发明领域
本发明涉及含金属芯化合物,特别是多核钼芯化合物的润滑油组合物和浓缩物。
背景技术
某些油溶的或可分散于油内的金属芯化合物,即具有结合在一个或多个配体上的金属芯化合物,已知作为添加剂(或添加剂组分)用于润滑油组合物(或润滑剂)以增进组合物的特性和性能。配体或多个配体使化合物具有油溶性。例如,已提出并试验将某些含油溶性钼和硫的化合物用作润滑剂添加剂。US-A-2,951,040;-3,419,589;-3,840,463;-4,966,719;-4,995,966;和-4,978,464的专利说明书中就描述了含钼和硫的化合物。
本领域描述的用作润滑剂添加剂的钼化合物主要是两核钼化合物,代表性的是氧化态的Mo(V)。参见,例如US-A-5,627,146。另外,EP-A-0 960 178,基于国际专利申请号PCT IB97/01656,描述了使用三核钼化合物作为润滑剂添加剂,即特征为不同氧化态(Mo(IV))。
这些两核钼化合物可以用结构式Mo2OxSyL2,表示,以及这些三核钼化合物可以用结构式Mo3SkL4表示,其中x+y=4,k最小为4,以及L代表单阴离子配体用于将油溶性或油分散性转给化合物,典型实例包括二硫代氨基甲酸盐,常称作“dtc”。
上述列举的化合物中Mo:配体(L)的摩尔比分别为1∶1和3∶4,即Mo的摩尔数绝对不超过L配体的摩尔数。由于Mo是化合物的活性部分,相对配体L增加它的比例是理想的,以降低制备化合物的原料成本。尽管这样进行是有利的但本领域没有任何这种方案的记载。
本发明解决了上述问题并提供了带有多核Mo芯的油溶或油分散化合物,其Mo含量超过提供它溶性或分散性的配体含量。
发明内容
第一方面,本发明涉及润滑油组合物,其包含或通过混合以下成分制得:主要量的润滑粘性油和少量的作为添加剂的至少一种包括多核如二或三核钼芯化合物并与可提供化合物油溶或油分散性的一个或多个单阴离子配体结合,其中芯中的钼原子数量与所述的配体数量比大于1∶1,例如3∶2或更高。根据组合物质量,以Mo原子表示,化合物可提供至少1,例如1-2000,如5-1000,优选20-1000ppm质量的Mo。
优选,钼芯,作为包含不只一个Mo原子的Mo簇芯是两核或三核的。它可含有全部或部分硫组成的非金属原子。它优选由三核钼和硫组成。配体或配位体,例如可以是二齿配位体,例如通过两个硫原子与核连接。
本发明第一方面的润滑油组合物具有优良的抗磨损,抗氧化,以及减磨特性;另外它可与配制商品润滑油组合物的其它添加剂混溶并可通过易于获得的原料制备。
第二方面,本发明涉及用于与润滑粘性油混合的添加剂浓缩物,其包含,或通过混合以下成分制备:含油载体和基于浓缩物的质量,以Mo原子表示1-200,000,例如50-150,000,如50-100,000ppm质量的Mo的本发明第一方面限定的添加剂。
第三方面,本发明涉及内燃机的润滑方法,包括操作内燃机并用本发明第一方面的润滑油组合物润滑机器。
第四方面,本发明涉及本发明第一方面描述的添加剂用于增强润滑油组合物的一种或多种润滑油特性的用途。
第五方面,本发明涉及润滑油组合物或添加剂浓缩物的制备方法,包括将第一方面描述的添加剂与润滑粘性油或含油载体混合。
发明的具体实施方式
说明书中:
“包含”或任何同义词用于表示存在规定的特性,整数,步骤或组分,但不排除存在或添加一种或多种其它特性,整数,步骤,组分或基团;
“主要量”是指超过组合物的50%质量;
“少量”是指小于组合物的50%质量,既可相对于规定的添加剂也可相对于组合物中存在的所有添加剂的总质量%,将其看作添加剂或添加剂混合物中的活性成分。
本发明还提供了组合物或浓缩物中的各种添加组分之间任意反应,以及在常规和适宜的制备,储存或使用条件下所获得或可获得的产物。
此处使用的“油溶的”或“可分散的”并不一定表示所有比例的化合物或添加剂都可溶、可溶解、可混溶,或可悬浮于油中。然而,这意味着例如它们可充分地溶于或稳定地分散于油中以在应用油的环境中产生预期的效果。而且,如需要还可以加入其它添加剂以使某种添加剂达到更高水平。
润滑剂细合物的油
这种润滑油可选自植物,动物,矿物或合成油。润滑油的粘度变化从轻馏分矿物油至厚粘度润滑油如气机润滑油,矿物润滑油,马达油(motor vehicleoil),以及重型柴油。润滑油可以是未精炼的,精炼的,和再精炼的。润滑油可以是使用过的油。
配体,包括配体L,各自独立地选自以下基团:

重要的是,配体的有机基团具有足够数量的碳原子以使化合物可溶于或分散于油中。化合物在油中的溶解性或分散性受配体中的碳原子数量的影响。配体原料优选具有足够数量的碳原子以使化合物可溶于或可分散于油中的配体。本发明化合物中,化合物配体的所有有机基团中的碳原子的总数通常至少为21,例如21-800,例如至少为25,至少是30或至少是35。例如,每个烷基中的碳原子数一般在1-100之间变化,优选1-40和更优选3-20。优选配体包括二硫代磷酸二烷基酯(“ddp”),黄原酸酯,硫代黄原酸酯,磷酸二烷基酯,二硫代氨基甲酸二烷基酯(“dtc”),以及更优选羧酸酯和这些dtc。
术语“烃基”表示含有直接连于配体残基部分的碳原子的取代基并且主要是具有本发明范围内特性的烃基。这些取代基包括:(1)烃类取代基,即脂族(例如烷基或链烯基),脂环族(例如环烷基或环链烯基)取代基,芳族-,脂族-和脂环族-取代的芳族取代基,以及环状取代基,其中环通过配体的另一部分形成(也就是说,任两个所述取代基可一起形成脂环族基团);(2)取代的烃类取代基,即含有非烃基的取代基,就本发明来说,它们不改变取代基的起主要作用的烃类性质。本领域技术人员熟知这样的基团(例如,卤素(特别是氯和氟),氨基,烷氧基,巯基,烷基巯基,硝基,亚肖基,磺酰氧基(sulfoxy),等);(3)杂原子取代基,即这样的取代基,具有本发明要求的起主要作用的烃类特性的同时,除在碳原子组成的链或环上的碳原子外还含有其它原子。

目的化合物可通过在极性介质中根据目的化合物的量将化学计量比的反应体含多核钼芯如三核钼芯的钼化合物与配体L如二硫代氨基甲酸酯反应而制备,其中反应体钼化合物或配体都不是衍生的。
极性介质可以是,例如包括液体链烷醇如甲醇,四氢呋喃,二甲基甲酰胺,甲苯或水;反应体钼化合物可以是,例如含[Mo3S13]2-离子;以及L可以是,例如二烃基,优选二烷基,取代的二硫代氨基甲酸酯。适当地,上述反应在升温条件下进行。
上述“化学计量比”并不表示或要求根据写出的代表反应的化学方程式计算的精确的化学计量,而是尽可能接近这些方程式的化学计量以确保产品(摩尔:摩尔)中Mo比配体L多。
举例来说,作为目的化合物Mo3S7(dtc)2(S2)的合成可根据下述反应式用化学计量的dtc进行:
组合物和浓缩物
本发明的润滑油组合物可以通过在润滑粘性油中加入有效的少量的至少一种化合物以及如必要一种或多种如下文描述的共添加剂的混合物而制备。该制备方法可通过将化合物直接加入油中或首先将化合物在适合的载体液中混合获得油溶性或分散性,并将混合物加入润滑油中。可通过本领域技术人员已知的任意方法,在加入化合物之前,同时,或之后将共添加剂加入油中。
如需要,将化合物和共添加剂的浓缩物在适合的含油的,特别是烃类,载液中提供一种使用前的简便处理方法。润滑粘性油,如上述油类以及脂族,环烷,和芳族烃类是浓缩物的适合的载体实例。根据浓缩物的重量,这些浓缩物可含有1-90质量%的添加剂;优选1-50,更优选20-70质量%。
通过将含有上述类型和数量的至少一种化合物的润滑粘性油与任选的共添加剂混合(或掺入)制备的润滑油组合物,通过向曲轴箱中加入润滑油可用于润滑机器部件,特别是内燃机如火花式点火或压缩式点火内燃机。
共添加剂
其它润滑添加剂也可加入本发明组合物中。这些添加剂包括分散剂,洗涤剂,例如单一或混合的金属洗涤系统,倾点下降剂,粘度改进剂,抗氧化剂,表面活性剂,抗磨损剂,以及减磨剂。本领域已知可按比例混合这些添加剂。例如,可制备含磷和/或硫化合物的添加剂如二烷基二硫代磷酸锌(ZDDP)并与本发明化合物一起使用。然而,当用于没有或基本上没有添加的磷和/或硫的润滑油组合物时,即磷和/或硫加入(即除此之外)本身已含有任意磷或硫的化合物中,本发明化合物是有效的或甚至具有改进特性。基本上不含磷和/或硫的润滑油组合物是一种润滑油组合物其中磷和/或硫的数量不超过具有润滑粘度的基油中所固有的数量。
特别值得注意的是与化合物一起使用抗氧化剂。
适合的抗氧化剂的实例选自含铜抗氧化剂,含硫抗氧化剂,含芳族胺抗氧化剂和酚类抗氧化剂。
适合的含铜抗氧化剂的实例包括在EP-B-24 146,EP-A-280 579和EP-A-280 580中描述的油溶性铜化合物。因此,例如铜可以油溶性的合成或天然羧酸铜盐形式掺入油中。来自适合的铜盐的羧酸实例包括C2-C18羧酸(例如乙酸,和脂肪酸如硬脂酸和棕榈酸),不饱和酸(例如油酸),支链羧酸(例如分子量为200-500的环烷酸,新癸酸和2一乙基己酸),以及烷基-或链烯基取代的二羧酸(例如聚烯烃取代的琥珀酸如十八烯琥珀酸,十二碳烯琥珀酸和聚异丁烯琥珀酸)。某些情况下,可由酸酐获得适合的化合物,例如取代的琥珀酸酐。铜抗氧化剂可以是,例如二硫代氨基甲酸铜或二硫代磷酸铜。其它含铜和硫的抗氧化剂化合物,例如硫醇铜,黄原酸盐和硫代黄原酸盐,根据本发明磺酸铜,酚盐(可选择硫化的)以及乙酰丙酮化物也是适用的。其它可用于本发明的铜化合物是高碱性铜化合物。这些化合物的实例,以及它们的制备方法描述于US-A-4,664,822和EP-A-0 425 367中。铜化合物可以是亚铜或二价铜的形式。
适合的含芳族胺抗氧化剂实例是其中至少一个芳基直接连于至少一个胺氮原子上的芳族胺。优选仲芳族胺,特别是那些两个芳基连于同一个胺氮原子的芳族胺,但并不排除使用其它芳族胺。这类胺可含有一个或多个芳基,例如至少两个芳基。当存在两个芳基时,优选两个都直接连于同一个胺氮原子上。可以使用这种化合物,即其中两个芳基通过共价键或通过原子或基团(例如氧或硫原子,或-CO-,-SO2-或亚烷基)连接的化合物。芳族环,优选芳烃环,它可以是未取代的或被一个或多个选自烷基、环烷基、烷氧基、芳氧基、酰基、酰基氨基、羟基和硝基的取代基取代。优选含烷基取代的芳烃环的胺,特别是那些含两个烷基取代的苯基的胺。优选用于本发明的N-芳基胺是萘胺以及特别是二苯胺,包括烷基取代的二苯胺,其中烷基可以相同或不同,具有1-28个碳原子。其它含氮抗氧化剂,例如吩噻嗪类型化合物也可用于本发明。
酚类抗氧化剂的实例包括(a)空间位阻叔烷基化的一羟基酚,例如详细描述于US-A-2,944,086;-3,043,775;和-3,211,652中的酚;以及(b)亚甲桥叔烷基多酚,例如4,4’-亚甲基双(2,6-二叔丁基酚)和2,2’-亚甲基双(4,6-二-(1,1,2-三甲基丙基)酚),以及(a)和(b)的混合物如详细描述于EP-B-0456925中的那些酚。
含硫抗氧化剂(化合物)的实例是具有优选C5-C12烷基侧链的烷基酚硫代酸酯的碱土金属盐,壬基酚硫化钙,无灰油溶性酚盐和硫化酚盐,二氧磷基硫化或硫化烃,磷酯和其它含硫含钼化合物。其它含硫抗氧化剂实例是二烃基二硫代磷酸酯或二烃基二硫代氨基甲酸酯化合物的金属盐,其中金属选自Zn,Mn,Ni,Al,1族和2族金属。其它含硫化合物包括公开于EP-A-699 759中的那些化合物,例如油,脂肪或聚烯烃的硫化物,其中具有两个或多个硫原子的硫基团互相联接并一起连于分子结构中。实例包括硫化的鲸蜡油,硫化的蒎烯油,硫化的豆油,硫化的聚烯烃,硫化的酯类,二烷基二硫化物,二烷基聚硫化物,二苄基二硫化物,二叔丁基二硫化物,聚烯烃聚硫化物,噻二唑类型化合物如双烷基聚硫化物噻二唑,以及硫化酚。
优选的抗氧化剂是含铜抗氧化剂,含芳族胺化合物包括二苯胺及其与二苯胺效果差不多的衍生物),以及它们的混合物。含铜抗氧化剂实例包括聚异丁烯琥珀酸酐铜(“铜PIBSA”)和油酸铜,以及二苯胺包括所有有效的二苯胺衍生物。
因此,本发明的润滑油组合物可包括少量的至少一种抗氧化剂和至少一种油溶性或油分散性化合物。该组合物可包括各种化合物的混合物以及这里公开的各种类型的抗氧化剂,润滑油和/或此处公开的其它添加剂,和/或由混合物产生的任何中间体和反应产物。在混合物中,以较少的有效量存在的抗氧化剂和化合物用于提高油的润滑性能,特别是减磨,减磨保留,抗氧化性能和/或抗磨损特性。
实施例
参考以下实施例对本发明进行更详细地说明。
实施例1,制备Mo3S7(辛基2dtc)2(S2)
在氮气氛条件下将甲醇(50mL),二辛基胺(0.66mL,2.2mmol)和二硫化碳(0.13mL,2.2mmol)在250mL的圆底烧瓶中混合并搅拌2小时。加入(NH4)2Mo3S13(750mg,1mmol)并加热混合物回流过夜。通过加热除去混合物中的红色固体并从红色固体中倾析甲醇。用甲醇洗该固体,干燥,溶解于甲苯并过滤。通过真空蒸馏除去甲苯获得暗红色的透明固体产物,其元素分析相应于Mo3S7(辛基2dtc)2(S2)。
实施例2制备Mo3S7(椰油基2dtc)2(S2):
在氮气氛下将甲醇(50mL),二可可胺(1.00g,2.2mmol)和二硫化碳(0.13mL,2.2mmol)在250mL的圆底烧瓶中混合并搅拌2小时。向溶液中加入(NH4)2Mo3S13(750mg,1mmol)。加热混合物回流过夜。加热除去溶液并从红色固体中倾析甲醇。用甲醇洗固体,然后干燥。产物溶解于甲苯并过滤。真空蒸馏除去甲苯获得暗红色的透明固体。
测试
将实施例2产物进行下述的Cameron-Plint试验。
在商品10W30润滑油中加入添加剂以提供500ppm重量的元素Mo。在80℃下加热混合物30分钟同时剧烈搅拌以分散添加剂。然后将未处理的油和含添加剂油进行Cameron-Plint ball-on-plate试验,由此确定摩擦改进情况。试验条件是:
负载 120N
冲程 2.42cm
温度 120℃
频率 8.3Hz
测试长度为30分钟:试验最后测量最终的摩擦系数并根据10-30分钟之间的平均值记录平均摩擦系数。获得的结果如下:

未处理油 0.10 0.11
处理的油 0.04 0.04
因此可见经过处理的实施例2产品减小摩擦一半多。
Claims (14)
1.润滑油组合物,包含或通过混合以下成分制得:以润滑油组合物总重计,50%质量以上的润滑粘性油和50%质量以下的作为添加剂的至少一种含多核钼芯化合物,所述化合物结合了能提供化合物油溶性或油分散性的一个或多个单阴离子配体,其中核中的钼原子数与所述的配体数比大于1∶1,其中所述化合物为下列通式(I)代表的化合物:
MoaEkLnXb (I)
其中E代表O,S或Se,或其结合;
L代表提供化合物油溶性或分散性的单阴离子配体;
X代表结合在核上的阴离子,不同于上述L,赋予化合物电中性;
a是2,3或4;
k至少是4;
n是小于a的整数;以及
b是整数,与n一起使化合物呈电中性。
2.权利要求1的润滑油组合物,其中E代表O或S或其结合,和/或a是2或3。
3.权利要求2的润滑油组合物,其中化合物是下列通式(II)代表的化合物:

其中L同权利要求1定义,k是4或7以及X代表二价阴离子。
5.权利要求4的润滑油组合物,其中所述配体是二硫代磷酸二烷基酯或二硫代氨基甲酸二烷基酯配体。
6.权利要求1的润滑油组合物,其中根据组合物质量计算,化合物中钼质量至少为1ppm。
7.权利要求1的润滑油组合物,其中所有配体中的碳原子总数至少为21。
8.权利要求1的润滑油组合物,其中润滑粘性油不含硫。
9.权利要求1的润滑油组合物,还含有或通过混合以下成分制备:至少一种抗氧化添加剂。
10.权利要求1的润滑油组合物,还含有或通过混合以下成分制备:一种或多种分散剂,洗涤剂,倾点下降剂,粘度改进剂,表面活性剂和抗磨损剂。
11.用于与润滑粘性油混合的添加剂浓缩物,它包括或通过混合以下成分制备:含油载体和基于浓缩物的质量1-200,000ppm重量的权利要求1中的钼添加剂。
12.权利要求11的添加剂浓缩物,还包括或通过混合以下成分制备:至少一种抗氧化添加剂,由此浓缩物中含有以浓缩物质量计1-90质量%的添加剂。
13.内燃机的润滑方法,包括驱动内燃机并用权利要求1的润滑油组合物润滑机器。
14.权利要求1中定义的添加剂作为改进润滑油组合物的一种或多种润滑特性的用途。
