Abstract

Description
发明领域
本发明涉及纸板。另外,本发明涉及具有高质量印刷表面的包装级纸板。更进一步,本发明涉及具有高质量印刷表面的高刚性包装级纸板。还有,本发明涉及制造所述包装级纸板的工艺。
发明背景
挂面纸板是一种用于生产瓦楞纸板容器或箱盒的纸板。它与内部的瓦楞介质(波纹的内片)结合,用在内面和外面(衬面)以形成组合的瓦楞纸板的刚性结构。这些材料制造(“转化”)成瓦楞纸箱用于装运各种消费品。瓦楞纸容器的作用已经超出了用于装运产品的保护性包装。如今的零售商可把它们摆在商店里,以高质量的图画用于卖点展示。取代简单地容纳产品用于运输,瓦楞纸箱已经成为产品“外观”的整体组成部分,含有色彩、较小的波纹和涂层,以形成有风格的包装,从而改进其适销性和货架吸引力。图1和表1示出瓦楞纸包装市场中不同波纹的评估。作为一类包装,本发明旨在取代现有产品,图表中所示具有较小波纹的产品(E、F和N)可以代表最新的当前技术。
传统上,箱盒用苯胺印刷工艺在瓦楞纸板上印刷有一种或者两种颜色,但是由于凹凸不平的、波纹的表面,质量受限。由于使用瓦楞纸板容器作卖点展示的趋势,日益希望改进画面。常用麻口白或者漂白的挂面纸板改进苯胺印刷的外观。在20世纪70年代,开发了预印工艺。如美国专利5,882,746和6,099,674所披露的那样,这种工艺近年来有所改进,其中把挂面纸板进行印刷后再层压在瓦楞纸板上。这提供了较高分辨率的印刷,尤其是对于彩色印刷。还使用白土涂层以在未漂白的挂面纸板上提供较好的画面。另一种选择是采用预印的白土涂层的书报纸张,然后用胶将其层压在棕色的纸板上。尽管各种得到较佳画面的选择都提供了某些长处,但是它们还是有显著的缺点,这些缺点综述于下:
(A)中小波纹的包装:
·由于安装时间长,仅对大容量批次才有效率;
·一般地不能在一处(under one roof)完成,这增加成本和周转时间;
·可视的波纹线条降低了视觉吸引力;
·由于印刷过程造成的生产效率低,因为:
—不均匀性;
—较高的压缩性—波纹被压坏;
—翘曲问题—导致较高的废品率;
—较低的产生速度—每小时4000至5000片;
(B)白土涂层
·即使在白土涂层后,涂覆过的纸板的粗糙表面还不能提供良好的印刷表面;
·对于棕色的衬底需要大量的白土以免盖不住底色。
(C)预印后再层压
·加工中浪费较大;
·生产效率差并且短期运营成本高;
·一般不能在一处完成。
现有的纸板衬底的上述生产和印刷问题表明明显地需要一种可以克服所述这些生产和印刷低效率,而且成为对整个供应环节有吸引力的包装的纸板复合材料,所述的供应环节包括纸板生产厂商、成品加工者/印刷工厂,及最终用户。有高质量印刷表面的包装级的纸板一般地没有0.813毫米(0.032英寸)以上的纸厚度(刚性)。而且,这类重型包装的许多最终应用(洗涤剂、某些食品、吸湿化学制品)通常还需要箱内有具有某种功能的诸如外包套或袋子的软包装材料。
发明内容
本发明提供的纸板复合材料具有从大约0.66毫米至1.12毫米(0.026至0.44英寸)的厚度,具有相应的刚性和抗压强度,满足了现有产品所缺乏的要求。本发明的产品用一种工艺制造,其中把较薄的漂白(白)纸粘到较厚的未漂白的纸产品表面上。最表面的纸层可以是各种材料之一,包括但是不限于:细纸及漂白纸板;同时底层可以是各种材料之一,包括但是不限于未漂白的折叠硬纸板。
对应于表1,图1示出在先技术包装中使用的瓦楞纸板(E,F、和N)的截面,各自由挂面纸板层的外部层接合内部波纹层构成。箱盒成型后,外层之一成为瓦楞纸板的内面,而另一个外层成为瓦楞纸板的外面。发明详述
本发明的产品是通过把较薄的漂白的(白的),没有印刷的纸产品粘接到较厚的未漂白的纸产品的表面制造的。最表面的纸层可以是各种材料之一,包括但是不限于:细纸及漂白纸板;同时底层的纸层可以是各种材料之一,包括但是不限于未漂白的折叠硬纸板。表面层制成双面都有涂层。可以使用的非穷举的涂层包括乳胶白土混合物、聚乙烯醇(PVOH)、聚氯代乙烯(PVDC)和丙烯聚合物。表层的纸厚可以在0.051毫米至0.305毫米左右(0.002至0.012英寸)的范围。底层制造成一种式样,其中其密度可以在3.63公斤到4.08公斤/278.7平方米/0.245毫米(8.0至9.01磅/3000平方英尺/纸厚品托)的范围,而其纸厚可以在0.635毫米至0.813毫米左右(0.025至0.032英寸)的范围。
复合制造过程是通过向其中的纸层施加连续的胶膜并经胶膜把它结合(粘接)到另一纸层上而完成的。胶膜可以施加在最表面的纸层上,并且通过两个圆柱辊之间的辊隙的作用把这两个纸层结合起来。一个或者多个这样的圆柱辊可以覆盖上弹性罩(优选的)或者它们也可以是硬金属(例如钢)表面。结合好的纸板产品可以切成所希望尺寸的片,或者卷在纸板芯上待以后制盒用。可以使用的层压胶合剂的非穷举的例子包括:聚乙酸乙烯酯(PVA)、PVOH、PVDC、SBR乳胶、丙烯酸乳液、硅酸钠、食用淀粉,而挤压聚合物膜包括低密度聚乙烯(LDPE)、高密度聚乙烯(HDPE)、聚氯代乙烯(PVDC)、尼龙及聚丙烯。
本发明的复合纸板提供了超过目前可得到的类似申请的纸板的显著长处。这些长处列举如下:
·印刷和模切的速度较高;
·可以方便地在一处操作;
·废品较少;
·性能象固体纤维板;
·安装时间不长从而既适用于小容量也适用于大容量产品;
·没有波纹线;
·对于用现有的瓦楞纸板非常困难的压花、压箔、UV涂层表现良好;
·可单片和整卷供应;
·没有翘曲问题;
·在冷冻/深冻应用中性能良好;
·能够使本发明的纸板有特定的软包装特性;
·能够使本发明的纸板具有挤压涂层诸如聚乙烯、聚酯、尼龙、PMP及其它特定树脂;
本发明的纸板可以用作各类市场部门的包装,诸如,但是不限于:家用电器、酒及其它饮料、食品、硬件、体育用品、保健用品、医疗器械、药品等等。
以下例子说明本文所述之本发明的长处。举例
以下各例比较各种包装材料的某些特性。
表2的数据表示出本发明的纸板和当前可得到的基于瓦楞纸的衬底的相对R值(热转移)。注意到同样纸厚的本发明的纸板有比同样纸厚的现有纸板较高(即较好)的R值。
表3示出本发明的纸板(样例B、C和D)的抗压强度与市售包装材料(样例A)的抗压强度的比较。
表3的数据示出比现有纸板薄的本发明纸板叠层可以得到基本相当或提高了的抗压强度。
本发明的纸板的其它例子如表4所示。特别地,表4示出与现有的包装纸板的进一步比较。
表4的数据示出本发明的纸板叠层达到可接受的4点弯曲刚性和提高的Z向拉伸强度以及在纸厚显著减少时的抗压(块和片)强度。

Claims (12)
1.一种制造含有一个最表面纸板层、一种胶材、以及一个纸板底层的复合纸板的方法,含有步骤:
(a)施加连续的胶膜以覆盖选自最表面纸板层和纸板底层的纸板层表面;及
(b)把最表面层与底层粘接,其中把所述的各层对齐,使连续的胶膜处在每个所述层的表面之间。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的最表面纸板层薄于纸板底层,并且在步骤(a)中连续的胶膜施加在所述的最表面纸板层上。
3.如权利要求2所述的方法,其特征在于,最表面纸板层选自细纸和漂白纸板,而纸板底层是未漂白的折叠硬纸板。
4.如权利要求3所述的方法,其特征在于,所述的胶材选自:聚乙酸乙烯酯(PVA)、PVOH、PVDC、SBR乳胶、丙烯酸乳液、硅酸钠、食用淀粉而挤压聚合物膜包括低密度聚乙烯(LDPE)、高密度聚乙烯(HDPE)、聚氯代乙烯(PVDC)、尼龙及聚丙烯。
5.一种如权利要求1所述方法生产的产品。
6.一种由权利要求5所述产品制成的箱盒。
7.一种多层纸板,含有一个较薄的最表面纸板层、一种胶材、和一个较厚的纸板底层,其特征在于,胶材位于较薄的最表面纸板层和较厚的纸板底层之间并且与最表面纸板层和较厚的纸板底层两者都接触。
8.一种由权利要求7所述多层纸板制成的箱盒。
9.如权利要求2所述的方法,其特征在于,较薄的最表面纸板层是不印刷的。
10.如权利要求9所述的方法,其特征在于,较薄的最表面纸板层特点是厚度为0.0508毫米到0.305毫米。
11.如权利要求2所述的方法,其特征在于,纸板底层是不印刷的。
12.如权利要求11所述的方法,其特征在于,纸板底层特点是厚度为0.635毫米到0.813毫米。
