Description

本发明涉及到一种避免逐位复制数字数据的方法，该数据由一种介质上的第一信息源产生。它还涉及到一个用于实现这种方法的装置。
数字数据显示出能够复制而不用考虑质量损失的特性。的确，复制在于传送一系列的二进制信息，即从信息源到记录器装置传送的一些“1”和“0”。在复制期间通常发生的错误通过使用熟知的错误修正方法是容易修正的。因此，当一个信息介质或者一种数据源包含数字数据时，同样地记录它们在一个可记录的介质上是相对简单的。
要保护数字数据不被非法复制，各种各样的方法可以使用。
通常，供应商提供该数字数据介质，比如装有软件的磁盘，同时有一个防止任何复制的标记。
另外一种保护数字数据复制的方法在于赋予它们一个水印或者“纹身”，就是说用辅助的数据来约束该数字数据。该水印必须是不可修正和不可删除的。在这种情况下，该数据的读取是在一个识别该水印的密钥帮助下进行的。加有水印数字数据的任何复制，都应该需要一个密钥在复制时将水印恢复到合适的地方，没有该复制就是非法的，实际上是缺乏水印。复制没有水印的数字数据不再由阅读器读取，因为后者不知道在哪识别水印。因此，该水印预先排除没有密钥的任何复制。
这些已知保护复制的方法，在介质由相应的读取或记录器处理时一般是有效的。然而，这些方法不能避免一个盗版者的复制，他创建一个副本或者类似的尽可能对原文通过实现术语逐位拷贝来复制。
本发明的目的是建议一种复制的方法，该复制能够避免未经授权复制由一个介质上第一个信源产生的数字数据，这种方法可以预防逐位复制数字信息。
本发明的目的也提供一种包含允许实现所述方法的电路读取装置。
因此，本发明的主题是一种避免逐位数字数据复制的方法，该数据产生于一个介质的数字数据信号源，其特点在于这个介质包含一个用于格式化该数字数据的序列号，该数字数据是在将他们记录到所述介质之前产生于所述数字数据信号源。
根据一个优选实施例，该序列号是以一种不可伪造的方式在它的制造期间记录在该介质上。为了避免任何盗版者，这序列号对每个介质是一个唯一的编号或者显示出两个介质是相同编号的较低概率。

-利用序列号的帮助读取该数字数据的格式，以及
-将格式化的数字数据记录在所述介质上。
根据一个优选实施例，该格式化的步骤是在读取装置中实现。此外，所述读取装置还包括能够读取包含格式化数字数据的介质的装置。
按照本发明方法的其它特性，在实现该数字数据的复制之前，这种方法包括一个检验复制授权的步骤。
本发明还涉及到一种读取装置，它包含一个允许实现上面描述的所述复制方法的格式化电路。
本发明的其他特性和优点在阅读优选实施例并参考附图的描述后将变得显而易见。
图1是一个读取装置和一个记录设备装置的方框图，该装置允许将第一个介质的数据复制到第二个介质上。
本发明将参考读取记录在数字介质上(如代表数字通用盘片的DVD)数字数据的同时来描述，并且复制到同样地包括由一个DVD构成的第二空白介质，在这种情况下它必须是可记录的，即一个DVD-R。然而，对那些技术上熟知的人们可以使用其他数字信息源这是明显的，特别是由译码器产生的和由“广播电台”发射的数字信息，或者储存在介质上的数字信息，比如一个磁带，一个可记录的或者非-可记录的光盘，即一个CD，一个CD-R,CD-RW,DVD,DVD-R，一个磁-光盘等等。该记录介质由一个可记录的磁带，一个CD-R，一个CD-RW，一个DVD-R或者一个允许以数字的形式存储音频与/或视频信息的磁-光盘构成。
正如图1所描绘，根据本发明的复制方法能够利用配备格式化电路3的读取装置2复制记录在DVD 1上的数字信息，而且可以复制的数据FD被记录在一个插入到记录设备装置5的DVD-R4上。
根据本发明，DVD-R4由一个空白的DVD-R组成，它包含一个在该DVD-R制造期间以不可伪造的方式记录的一个序列号。以唯一的或者显示出在两个不同的介质上呈现非常低概率的这样一种方式选择的这个序列号，被储存在盘片的一个隐蔽区域，如该区域命名为“引导-区域”，即轨道-引入。正如以下更详细的描述，这个序列号经常用于格式化从原文DVD 1读取的数字数据。
根据本发明权利要求所述的这种方法，由读取装置2读取的DVD 1上的数据被发送给一个格式化电路3，它利用在空白的DVD-R读取的序列号实现数据的格式化。因此，以一种特殊方式格式化的数据FD在读取装置的输出获得，并且被发送到他们被记录在DVD-R4的记录设备装置5。

二进制字NS和PS的长度不是固定的，因为对于输入的字SHA-1不需要一个精确的长度。函数f适应任何长度的序列号。
因此合法的复制DVD-4可以由读取装置2来读取，并且利用相应的解密算法恢复原始的数字数据。
还可以利用一个公共-关键码算法如RSA算法来实现要被复制的数字数据的格式化。这个公共的-关键码算法是一种对称的算法，当公共密钥已知时，在由读取装置2读取期间，该算法可以容易地阻止格式化的数据复制。
因为位于复制DVD-R上的数据与原始DVD上的数据没有相同结构，所以不能够利用除了相应的读取装置以外的读取装置来恢复他们。此外，如果原始DVD的逐点复制已经完成，则本发明的读取装置不能重现原始的数字信息并且将不能读取该复制。

Claims (10)

1．一种避免逐位数字数据复制的方法，该数据产生于一个介质的数字数据源，其特征在于这个介质包含一个用于格式化该数字数据的序列号，该数字数据是在将他们记录到所述介质之前产生于所述数字数据信号源。
2．根据权利要求1所述的方法，其特征在于该序列号是以一种不可伪造的方式在它的制造期间记录在该介质上。
3．根据权利要求1或2所述的方法，其特征在于该序列号对每个介质是一个唯一的编号或者显示出两个介质是相同编号的较低概率。
4．根据权利要求1到3之一所述的方法，其特征在于要复制数字数据的格式化是利用一种密钥算法比如数据加密标准(DES)或者一种公共-密钥算法比如RSA来实现的。
5．根据权利要求4所述的方法，其特征在于该加密的密钥取决于所述序列号。
6．一种避免逐位地复制数字数据的复制方法，该数据通过一个读取装置读取并且将其复制在介质上，其特征在于该介质包含一个序列号以及该复制的方法包含下列步骤：
-将记录在介质上的序列号发送给读取装置，
-利用序列号的帮助读取该数字数据的格式，以及
-将格式化的数字数据记录在所述介质上。
7．根据权利要求6所述的方法，其特征在于该格式化的步骤是在读取装置中实现。
8．根据权利要求6或7所述的方法，其特征在于所述读取装置包括能够读取介质的装置，该介质包含格式化的数字数据。
9．根据权利要求4到6之一所述的方法，其特征在于在实现该数字数据的复制之前，它包括一个检验复制授权的步骤。
