相关申请
本申请,根据涉及临时申请的美国法典35 USC§119(e)款,要求2003年11月17提交的题目为“带有离心力操作的释放阀的锁定销”的临时专利申请No.60/520,771的优先权,该申请的内容本文参考引用。
技术领域
本发明涉及可变凸轮定时系统的领域。具体地,本发明涉及一种可变凸轮定时系统,其中离心力操作的阀控制流到锁定销的油。
背景技术
内燃机已经使用各种机构来变化凸轮轴和曲轴之间的角度,以改进内燃机的性能或减少排放物。大部分的可变凸轮轴定时(VCT)机构使用一个内燃机凸轮轴(或多凸轮轴内燃机的多个凸轮轴)上的一个或多个“叶片移相器”。大部分情况下,移相器具有壳体,带有一个或多个固定到凸轮轴端部的叶片,周围设置带有可安装叶片的叶片腔的壳体。可以将叶片固定到壳体上,叶片腔也设置到壳体。壳体的外圆周面形成链轮齿、滑轮、或齿轮,以通过链、带或齿轮接受来自凸轮轴的驱动力,或者来自多凸轮内燃机的另外的凸轮轴的驱动力。
某些内燃机,锁定销不保持在锁定位置,防止转子相对壳体移动,直至内燃机的速度足够大。有时候,内燃机关闭时锁定销未在适当时刻锁定,致使叶片在移相器的空腔内振动,造成损坏。
某些移相器使用利用离心力来相对转子锁定壳体的锁定销,如日本专利JP 2001 227311A所示,题目为“带有离心力操作的释放阀时作用于销的离心力可帮助销快速锁定。在该专利中的锁定销由液压力控制,可在离心力的帮助下作用于锁定销。
发明内容
本发明提出一种内燃机的可变凸轮轴定时系统,包括:壳体,带有接受驱动力的外圆周面;转子,与同轴位于壳体内的凸轮轴连接,能够转动以移动壳体和转子的相对角度位置;锁定销;和离心阀。
锁定销可滑动地位于径向孔,包括主体,其直径可流体密封地安装到所述径向孔中;朝向所述壳体的内端,可卡到所述壳体形成的凹部。锁定销可在所述孔中从锁定位置径向移动到未锁定位置,在锁定位置内端卡到壳体形成的凹槽,锁定转子和壳体的相对角度位置;在非锁定位置内端不与壳体形成的接受孔接合。
离心阀与入口管线流体连通控制流动到所述锁定销的油,所述入口管线直接连接到内燃机的油源。当内燃机速度高时,入口管线的油压足够大,使离心阀打开,从而打开锁定销。当内燃机速度低或关闭内燃机时,所述离心阀闭合,所述锁定销保持在锁定位置,保证移相器位于正确位置,准备下一次内燃机启动。

具体实施方式
在可变凸轮定时(VCT)系统中,凸轮轴上的定时齿轮被称为“移相器”的可变角度连接器代替,其具有连接到凸轮轴的转子,和连接到定时齿轮的壳体(或在定时齿轮上形成),其允许凸轮轴独立于定时齿轮在角度限制内转动,以改变凸轮轴和曲轴的相对定时。本文所用的术语“移相器”包括壳体和转子,以及控制壳体和转子的相对角度位置的所有部件,允许凸轮轴的定时从曲轴偏置。在多凸轮轴的内燃机中,应当知道每个凸轮轴应有一个移相器,如从现有技术已知道的。
参考图1到4,移相器的工作流体,用作说明而采用内燃机润滑油的形式,通过共用的入口管线110引入到移相器,管线连接到主油沟(MOG)16。入口管线110通过凸轮轴26的轴承28进入移相器。入口管线110可供应油到线轴(spool)(未显示)和锁定销130。
锁定销130位于转子20的径向孔160。锁定销130具有主体140,其直径可流体密封地安装到孔160中。弹簧120偏压径向孔160中的锁定销130,与壳体18接合。排气孔180位于锁定销的一端。锁定销可位于转子或壳体,或容纳于其他部件。沿入口管线110在锁定销130之前设有离心阀150。
如图1和3所示,离心阀150包括圆筒和弹簧,当移相器的速度提高时,通过圆筒的提高的惯性力推动弹簧170工作。当速度提高(即高速时),离心阀150打开允许油流入锁定销130,释放锁定销。通过使用离心阀150,锁定销130和移相器可保持在锁定位置,直到内燃机的速度足够高。
如图2和4所示,在低速和内燃机关闭时,离心阀150闭合,由于缺少足够的油压,油堵塞不能流动到锁定销130。由于要求油流到锁定销之前有足够的油压来打开离心阀,当内燃机已经关闭和存在少量油压的情况下,锁定销保持关闭。设置离心阀还可使移相器在内燃机完全停止转动之前锁定在正确位置,并保持在这个位置,以备下面的内燃机启动。
离心阀150和锁定销130的使用不限于特定类型的移相器,可用于凸轮扭矩促动(CTA)、扭转促动(TA)、或油压促动(OPA)的移相器。在CTA移相器,可变凸轮定时系统利用打开和关闭内燃机阀的力造成的凸轮轴的扭矩反向来移动叶片。控制阀允许流体从腔室流动到腔室,使叶片移动,或停止油流动,锁定叶片到适当位置。CTA移相器可输入油来补偿由于泄漏造成的损耗,但不能使用内燃机油压来移动移相器。
在OPA和TA移相器中,内燃机油压施加到减速腔或前进腔中叶片的一侧或另一侧,以移动叶片。叶片可由于前进扭矩作用而移动。
因此,应当知道所介绍的本发明的实施例只用来说明本发明的原理的应用。所涉及的说明性实施例的细节不能用来限制所附权利要求的范围,所附权利要求给出了基于本发明基本原理的特征。

Claims (5)

1.一种内燃机的可变凸轮轴定时系统,包括:
壳体,带有接受驱动力的外圆周面;
转子,与同轴位于壳体内的凸轮轴连接,能够转动以移动壳体和转子的相对角度位置;
锁定销,可滑动地位于径向孔,包括主体,其直径可流体密封地安装到所述径向孔中;朝向所述壳体的内端可卡到所述壳体形成的凹部,所述锁定销可在所述孔中从锁定位置径向移动到未锁定位置,在所述锁定位置所述内端卡到壳体形成的凹槽,锁定所述转子和壳体的相对角度位置;在所述非锁定位置所述内端不与所述壳体形成的接受孔接合;和
离心阀,与入口管线流体连通控制流动到所述锁定销的油,所述入口管线直接连接到内燃机的油源。
2.根据权利要求1所述的可变凸轮轴定时系统,其特征在于,所述锁定销还包括位于径向孔的弹簧,相对所述锁定销的内端,沿径向向内朝所述锁定位置推所述锁定销。
3.根据权利要求1所述的可变凸轮轴定时系统,其特征在于,所述离心阀还包括弹簧和圆筒。
4.根据权利要求1所述的可变凸轮轴定时系统,其特征在于,所述离心阀当内燃机速度高时打开。
5.根据权利要求1所述的可变凸轮轴定时系统,其特征在于,所述离心阀当内燃机速度低或关闭内燃机时闭合。
