯酸酯和三甲基丙烯酸酯、季戊四醇三烯丙醚和/或二乙烯基脲。
进一步适宜的交联剂包括包含至少一种可聚合的烯属不饱和基团和至少一个另外官能团的化合物。这些交联剂的官能团必须能够与单体的官能团、特别是酸性基团反应。适宜的官能团的实例为羟基、氨基、环氧基和氮丙啶基。例如,所使用的材料可以是上述的单烯属不饱和羧酸的羟烷基酯,如2-丙烯酸羟乙酯、丙烯酸羟丙酯、丙烯酸羟丁酯、甲基丙烯酸羟乙酯、甲基丙烯酸羟丙酯、和甲基丙烯酸羟丁酯、溴化烯丙基哌啶、N-乙烯基咪唑,例如N-乙烯基咪唑、1-乙烯基-2-甲基咪唑、和N-乙烯基咪唑啉,例如1-乙烯基咪唑啉、1-乙烯基-2-甲基咪唑啉、1-乙烯基-2-乙基咪唑啉或1-乙烯基-2-丙基咪唑啉,例如可以以它们的游离碱形式、季胺化的形式或盐在聚合反应中应用。其它适宜的材料为丙烯酸二烷基氨基乙酯、甲基丙烯酸二甲基氨基乙酯、丙烯酸二乙基氨基乙酯和甲基丙烯酸二乙基氨基乙酯。所述脂优选以季胺化或盐的形式使用。此外,也可以使用(甲基)丙烯酸缩水甘油酯。
适宜的交联剂化合物进一步包括那些包含至少两个官能团的材料,所述官能团能够与单体的实质上为酸性基团的官能团反应。上文中已描述了适用于此目的的官能团,例如羟基、氨基、环氧基、异氰酸酯、酯、胺基和氮丙啶基。这种交联剂的实例为乙二醇、二甘醇、三甘醇、四甘醇、聚乙二醇、甘油、聚甘油、三乙醇胺、丙二醇、聚丙二醇、环氧乙烷和环氧丙烷的嵌段共聚物、乙醇胺、脱水山梨糖醇脂肪酸酯、乙氧基化脱水山梨糖醇脂肪酸酯、三羟甲基丙烷、季戊四醇、1,3-丁二醇、1,4-丁二醇、聚乙烯醇、山梨糖醇、淀粉、多缩水甘油醚,例如乙二醇二缩水甘油醚、聚乙二醇二缩水甘油醚、丙三醇二缩水甘油醚、丙三醇多缩水甘油醚、二丙三醇多缩水甘油醚、聚丙三醇多缩水甘油醚、山梨糖醇多缩水甘油醚、季戊四醇多缩水甘油醚、丙二醇缩水甘油醚、聚丙二醇缩水甘油醚、聚氮丙啶化合物,例如2,2-二羟甲基丁醇三[3-(1-氮丙啶基)丙酸酯]、1,6-亚己基二亚乙基脲、二苯甲烷二-4,4’-N-N’-二亚乙基脲、卤环氧化合物,例如表氯醇和α-表氟醇、聚异氰酸酯,例如2,4-甲代亚苯基二异氰酸酯和1,6-己二异氰酸酯、碳酸亚烃酯,例如1,3-二氧戊环-2-酮和4-甲基-1,3-二氧戊环-2-酮,也可以是二噁唑啉和噁唑烷酮、聚酰胺型胺类及其与表氯醇的反应产物、聚季胺,例如二甲基胺与表氯醇的反应产物、氯化二烯丙基二甲铵的均聚物和共聚物以及(甲基)丙烯酸二甲胺基乙酯的均聚物和共聚物,适当时例如被氯甲烷季胺化。
进一步适宜的交联剂为能够形成离子交联剂的多价金属离子。这种交联剂的实例为镁、钙、钡、铝、铬、钛和锌离子。这些离子以例如氢氧化物、碳酸盐或碳酸氢盐的形式使用。进一步适宜的交联剂为能够形成离子交联剂的多官能碱,其实例为多胺或其季胺化的盐。多胺的实例为乙二胺、二乙撑三胺、三乙撑四胺、四乙撑五胺、五乙撑六胺和聚乙烯亚胺,以及具有摩尔量最多为4,000,000的聚胺。
在可聚合的和/或可交联的低粘度前体材料中,交联剂通常是以0.001至20重量%、优选0.01至5重量%的量存在。
按图案涂覆到基底上以获得粘合层的低粘度前体材料的光聚合反应和/或辐射交联可以在适当引发剂存在的情况下进行。能够使用的引发剂包括所有在暴露于UV光或电子束下分解为自由基的化合物。它们可包括例如公知的α裂解剂、夺氢反应体系以及叠氮化合物。这种引发剂的实例为二苯酮衍生物例如米蚩酮、菲衍生物、芴衍生物、蒽醌衍生物、噻吨酮衍生物、香豆素衍生物、苯偶姻醚及其衍生物、例如上述自由基引发剂的偶氮化合物、取代的六芳基二咪唑或酰基膦氧化物。叠氮化合物的实例为2-(N,N-二甲基氨基)乙基4-叠氮月桂酸酯、2-(N,N-二甲基氨基)乙基4-叠氮萘酮、2-(N,N-二甲基氨基)乙基4-叠氮苯甲酸酯、5-叠氮-1-萘基2-(二甲基氨基)乙基砜、N-(4-磺酰基叠氮苯基)马来酰亚胺、N-乙酰基-4-磺酰基叠氮苯胺、4-磺酰基叠氮苯胺、4-叠氮苯胺、4-叠氮苯甲酰甲基溴、p-叠氮苯甲酸、2,6-二(p-叠氮苯亚甲基)环己酮和2,6-二(p-叠氮苯亚甲基)-4-甲基环己酮。通常以基于要聚合的单体重量的0.001至5重量%的量使用光引发剂。
一般地,适宜的UV交联剂为暴露于UV光下引发交联反应的所有分子。进一步的实例为乙烯醚、乙烯基己内酰胺、和例如LaromerTMPTA、LaromerBDDA、LaromerHDDA、LaromerTPGDA、LaromerDPGDA、LaromerUR8837和LaromerTBCH的Laromer级的产品。
可聚合和/或可交联的低粘度前体材料通常进一步包括一种或多种增塑剂。适宜的增塑剂为水、醇、多元醇例如丙三醇或山梨糖醇、乙二醇和乙二醇醚例如聚亚烷基二醇的单醚或二醚、聚亚烷基二醇的单酯或二酯、乙醇酸酯、甘油酯和脱水山梨醇酯、酒石酸或柠檬酸酯、衍生自咪唑啉、内酰胺、酰胺、聚酰胺、季铵化合物的两性表面活性剂、聚乙烯亚胺与表氯醇的缩合产物、邻苯二甲酸盐、己二酸盐、硬脂酸盐、棕榈酸盐、癸二酸盐以及肉豆蔻酸盐、以及例如植物油或矿物油的天然或合成的油。
优选的增塑剂为多元醇、聚乙二醇、甘油山梨糖醇、多糖、聚乙烯醇、水及其混合物。
增塑剂通常以基于辐射交联的低粘度前体材料中出现的所有化合物总量的5至75重量%的量而存在。
低粘度前体材料可进一步包括水状凝胶,例如淀粉、改性淀粉如糊精、纤维素酯如羧甲基纤维素、植物胶如刺梧桐树胶、明胶、瓜尔胶、阿拉伯树胶、槐豆胶或羧基聚亚甲基。
低粘度可聚合和/或可交联的前体材料通常具有50至10000mPas、优选50至1000mPas的粘度。
将可聚合和/或可交联的低粘度前体材料涂覆于其上的适宜的基底为PU泡沫、无纺材料例如聚乙烯/聚丙烯无纺物、纸、织物、根据ISO9092/EN 29092的无纺织物、金属箔和塑料薄膜。
通过参考附图,下文将更详细地描述本发明的一个示例性实施方案,在附图中:
图1显示了一个用于将低粘度辐射交联的前体材料以网状形式涂覆于基底上的装置的示意图,和
图2显示了具有狭缝状开口的敷料器的一半。
在图1中所示出的用于将低粘度辐射交联的前体材料以网状形式涂覆于基底上的装置1,基本上由在支架11上、具有第一和第二敷料器14和15的平移装置10组成,所述敷料器沿着平移装置是可移动的,具有给料斗17和供料线16。在所述装置操作过程中,通过供料线16为敷料器14和15的给料斗17供给低粘度可聚合和/或可交联的材料,通过阀(未示出)控制给料。基底2从基底料辊4上退绕,所述料辊可旋转地安装在位于敷料器14和15下方的轴7上,并且分别在第一和第二旋转方向12和13上是可旋转的,基底2因此沿输送方向5移动。具有基底厚度6和基底宽度9的基底2具有顶面1和底面3。敷料器14和15分别将低粘度辐射可交联的前体材料(19)涂覆于基底2的顶面1上。在基底2沿着输送方向5移动的过程中,作为敷料器14和15分别及同时沿着平移装置10移动的结果,所述材料以自由选择的、不连续的或配套的图案8涂覆于基底2上。
图2示出的敷料器具有进料19、分配腔20、供料狭缝21和出口开口22。

Claims (9)
1.一种在基底上制造粘合层不连续图案的方法,包括下述步骤:
(a)在传送方向上连续地或不连续地移动基底,
(b)在涂覆区中,通过至少一个可移动的敷料器的至少一个大体上呈狭缝状的开口,将低粘度的粘合材料的可聚合和/可交联的前体材料两维地涂覆在基底上,利用敷料器相对于基底的移动而制造图案,
(c)在涂覆区域下游,聚合和/或交联所涂覆的前体材料。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中以0.3至5mm的厚度将低粘度前体材料涂覆于基底上。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的方法,其中以3至50mm的宽度将低粘度前体材料涂覆于基底上。
4.根据权利要求1至3任一项所述的方法,其中低粘度前体材料具有50至10,000mPas的粘度。
5.根据权利要求1至4任一项所述的方法,其中所述至少一个敷料器利用在基底平面内自由移动的机械手移动。
6.根据权利要求1至5任一项所述的方法,其中所述至少一个敷料器沿着一个与基底的输送方向成一定角度的平移装置而移动。
7.根据权利要求6所述的方法,其中敷料器垂直于基底的输送方向移动。
8.根据权利要求6或7所述的方法,其中配套图案由两个敷料器产生。
9.根据权利要求1至8任一项所述的方法,其中低粘度前体材料是可光聚合的和/或可辐射交联的。
