本发明公开了一种在O+E波段具有宽带宽和高增益的光纤及其调控方法,包括纤芯和包层(0),纤芯由外向内包括第一疏松层(1)、第一芯层(2)、第二疏松层(3)、第二芯层(4)和内纤芯(5),第一疏松层(1)、第二疏松层(3)由掺杂高折射率GeO2和P2O5的石英材料构成,第一芯层(2)和第二芯层(4)中按照顺序掺杂Al2O3、氧化铋和PbO;通过调控Al2O3、氧化铋和PbO的掺杂摩尔比调控光纤的增益性能。本共掺石英光纤在1260~1460nm波段内光纤增益均大于15dB,尤其在1420nm处增益可达到20dB以上。光纤结构简单,掺杂浓度均匀可控,可广泛应用于有源光纤放大器、高阶涡旋光放大器、光纤激光器、光纤传感器等领域。

技术领域
本发明涉及一种光纤结构及其性能调控方法。
背景技术
随着大数据、互联网的快速发展,光纤通信系统的容量需求呈爆炸式的增长。此时,光纤放大器性能的提高则对光通信系统的发展有极其重要的意义。由于4f–4f轨道限制,传统的掺铒石英光纤的增益带宽被限制在35nm左右,对光通信系统的发展而言,亟需在其他波段有所突破。
近年来,Bi掺杂光纤在近红外波段表现出宽带荧光特性,引起了广泛的关注与研究。根据核心组成、结构和泵浦波长,铋掺杂光纤放大器可在1000nm-1600nm范围内提供增益。与稀土(RE)离子相比,BACs(铋相关活性中心)中的光学跃迁与铋原子或离子的非屏蔽外电子壳有关。因此,跃迁的波长和能级的结构在很大程度上取决于主玻璃的基体。通过改变主玻璃的组成可以改变Bi掺杂玻璃的发光波长范围和光学放大范围。此外,铅元素在元素周期表中邻近铋元素,两者具有相近的外层电子结构。经过调查和研究,发现铅掺杂玻璃材料与铋有相似的发光特性与激活中心。因此,在铋掺杂石英光纤的基础上,引入铅,进一步探索不同铋相关发光中心的发光效率等问题。利用ALD技术和MCVD技术,研制出O+E波段超宽带、高增益的Bi/P/Ge/Pb共掺石英光纤放大器。
2015年,中国专利201510941655.3提出使用ALD技术将Bi和Er离子或Bi、Er和Al离子交替沉积到光纤纤芯中,制备出一种Bi/Er或Bi/Er/Al共掺石英光纤,该光纤可实现1000~1380nm和1450~1800nm波段的超宽带放大。同年,中国专利201510026738.X,提出了一种管-熔体共拉铋掺杂光纤的制备方法,虽然避免了管棒法因铋离子团聚而导致的光纤荧光淬灭,但制备过程需要严格的温度等条件控制,大大增加了制备难度。2019年,中国专利201980059860.3示出并描述了掺铋光纤和掺铋光纤放大器。但其增益带宽在O波段较窄,仅限于1270~1310nm,且受系统结构影响较大。2020年,中国专利202010073619.0提出基于高温掺杂改进化学气相沉积(MCVD)和ALD或液相掺杂工艺、高温蒸发掺杂工艺、外部气相沉积工艺结合制备Bi/Er/La/Al共掺石英光纤,该光纤在1530~1625nm范围内表现出宽带荧光,在C+L波段的增益为10~35dB。而本专利主要是在铋掺杂石英光纤的基础上,引入铅,进一步探索不同铋相关发光中心的发光效率与宽谱增益特性问题。利用ALD技术和MCVD技术,研制O+E波段的超宽带、高增益Bi/P/Ge/Pb共掺石英光纤及光纤放大器与光纤激光器。
发明内容
发明针对目前掺铒石英光纤增益带宽难于拓展,以及O+E波段光纤增益带宽较窄,制备过程温度要求高,难于制备,且受系统结构影响较大的问题,提供了一种调控有源粒子局域场、改善光纤增益性能的方法。
本发明在现有专利基础上,结合ALD与MCVD制备工艺的特点,利用铅元素与铋元素具有相近的外层电子结构这一特性,并结合目前铅掺杂玻璃材料与铋有相似的发光特性与激活中心这一现象,通过调控Bi、P、Ge、Pb元素的沉积顺序与掺杂含量,精确配比调控掺杂离子与基质材料局域场,实现了1260nm-1460nm的超宽带增益,突破了此前O+E波段带宽的限制。通过调控Bi、Pb元素的共掺,促进BAC-P、PAC-P的形成,增强了1260nm-1360nm范围内的发光效率;此外,通过对Ge元素的掺杂含量的调控,在保证1260nm-1360nm发光效率的同时,实现了1360nm-1460nm范围内增益带宽的拓展。使用ALD技术可以从原子层角度上实现材料掺杂浓度的精准控制,且掺杂均匀性良好、掺杂元素多元。该方法制备的Bi/P/Ge/Pb共掺石英光纤在1260~1460nm波段内光纤增益均大于15dB,尤其在1420nm处最大增益可达到20-40dB。
本发明的技术方案:
一种在O+E波段具有宽带宽和高增益的光纤,包括纤芯和包层0,其特征在于:纤芯由外向内包括第一疏松层1、第一芯层2、第二疏松层3、第二芯层4和内纤芯5,第一疏松层1、第二疏松层3和内纤芯5由掺杂高折射率GeO2和P2O5的石英材料构成,第一芯层2和第二芯层4中按照顺序掺杂Al2O3、氧化铋和PbO。
第一芯层2和第二芯层4中Al2O3与氧化铋的摩尔比为0.5~20、氧化铋与PbO的摩尔比为0.2~30。
光纤的包层0直径为120~130μm,纤芯直径为8~12μm,包层0与纤芯的折射率差为0.005~0.0012。
一种调节光纤在O+E波段带宽及增益的方法,首先在基管内壁沉积掺杂GeO2和P2O5的SiO2材料形成第一疏松层1,在第一疏松层1上依次沉积Al2O3、氧化铋和PbO,然后再次沉积掺杂GeO2和P2O5的SiO2材料形成第二疏松层,在第二疏松层上依次沉积Al2O3、氧化铋和PbO,最后沉积杂GeO2和P2O5的石英材料,缩棒拉丝成光纤。通过调控Al2O3、氧化铋、PbO、P2O3、GeO2的沉积顺序和掺杂比例调控掺杂离子与基质材料结合的局域场分布,进而提高光纤的发光效率与增益强度,拓展增益谱宽,提高光纤的增益性能。
Al2O3与氧化铋的摩尔比为0.5~20、氧化铋与PbO的摩尔比为0.2~30。
使用ALD技术依次沉积Al2O3、氧化铋和PbO时,使用的O源前驱体材料为臭氧或去离子水,Al源前驱体为三甲基铝,Bi源前驱体为三(2,2,6,6-四甲基-3,5-庚二酸)铋【Bi(tmhd)3】,Pb源前驱体为双(2,2,6,6,-四甲基-3,5-庚二酮酸)铅【Pb(tmhd)2】。
Bi源加热温度控制在200~300℃,脉冲时间为200~400ms;Pb源加热温度控制在100~200℃,脉冲时间为200~400ms;O源脉冲时间为200~1000ms;Al源脉冲时间为50~300ms;整个反应腔温度均匀,反应温度为200~400℃,气体流速控制在50~800sccm。
具体步骤为:
1)利用MCVD技术在石英管内壁沉积掺杂用于提高折射率的GeO2、P2O5和SiO2疏松层,并控制温度将其半玻璃化,创造ALD沉积环境,形成第一疏松层1;
2)使用ALD技术按照Al2O3、氧化铋、PbO的顺序依次沉积掺杂材料,形成第一芯层2;
3)利用MCVD技术在掺杂材料上沉积掺有GeO2和P2O5的SiO2材料,并将其半玻璃化,形成的第二疏松层3;
4)使用ALD技术,将基管与步骤2反向放置沉积,进一步增加掺杂均匀性。在第二疏松层上按照步骤2中的沉积顺序和掺杂摩尔比再次沉积Al2O3、氧化铋、PbO材料,形成第二芯层4;
5)利用MCVD技术沉积掺杂提高折射率的GeO2、P2O5的SiO2材料,并半玻璃化作为内纤芯(5),最后,高温缩棒,利用拉丝塔将光纤预制棒拉制成光纤。
本发明的有益效果是:
1、利用原子层沉积技术在纤芯部分依次沉积Al2O3、氧化铋、PbO材料,Al2O3与氧化铋的摩尔比约为0.5~20、氧化铋与PbO的摩尔比为0.2~30,通过调控Al2O3、氧化铋和PbO的掺杂摩尔比调控光纤的增益性能。
2、所述的Bi/Pb/P/Ge共掺石英光纤在400~1700nm波长范围内,光纤表现出多个吸收峰,1000nm附近Bi相关的吸收峰被拓宽。
3、所述的Bi/Pb/P/Ge共掺石英光纤在1260~1460nm波段内光纤增益均大于15dB,尤其在1420nm处增益可达到20dB以上。
4、光纤结构简单,掺杂浓度均匀可控,可广泛应用于有源光纤放大器、高阶涡旋光放大器、光纤激光器、光纤传感器等领域。

下面结合附图和具体实施例对本发明进行详细说明。
实施例:
参见图2和图3,一种调控掺铋石英光纤增益大小及带宽宽度的方法,首先,利用MCVD技术在石英管内壁沉积掺杂高折射率GeO2和P2O5的SiO2疏松层,并将其半玻璃化,形成第一疏松层1;其次,使用ALD技术按照Al2O3、氧化铋、PbO的顺序依次沉积掺杂材料,形成第一芯层2,在此过程中通过控制ALD过程的沉积温度、前驱体脉冲时间、蒸汽压力和沉积周期等沉积参数,精确控制各种掺杂材料的沉积浓度,实现Al2O3与氧化铋的摩尔比为0.5~10、氧化铋与PbO的摩尔比为0.2~15;利用MCVD技术在掺杂材料上沉积掺有GeO2和P2O5的SiO2材料,并将其半玻璃化,形成的第二疏松层3;然后,使用ALD技术在第二疏松层上按照上述沉积顺序和掺杂摩尔比再次沉积Al2O3、氧化铋、PbO材料,形成第二芯层4;最后,利用MCVD技术沉积掺杂高折射率GeO2和P2O5的石英材料,并半玻璃化,形成内纤芯5,进一步高温缩棒,利用拉丝塔将光纤预制棒拉制成光纤。

从表中可以看到通过调控Al2O3、氧化铋和PbO的掺杂摩尔比调控光纤的增益性能,当Al/Bi和Bi/Pb的均在1-2这个范围内时可以有效提高荧光强度。

6.根据权利要求5所述调节光纤在O+E波段带宽及增益的方法,其特征在于:Al2O3与氧化铋的摩尔比为0.5~20、氧化铋与PbO的摩尔比为0.2~30。
7.根据权利要求5所述调节光纤在O+E波段带宽及增益的方法,其特征在于:使用ALD技术依次沉积Al2O3、氧化铋和PbO时,使用的O源前驱体材料为臭氧或去离子水,Al源前驱体为三甲基铝,Bi源前驱体为三(2,2,6,6-四甲基-3,5-庚二酸)铋【Bi(tmhd)3】,Pb源前驱体为双(2,2,6,6,-四甲基-3,5-庚二酮酸)铅【Pb(tmhd)2】。
8.根据权利要求7所述调节光纤在O+E波段带宽及增益的方法,其特征在于:Bi源加热温度控制在200~300℃,脉冲时间为200~400ms;Pb源加热温度控制在100~200℃,脉冲时间为200~400ms;O源脉冲时间为200~1000ms;Al源脉冲时间为50~300ms;整个反应腔温度均匀,反应温度为200~400℃,气体流速控制在50~800sccm。
9.根据权利要求5-8任一项所述调节光纤在O+E波段带宽及增益的方法,其特征在于具体步骤为:
1)利用MCVD技术在石英管内壁沉积掺杂用于提高折射率的GeO2、P2O5和SiO2疏松层,并控制温度将其半玻璃化,创造ALD沉积环境,形成第一疏松层(1);
2)使用ALD技术按照Al2O3、氧化铋、PbO的顺序依次沉积掺杂材料,形成第一芯层(2);
3)利用MCVD技术在掺杂材料上沉积掺有GeO2和P2O5的SiO2材料,并将其半玻璃化,形成的第二疏松层(3);
4)使用ALD技术,将基管与步骤2)反向放置沉积,在第二疏松层上按照步骤2)中的沉积顺序和掺杂摩尔比再次沉积Al2O3、氧化铋、PbO材料,形成第二芯层(4);
5)利用MCVD技术沉积掺杂提高折射率的GeO2、P2O5的SiO2材料,并半玻璃化作为内纤芯(5),最后,高温缩棒,利用拉丝塔将光纤预制棒拉制成光纤。
