Abstract

折痕装置
技术领域
本发明涉及一种用来在折叠纸张或卡片前对其进行折痕的折痕装置。
背景技术
很大一部分的诸如书的封面或贺卡之类的印刷物在进行下一步折叠操作前需要被折痕。
现有的折痕方法包括将待折痕的纸张送至一上滚筒和一对下滚筒之间。一金属圆片固定于上滚筒并围绕上滚筒的圆周向外径向凸出一小段距离。两下滚筒彼此共轴地安装并彼此隔开一小段距离以在其间产生一狭隙。从上滚筒凸出的金属圆片容纳于两下滚筒之间的狭缝中。当上滚筒和下滚筒彼此向相反方向旋转,且纸张被送至两者之间时,凸出的金属圆片将纸张推入狭隙中,使其变形而产生所希望的折痕。
该方法的缺点是:将金属圆片安装到上滚筒的过程很慢。两下滚筒间的适当间距的获得以及使狭隙正确地对齐于金属圆片对操作的成功是至关重要的,而且这又是一技术性的操作。另外,金属圆片会损坏纸张,特别是使其在边缘处撕裂。
极少部分的印刷机有内部设备以应付折痕操作。例如,大多数中等尺寸的印刷机一般会将这项作业交由专门的最终印刷设备完成。即使如此,这项作业的更高程度是随即在切纸机上将印刷品切成一定尺寸、而后再次使其通过一折叠机(通常是对大多数印刷机而言)。由于这些操作的实施已被计入该项工作中,因此,这种耗时的系统一般会推迟对客户的交货时间并会增加成本。
发明概要
本发明是一包括一滚筒形雄性构件的折叠装置,该雄性构件的特征是具有多个不同宽度和深度的凹槽以容纳O形橡胶环或插入件。除了其上的凹槽略宽和略深于雄性构件上的凹槽外,雌性构件基本上类似于雄性构件。当通过一在雄性构件上的、对齐于雌性构件上的凹槽的O形环或插入件将纸张固定于部件的顶轴和底轴时,被送至其间的纸张籍由将纸张推入凹槽内的O形环或插入件的压力而折痕。
按照本发明,可省去在背景技术中所描述的各专门处理过程。普遍使用的折叠器的第一部件可适于安装雄性构件和雌性构件以执行折痕程序。由于在雄性构件上设有不同的O形环或插入件和/或不同的凹槽,该装置可迅速、方便地在不同厚度的纸张上形成不同宽度和深度的折痕。雌性构件中的诸凹槽可自动地对齐于雄性构件中相应的O形环或插入件。
O形橡胶环或插入件能更轻柔地处理纸张,且与先前技术中的金属圆片相比,O形橡胶环或插入件不大会引起撕裂。可选择硬化橡胶或类似的弹性材料以防止磨损。一旦磨损后,可迅速、方便地调换O形环。

图1示出了其上装有所有O形环并与雌性构件对齐的雄性构件。
图2示出其上未装有任何O形环的雄性构件。
图1示出了与雌性构件4对齐的雄性构件2。各构件都具有沿其轴线(未示出)的、用于安装在轴上的圆柱孔。构件通过螺钉6固定在轴上。如图2所示,雄性构件10的表面具有绕其圆周分布的凹槽。如图所示,包括:一对宽凹槽8a、8b(如1.5mm),一对中等宽度凹槽10a、10b(如1mm)以及一对狭凹槽12a、12b(如0.5mm)。各对凹槽中的一凹槽(8a、10a、12a)的凹槽深度比另一凹槽(8b、10b、12b)更浅。
雌性构件具有与雄性构件上的那些凹槽对齐的一组凹槽。因此其上包括:一对宽凹槽14a、14b,一对中等宽度凹槽10a、10b以及一对狭凹槽12a、12b。在雌性构件上的各凹槽比雄性构件上的相应凹槽宽且深。在雌性构件上的诸凹槽可具有相同的深度。
图1示出一雄性构件,其所有O形环均同时保持在位。在实践中,每次只使用一个O形环。未用到的O形环可存放于通道20内。如图所示的雌性构件也带有通道20。但此通道20并非用于存放O形环,可以将其省去,或者将其保留以构成一用来使雄性构件和雌性构件对齐的表面22。
在所例示的装置中,存在三个O形环24、26、18,其宽度各自对应于雄性构件上的三对凹槽8、10、12的宽度。各凹槽的深度形成为:当一O形环置于其中时,该O形环凸出于雄性构件的表面之上。当O形环置于各对中较浅的凹槽中时,O形环更加凸出于(构件)表面。由于诸凹槽必须相当浅以使O形环凸出于表面之上,圆形横截面的O形环可能不适于最窄的凹槽。这时可改用一形状类似于垫圈的、更扁平的弹性插入件。
在操作中,折痕的理想宽度可通过选择适当的O形环并将其置于雄性构件上的各对相应凹槽中的一凹槽中而确定。可将诸凹槽和诸O形环进行色彩编码使它们彼此匹配。折痕的理想深度可通过选择各对凹槽中较深或较浅的一凹槽来确定。
将雄性构件和雌性构件安装于各自的轴上,如果需要,可通过表面20使之彼此对齐。雄性构件和雌性构件要比图1所示地还要彼此靠近,以使在雄性构件2上的O形环容纳于雌性构件4的凹槽内。
当然,所提供的诸O形环和诸凹槽的宽度值可以是不同的,同样,对应于各宽度,诸O形环和诸凹槽的各深度值也可以是不同的。

Claims (7)

1.一纸张折痕装置,包括:
一第一滚筒(2),绕其外表面圆周设有具第一宽度和第一深度的第一凹槽(8b);
一第二滚筒(4),绕其外表面圆周设有一宽度大于第一宽度的接收槽(14b);以及
一第一弹性环(24),定位于所述第一滚筒(2)的第一凹槽(8b)中、并从所述第一滚筒(2)的外表面沿径向向外凸出第一高度;
如此,当所述第一滚筒和第二滚筒(2、4)轴线相互平行地彼此靠近设置时,从所述第一滚筒(2)凸出的所述第一弹性环(24)可置于所述第二滚筒(4)的所述接收槽(14b)内,以在进给至所述第一和第二滚筒之间的纸张上形成折痕。
2.如权利要求1所述装置,其特征在于,所述第一滚筒(2)还包括一具有小于第一深度的第二深度的浅凹槽(8a),由此当设置于所述浅凹槽(8a)中时,所述第一弹性环(24)从所述第一滚筒(2)的表面凸出一大于第一高度的第二高度。
3.如权利要求1或2所述装置,其特征在于,所述第一滚筒(2)还包括一具有小于第一宽度的第二宽度的狭凹槽(12b),所述装置还包括一比第一弹性环更窄的第二弹性环(28),所述第二弹性环(28)位于所述第一滚筒(2)的狭凹槽(12b)中、并从所述第一滚筒(2)的外表面沿径向向外凸出。
4.如权利要求3所述装置,其特征在于,还包括一形成于第一滚筒(2)外圆周表面上的通道(20),所述通道(20)用来存放未置于凹槽(8、10、12)中的弹性环(24、26、28)。
5.如权利要求2至4中任一项所述装置,其特征在于,对应于所述第一滚筒(2)中的各凹槽(8、10、12),在所述第二滚筒(4)相应轴向位置上设有宽度较大的一接收槽(14、16、18)。
6.如权利要求2至4中任一项所述装置,其特征在于,所述第二滚筒(4)还包括用来沿轴向将所述第二滚筒(4)相对于所述第一滚筒(2)定位的装置。
7.如前述权利要求中任一项所述装置,其特征在于,所述弹性环(24、26、28)的径向横截面的尺寸大于其轴向尺寸。
