本发明涉及用于制造具有聚合物材料的基体的软管及管子的增强织物,所述增强织物包括一批基本平行的沿织物纵向方向排列布置的增强丝和许多使增强丝相连接的,横向的和/或斜向丝。增强的织物是牢固的织物以便通过用增强的织物包裹预成型坯直接贴到软管或管子的预成型坯的聚合物基体上。增强织物适合于通过基本上比增强丝轻的横向和/或斜向丝,并且通过增强织物的至少一个增粘的表面粘结到软管或管子的预成型坯的聚合物基体上而直接贴到预成型坯的聚合物基体上。
Description
本发明涉及诸如用于气压和液压用途的柔性软管这样的聚合物和橡胶产品的增强。但是,可以理解本发明也可应用到由聚合物材料制成的相对刚性的管子的增强。本发明特别涉及使用特殊织物来增强软管或管子。
已知用所谓的“轮胎帘线”来增强诸如车辆轮胎和液压软管这样的橡胶制品。轮胎帘线一般包括许多平行的织物粗线(cord)或“纱线(ends)”这些粗线或纱线在压延成型的过程中嵌入橡胶片内以便产生增强产品,该产品于是就适于应用到轮胎或软管预成型坯。粗线嵌入到橡胶片内是必须的以将粗线置于稳定和坚固的形态并便于后续的操作。
压延成型过程本身是相对劳动密集型和能量密集型的工作,同时一般会导致粗线与橡胶薄片的浪费。特别是,在每次压延成型生产过程的任一端及边缘通常存在材料的损失。因而,这就非常希望提供一种新的、替代的增强产品和方法,该方法不需要传统的压延成型操作。本发明的目标恰恰就是提供这样一种产品和方法。
根据一个方面本发明提供一种在制造具有聚合物材料基体的软管和管子中使用的增强织物,所述增强织物包括一批沿织物纵向方向排列布置的基本平行的增强丝和许多使增强丝互连的横向和/或斜向丝。增强织物是稳定的织物以便通过用增强织物包裹预成型坯而直接贴到软管或管子的预成型坯的聚合物基体上。增强织物适合于通过基本上比增强丝轻的横向和/或斜向丝,并且通过使增强织物的至少一个表面增粘以便粘结到软管或管子预成型坯(pre-form)的聚合物基体上而直接贴到预成型坯的聚合物基体上。在此处使用的术语“粘结(adhesion)”并不意味在预成型坯的聚合物基体和增强织物之间达到特别强的粘合(bond),使用术语“粘结”是用来表示为使增强织物在后续制造工序中保持在软管或管子的预成型坯上的适当位置上而需要的一定程度的粘贴性。
除了增强织物的至少一个表面增粘(tackifying)外可对纵向增强丝或整个增强织物施加化学涂层(chemical finish)以确保软管或管子完全制造以后增强丝结实地粘到软管或管子的聚合物基体上,化学涂层可在增粘工序之前或与其同时实施。
本发明的增强丝典型地在织物中排列布置成经线,而互连丝则典型地排列布置成横向纬线和/或与经线成一角度延伸的斜向丝。增强丝典型地是比较重的粗线,而互连丝基本上比较轻,并可能与普通的单线一样轻,在本发明的语境中,“较轻”意味着横向和/或斜向丝比纵向增强丝的重量小很多。这就典型地导致横向和/或斜向丝具有比增强丝低许多的拉伸强度。
增强丝或粗线可以是各种天然的和合成的丝或单丝中的任一种,最好是由尼龙、聚酯、聚乙烯、聚丙烯、芳族聚酰胺聚乙酸乙烯酯、人造丝、棉、碳、金属或玻璃中的任何一种或多种构成,纬线和/或斜向丝不是关键的,同时在实际上任何能牢固地将增强粗线保持在织物中的一种都能满足要求。此外,与传统轮胎帘线相反,在本发明的织物中的增强丝最好是低捻丝,这些丝提供较低的弹性继而在加压软管的应用中表现出较小的伸长。
增强织物可只在一个表面增粘,但是最好在二表面上增粘。例如,整个织物可以用增粘的物质浸渍。在本文中,如在本领域中已知的,增粘的表面就是通过小的压力就会粘贴到另一表面上的表面。在本发明的一个特殊的最佳形式中增强织物的丝通过涂敷涂层来增粘,该涂层增大了整个织物的牢固稳定性和/或促进织物在软管或管子预成型坯形成/制造时粘结到软管或管子预成型坯的聚合物基质上。涂层物质本身最好是与软管的聚合物相同或相容的液体。织物的涂敷操作可以通过浸沾或喷涂整个织物来实施。或者,增强丝本身在它们结合到增强织物中之前被单独地处理或涂覆。
增强织物可以根据各种已知的织物构造来构成,包括机织的(woven)、针织的(knitted)、捻搓无纬的(laid)、编织的(braided)、缝编的(stitched)、缝制的(sewed)和非织造的(non-woven)构造。在本发明的一个最佳实施例中织物具有机织或针织纬丝/线。织物可能还包括引纬。在另一个特别优选的实施例中,增强织物具有捻搓无纬的构造,使用集合地处理的丝以便它们在织物中粘在一起。丝的这种处理也可以是涂层操作。最好是,对捻搓的丝的涂层既用于使捻搓的丝粘结成为相对坚实的无纬织物构造还用于给与织物粘性,也就是对软管预成型坯的聚合物基体的适当的粘结性以便它直接地贴到其上。
本发明的增强织物,由于其新颖的结构,本身是固有的稳定的,并且因此允许将织物剖切成带状。因而,本发明的增强织物最好以剖切成的织物条或带的卷的形式被提供,增强丝或粗线在带的纵向延伸。在使用中,本发明的织物带在基本上圆周的方向直接缠绕在软管预成型坯的聚合物的基体上。但是,织物带可能以对圆周方向成一小角度来缠绕以便带子以一种螺旋的方式横跨软管或管子的一段长度。增粘有助于在剖切增强织物之后保持织物带子的整体性。
根据另一方面本发明提供一种生产要直接缠绕到软管或管子预成型坯上的稳固的增强织物的方法,该方法包括以下步骤:
—基本上并排地排列布置许多增强丝作为织物的经线,
—排列布置许多基本上比增强丝轻的纬线和/或斜向丝以便用所述许多纬线和/或斜向丝将所述许多增强丝互连,以及
—增粘增强织物的至少一个表面,以便增强织物粘贴到软管或管子的预成型坯的聚合物基体上。
根据另一方面,本发明提供一种增强由聚合物材料制成的软管或管子的方法,包括以下步骤:
—提供一种如上所述的根据本发明的增强织物的细长带子;
—提供包括所述聚合物材料的基体的所述软管或管子的预成型坯;以及
—通过沿基本上圆周的方向把细长的织物带子缠绕在预成型坯周围而将增强织物直接贴到预成型坯的聚合物基体上。
增强织物带子的宽度通常取决于要把织物贴于其上的预成型坯的直径。例如,带子的宽度(W)最好处于0.50πd和0.90πd的范围内,但最好根据下式来计算:
W=0.705πd式中W=带子的宽度,以及
d=增强的直径。
根据另一方面,本发明还提供根据上述方法构成的软管或管子。
为了更好理解本发明,此后以举例的方式描述一最佳实施例。可参照前面的说明来了解此例子,但是它的目的绝不是用于限制前面的说明的概括性。
在本发明的一个例举的实施例中提供的织物用于增强一种在液压线路中使用的柔性橡胶软管,即要承受很大的内压力的柔性软管,增强织物基本上沿一个方向定向排列—长度或经线方向,而提供第二或纬线方向仅是为了以规则的方式将主要方向线保持在一起。因而,织物包括基本上平行并在织物经线方向相对密集的排列布置的纺织增强丝或粗线(例如尼龙)。许多纬丝与经线方向的增强粗线织在一起以构成织物。但是,第二组丝(纬丝)是比经线方向的粗线较轻的数量级排列并且可以更显著稀疏地排列。
织物适合于直接贴到软管的橡胶基质上。这样,为增加织物的自身的独立稳定性及当构造软管或管子时促使它粘结到橡胶材料上,织物被增粘。为达到增粘,织物可以涂覆一种液体物质,例如通过浸渍或喷涂。涂覆的材料与软管的橡胶材料相容。织物剖切成长的带子,使增强经线粗线在带子的纵向延伸。
在制造软管时,挤压出第一软管预成型坯,然后增强织物的带子直接贴到预成型坯的橡胶基体上。织物带子在基本上圆周的方向上直接缠绕到预成型坯的周围,但最好成一小角度,以便缠绕的增强织物逐渐地横贯软管的长度。织物带子的宽度最好根据下式计算:W=0.705πd,式中W是带子的宽度,而d是增强的直径。然后一般地挤压另外的橡胶材料覆在缠绕的增强织物上面。
本发明的一个最显著的好处是能消除过去必须的将轮胎帘线嵌入橡胶薄片的压延成型操作。因而,能直接贴到软管聚合物基体上的预剖切的增强织物可以直接供应给软管制造商。此外,本发明可以提供比过去更稳固更规则的产品,该产品满足软管制造商的要求。
应该理解可以对前述织物的特殊排列布置与构造进行各种改变和/或添加而不偏离在权利要求中所确定的本发明的精神与范围。
Claims (17)
1.一种用于制造具有聚合物材料基体的增强软管或增强管子的增强织物,所述增强织物包括一批沿织物纵向排列布置的基本上平行的增强丝以及许多使增强丝互连的横向的和/或斜向的丝,所述增强织物是一种稳固的织物以便通过在预成型坯周围缠绕使增强织物直接贴到软管或管子的预成型坯的聚合物基体上,其中增强织物通过以下途径适合于直接贴到预成型坯的聚合物基体上,
—横向和/或斜向丝基本上比增强丝要轻,以及
—增强织物的至少一个表面被增粘以便粘贴到软管或管子的预成型坯的聚合物基体上。
2.如权利要求1所述的增强织物,其中横向和/或斜向丝的拉伸强度远小于增强丝的拉伸强度。
3.如权利要求1或权利要求2所述的增强织物,其中粘度旨在使增强丝和横向和/或斜向丝整合成为稳固的织物。
4.如权利要求1至3的任意一个所述的增强织物,其中借助于丝的涂覆提供粘度。
5.如权利要求1至4的任意一个所述的增强织物,其中织物是长带子的形状,同时其中增强丝沿带子的纵向延伸。
6.如权利要求5所述的增强织物,其中织物带子是绕在卷筒或卷轴上提供。
7.如前述权利要求中任意一个所述的增强织物,其中增强丝由以丝的形式或单丝状的尼龙、聚酯、聚乙烯、聚丙烯、人造丝、芳族聚酰胺、聚乙酸乙烯酯、碳、玻璃或金属,或其它材料中的任一种或多种组成。
8.如前述权利要求中任意一个所述的增强织物,其中织物具有针织的、机织的、非织造的、捻搓无纬的、编织的、缝编的、缝制的构造。
9.一种生产要被直接缠绕到软管或管子预成型坯的聚合物基体周围的稳固的增强织物的方法,该方法包括以下步骤:
—基本上并排地排列布置许多增强丝作为织物的经线,
—排列布置许多远比增强丝轻的纬线和/或斜向丝以便用所述许多纬线和/或斜向丝将所述许多增强丝互连,以及
—增粘增强织物的至少一个表面以便增强织物粘贴到软管或管子的预成型坯的聚合物基体上。
10.如权利要求9所述的一种方法,其中增粘步骤涉及在织物形成之前、之后或过程中涂覆增强丝和/或纬线和/或斜向丝。
11.如权利要求9或10所述的一种方法,其中增粘步骤涉及用一种液体形式的物质喷涂所述丝或者在所述物质的浴液中浸渍所述丝这两者中之一或兼有这两者。
12.如权利要求9至11中的任意一个所述的一种方法,其中在增粘以前该丝已经被互连,例如通过针织、缝编、缝合或机织。
13.如权利要求9至11中的任意一个所述的一种方法,其中使丝增粘的步骤还起到使它们在无纬的织物构造中粘结在一起的作用。
14.如权利要求9至13中的任意一个所述的一种方法,进一步包括以下步骤:
—剖切织物成长条的带子使得所述增强丝或粗线沿所述带子的纵向延伸,以及
—将所述带子缠绕在卷筒或卷轴上。
15.如权利要求14所述的一种方法,其中带子具有在0.50πd至0.9πd范围内的宽度,最好是0.705πd,式中d是软管或管子的增强直径。
16.增强由聚合物材料制成的软管或管子的方法,包括以下步骤:
—提供根据权利要求1至8中的任意一个的增强织物的长形带子;
—形成由所述聚合物材料的基质组成的所述软管或管子的预成型坯;以及
—通过沿基本上圆周方向围绕预成型坯缠绕织物带将增强织物直接贴到软管或管子预成型坯的聚合物基体上。
17.一种具有聚合物材料的基体的增强的软管和管子,所述软管或管子是根据权利要求16所述的方法形成的。
