技术领域
本发明涉及1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷和1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷的共沸组合物和类共沸组合物。本发明的组合物不仅可以用作制备1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷的中间体,还可以用作冷冻剂、发泡剂和溶剂。
背景技术
近年来,完全卤代的含氯氟烃(CFC’s)也许对地球的臭氧层有害已经引起了广泛的关注。因此,全球范围内都在努力使用含有较少或不含氯取代基的氟取代碳氢化合物。在这一点上,1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷(HFC-245fa),具有零臭氧消耗势的含氢氟烃,正被考虑替代含氯氟烃例如冷冻系统中的二氯二氟甲烷和用作发泡剂的三氯氟代甲烷。HFC们,也就是仅包含碳、氢和氟的化合物,的制备已经成为提供环保产品的人们感兴趣的主题,这些环保产品可用作溶剂、发泡剂、冷冻剂、清洁剂、烟雾推进剂、传热介质、电介质、灭火化合物和动力循环工作液体。本领域众所周知可以通过氟化氢与不同的氢含氯烃(hydrochlorocarbon)反应制备氟碳化合物例如HFC们。
HFC-245fa是本领域众所周知的,并可以根据美国专利5,574,192中描述的工艺来制备,这里该专利整体作为参考文献引入。
现已发现基本上纯的HFC-245fa的制备中,重要中间体是1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷和1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷(HCFC-235fa)的共沸混合物或类共沸混合物。这种中间体,一旦形成后,即使其组分具有相近的沸点,可以通过萃取技术或变压蒸馏来分离它的组分。HFC-245fa和HCFC-235fa在745.8mmHg下分别具有15.1℃和27.57℃的沸点。另外,HCFC-235fa可以转化成更高氟化的氢氟烃例如可以通过传统的方式与HFC-245fa分离的1,1,1,3,3,3-六氟丙烷(HFC-236fa)。
发明概述
在一个实施方案中,本发明提供了包含有效量的1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷和1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷的共沸组合物或类共沸组合物。“有效量”是指与其他组分结合时引起共沸组合物或类共沸组合物形成的每种组分的量。
已经发现一种基本上由1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷和1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷组成的共沸组合物在0-413.4kPa(计示压力)(0-60psig)压力下具有14.95±0.15℃的沸点。在0kPa(计示压力)(0psig)压力下共沸组合物包含650ppm的1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷。在68.9kPa(计示压力)(10psig)压力下共沸组合物包含23ppm的1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷。
本发明的类共沸组合物基本上由超过0-50重量%的1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷和50-小于100重量%的1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷组分。在一个优选的实施方案中,本发明提供了一种共沸组合物或类共沸组合物,基本上由95%-小于100重量%的1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷和大于0-5重量%的1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷组成。在一个更优选的实施方案中,本发明提供了基本上由1重量%的1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷和99%的1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷组成的共沸组合物或类共沸组合物。本发明的类共沸组合物在746mmHg的压力下具有14.95±0.15℃的沸点。
在另一个实施方案中,本发明提供了从1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷和1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷的共沸或类共沸混合物中分离1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷的方法。该方法包括由或基本上由下列步骤构成的工艺:
(A)在第一压力下蒸馏包括由或基本上由1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷和1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷的至少一种共沸混合物组成的混合物,从而产生出富含1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷或1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷的第一顶流和富含其他组分的第一底流;和
(B)在第二压力下重蒸馏第一顶流以产生富含第一底流组分的第二顶流和富含第一顶流组分的第二底流。
在一个优选的实施方案中,第一蒸馏压力为68.9-137.8kPa(绝对压力)(10-20psia),第二蒸馏压力为137.8-1378kPa(绝对压力)(20psia-200psia)。
在另一个优选的实施方案中,第一蒸馏压力为96.46-137.8kPa(绝对压力)(14-20psia),第二蒸馏压力为137.8-689kPa(绝对压力)(20psia-100psia)。
发明详述
在一个制备HFC-245fa的方法中,前体试剂用氟化氢氟化。这种前体的反应产品包括HFC-245fa、未反应的HF和其他副产品。除去副产品,形成HFC-245fa和HCFC-235fa的二元共沸或类共沸组合物。而后这种二元共沸或类共沸组合物可分离成其组元。HFC-245fa和HCFC-235fa的共沸或类共沸组合物也可循环用作氟化反应剂。因此,例如,在制备HFC-245fa的过程中,可以回收部分HFC-245fa作为HFC-245fa和HCFC-235fa的共沸或类共沸组合物并再循环该组合物到反应器中。
HFC-245fa形成类共沸物并且和HCFC-235fa形成类共沸物混合物。液体的热力学状态通过其压力、温度、液体组分和蒸汽组分来确定。对于真正的类共沸组合物,其液体组分和蒸汽相在给定的温度和压力范围下是基本等同的。实际上这意味着在相变过程中这些组分不能被分离。根据本发明的目的,类共沸组合物是指就其恒定的沸点特性和在沸腾或蒸发条件下不分馏的趋向来讲具有与真正的共沸物同样特性的组合物。在沸腾和蒸发过程中,如果有改变的话,液体组分仅仅轻微地改变。这同非共沸组合物形成对比,非共沸组合物的液体和蒸汽组成在蒸发或冷凝过程中显著改变。一种确定候选混合物在本发明的意义范围内是否是类共沸物的方法是,在预期的将混合物分离成为分离组分的条件下蒸馏该候选混合物的样品。如果该混合物是非共沸物或非类共沸物,则混合物会分馏,也就是最低沸点的组分首先分离出来,并据此类推其不同的组分都得到分离。如果该混合物是类共沸物,会获得有限量的第一馏分,该馏分包含所有的混合物组分,并具有恒定的沸点或性能像单一物质一样。类共沸组合物的另一个特点是具有一个包含不同比例的相同的类共沸物组分的组分范围。所有这样的组分包括在这里所用的术语类共沸物的范围内。例如,众所周知,在不同的压力下,给定的共沸物组分像该组分的沸点一样,至少会有细微的不同。因此两种组分的共沸物代表了一种独特类型的关系,而随温度和/或压力的不同组分有变化。本领域众所周知,共沸物的沸点随压力不同而不同。
这里所使用的共沸物,是一种相对于周围的混合物组分的沸点来说,显示出最高或最低沸点的液体混合物。共沸物或类共沸组合物是两种或多种不同组分的混合物,在给定压力下这些组分的液体形态将在基本上恒定的高于或低于组分沸点温度的温度下沸腾,并在沸腾过程中会产生与液体组分基本上相同的蒸汽组分。根据本发明的目的,类共沸组合物是指包括性质像共沸物一样的组合物,也就是具有恒定沸点特性或在沸腾或蒸发条件下趋于不分馏的趋势。这样在沸腾或蒸发过程中形成的蒸汽组分与原始的液体组分相同或基本上相同。因此,在沸腾或蒸发过程中,液体组分如果有改变的话,仅仅改变到最小限度或可以忽略的程度。这同非类共沸组合物在沸腾或蒸发过程中液体组分显著改变形成对比。因此,共沸物或类共沸组合物的主要特点是,在给定的压力下,液体组分的沸点是固定的,并且沸腾组分上的蒸汽的组成基本上是沸腾液体组分的组成,也就是基本上没有发生液体组分的组分分馏。当共沸物或类共沸液体组合物在不同的压力下沸腾时,类共沸组合物的每种组分的沸点和重量百分比也许会改变。因此,共沸物或类共沸组合物,可以根据存在于其组分之间的关系、或根据组分的组成范围、或根据以特定压力下具有固定沸点为特征的组合物的每种组分的准确重量百分比加以定义。
本发明提供了一种包含有效量的HFC-245fa和HCFC-235fa以形成共沸物或类共沸组合物的组合物。有效量是指同其他组分结合的每种组分的量引起共沸物或类共沸混合物的形成。本发明的组合物优选为基本上仅由HFC-245fa与HCFC-235fa组成的二元共沸物。
下列对本发明不构成限制的实施例用以举例说明本发明。
实施例1:制备HFC-245fa
向50加仑的反应器中加入181.6kg(400磅)五氯化锑催化剂。反应器温度升至95℃。以11.35kg(25磅)/小时的HCC-240fa、6.81kg(15磅)/小时的HF和0.908kg(2磅)/小时的氯的条件向反应器内连续投料。使用氯以保持催化剂活性。反应器的压力保持在1378kPa(计示压力)(200psig)。蒸汽物流包含HFC-245fa、1-氯1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷(HCFC-235fa)、HF、HCl和有机副产品如1,3,3,3-四氟丙烯、1-氯-3,3,3-三氟丙烯,和1-氯-3,3,3-四氟丙烯。
实施例2:HFC-245fa和HCFC-235fa的共沸显示
使用自动比较沸点测定计可以看到在HFC-245fa和HCFC-235fa之间存在共沸物。这一结论通过观察当高沸点化合物(纯CFC-235fa,在745.8mmHg下沸点为27.57℃;22℃)加入到装有HFC-245fa(在同样压力下于14.95℃沸腾)的罐中时,罐内温度从平衡温度下降(0.01-0.15℃)并决不恢复这一现象而得出。添加高沸点化合物时沸点下降证明形成了共沸物。这也决定了共沸组合物中HCFC-235的量非常小(0-700ppm)。
实施例3:HFC-245fa/HCFC-235fa混合物的分离
向40级蒸馏釜中加入500克的包含99wt.%HFC-245fa和1wt.%HCFC-235fa的混合物样品。在全回流条件下以不同的压力对样品进行蒸馏。结果列于表I中。

Claims (8)

1、一种共沸组合物或类共沸组合物,基本上由95%-小于100重量%的1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷和大于0-5重量%的1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷组成。
2、如权利要求1的共沸组合物或类共沸组合物,其中组合物的沸点在0-413.4kPa(计示压力)压力下为14.95±0.15℃。
3、如权利要求2的共沸组合物或类共沸组合物,基本上由1重量%的1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷和99重量%的1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷组成。
4、如权利要求2的共沸组合物,其中1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷的含量在0kPa(计示压力)下为650ppm。
5、如权利要求2的共沸组合物,其中1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷的含量在68.9kPa(计示压力)下为23ppm。
6、从1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷和1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷的共沸混合物或类共沸混合物中分离1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷的方法,该方法包括由或基本上由下列步骤组成的工艺:
(A)在第一压力下蒸馏包括由或基本上由1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷和1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷的至少一种共沸混合物组成的混合物,从而产生出富含1,1,1,3,3-五氟丙烷或1-氯-1,1,3,3,3-五氟丙烷的第一顶流和富含其他组分的第一底流;和
(B)在第二压力下重蒸馏第一顶流以产生富含第一底流组分的第二顶流,和富含第一顶流组分的第二底流。
7、如权利要求6的方法,其中第一蒸馏压力为68.9-137.8kPa(绝对压力),第二蒸馏压力为137.8-1378kPa(绝对压力)。
8、如权利要求6的方法,其中第一蒸馏压力为96.46-137.8kPa(绝对压力),第二蒸馏压力为137.8-689kPa(绝对压力)。
