Abstract

通过使用具有用于连接于传感器板的多个输入/输出端的连接端和用于连接于作为光源一部分的引线框封装的连接端的单独的连接机构,可在集总结构中实现来自外部的输入和向外部的输出。

Description

图象传感器
本发明涉及可用于传真、复制装置、扫描仪等的图象传感器,通过传感器从原始读出表面(read original surface)读出反射光。
作为用于传真、复制装置、扫描仪等的原图读出装置,迄今为止有用于通过使用传感器阵列以一一对应的方式形成读出图象并且按照原始读出图象的尺寸读出该图象的接触式图象传感器。
图11所示的接触式图象传感器的例子构成为在传感器板118上排列有多个传感器芯片112,并安装有用于保护多个传感器芯片112的保护膜114,其中的每个传感器芯片112上有多个用于进行光电转换的象素。用于照射待要读取的原图的光源117、用作将读出的原图图象形成为传感器芯片112的象素的透镜的杆透镜(rod lens)阵列102、以及用作原图读出表面的面板玻璃101固定于用作支撑装置的框架109。
在接触式图象传感器中,其上安装有多个传感器芯片112和配置有驱动传感器芯片的电路布线的传感器板118,其输入/输出端124和用于照射原图的光源的驱动端在远端用不同的结构形成。相应于传感器板118,用Ag-Pd等导体在陶瓷板上形成布线图形,布线图形表面用绝缘涂敷材料加以保护。电路布线的输入/输出端124是导电端,它以相等间距分布于传感器芯片安装表面一侧并且具有可电连接于外部或连接部分等的区域。
光源117使用LED阵列,其中的多个LED器件等分布成使光可以照射到对应于原图读取尺寸的长度范围。引线123等用作LED阵列的驱动端。图12为该部分的详细示图。根据这两个端口部分的示图,首先,挠性印刷电路板116(以下简称为FPC)连接到传感器板118的输入/输出端124,FPC116连接到传感器阵列119,LED阵列的引线123焊接到上面安装有传感器芯片驱动部件、连接器等的印刷电路板126(玻璃环氧树脂等)上,用一个连接器115等可以将来自外部的输入和向外部的输出以集总结构(in a lump)来实现,之后,将印刷电路板126固定到框架109上,从而构成图13所示的接触式图象传感器。
图14所示例子中的传感器板218为两面形成有布线的由玻璃环氧树脂制成的印刷电路板(参见图15和16)。在板218背面的边缘部分既形成有驱动传感器芯片的电路布线,也形成有连接光源的端口225。来自端口225的布线也是导电端,其中集中的输入/输出端224以相等间距分布在与传感器芯片安装表面侧相反的背面上,并且每一输入/输出端224具有可电连接于外部或连接部件等的区域。作为光源217,使用了这样一种结构,在该结构中,在光导引板205上的边缘表面处配置有由一个或多个LED器件构成的LED封装,所述的光导引板205用于在主扫描方向中引导光并将其集中于原图读取部分。光源驱动端用作引线框204。此时如图16所示,光源的引线框204的每一端口223焊接到传感器板218背面边缘部分处提供的端口225上,将可以用一个部件将来自外部的输入和向外部的输出以集总结构来实现的连接器215等的连接部件固定到输入输出端224,从而构成图17所示的接触式图象传感器。
但在上述的接触式图象传感器中,为了构成为传感器板118的输入/输出端124和在远端用不同的结构形成的光源117的驱动端集中到如连接器115等的连接机构,并且为了使输入和输出可以在集总结构中执行,需要诸如FPC116、独立的印刷电路板126等中继连接机构。因此,由于元部件复杂且尺寸较大,安装性能变差。由于部件等的数量增加,导致成本上升。
本发明的目的是提供易于安装的小尺寸图象传感器。
为实现上述目的,根据本发明的优选实施例,所提供的图象传感器包括:用于照射原图的光源;其上安装有多个传感器芯片的传感器板;以及单独的连接机构,直接连接于光源的引线端和传感器板的输入/输出端,将来自外部的输入和向外部的输出在集总结构中实现。
使用这一结构可提供易于安装的小尺寸的图象传感器。
通过下面参照附图的详细说明和后附的权利要求书,本发明的上述和其它的目的和特点将变得更明显。

下面详细描述本发明的接触式图象传感器和平台式传感器。本发明并不限于该实施例,但可以通过具有这些传感器的信息处理装置的形式来实施。
图1示出了根据实施例1的接触式图象传感器的主要部分的结构。
图2为该实施例接触式图象传感器的外部透视图。图3为从箭头A的方向看是的截面透视图。图4为传感器阵列19的外部示图。
如图4所示,多个实现光电转换的传感器芯片12在传感器板18上安装成一排。布线工艺使得多个实现来自外部输入和向外部输出的端口在传感器板18的一个表面上提供或者实现。通过传感器板18和安装于其上的用作光电转换器件的传感器芯片12形成传感器阵列19。如图3所示,该实施例的接触式图象传感器构成为:用于成象来自原图的光的杆透镜阵列2;照射原图的光源17(包括具有多个其上安装有用作发光源的LED器件的端口的引线框封装4和将光导引入主扫描方向的光导引部件5);与待要传送的原图接触的面板玻璃1;由传感器板18和传感器芯片12构成的传感器阵列19;以及用来支撑这些部件单元的框架9。该接触式图象传感器具有单独的连接机构3,用于将传感器板18的多个外部输入/输出端24直接连接到光源的引线框封装4的多个引线端23。如图5所示,单独的连接机构3包括:从外部连接的普通的FFC(挠性扁电缆)或FPC(挠性印刷电路板)连接部分25;可连接于传感器板18的多个外部输入/输出端24的端口20;以及可通过直接焊接或压力接触将引线框封装4的多个引线端23连接于其上的端口21。集中传感器板18和光源的引线框封装4的端口,从而使它们以集总结构连接到外部。图5中单独的连接机构3虽然构造为FFC 25或FPC,但也可构造为压力接触型或压力焊接式的针头型。
图6为图5的连接机构的变例,其中,用于连接到光源的引线框封装的端口的引线部分621在连接机构603的铸模中整体模制完成。
根据上述实施例,为了使输入和输出可以以集总结构来实现,对于上面安装有传感器芯片的电路板的多个输入/输出端和光源的引线框封装的多个引线端,它们被集中到可直接连接的单独的连接机构中。因此可获得以下优点:
(1)可确保传感器芯片的高安装精度和工作性能恶劣的传感器板通过简单布线以低成本使用。
(2)减少了部件数量,降低了成本。
(3)重量轻、尺寸小,并可实现装置的最小化。
(4)由于是直接连接,故减少了工作时间。
图7为根据实施例2的“平台式图象传感器”读取部分的截面图。甚至这种类型的图象传感器与外部的连接,也可以通过使用能直接连接传感器板18的多个外部输入/输出端24和光源的引线框封装4的多个引线端23的单独的连接机构3以集总结构来实现。
如上所述,即使在该实施例中仍可得到与实施例1中相同的效果。
图8为根据实施例3的“接触式图象传感器”的截面图。图9为该实施例特征部分的放大示意图。图8所示的接触式图象传感器包括:传感器阵列819,构成方式为用于实现光电转换的多个传感器芯片812以面朝下的方式呈一排安装到例如由玻璃等制成的半透光板10上;用于根据原图形成光图象的杆透镜阵列2;用于照射原图的光源17;用于支撑所传送原图的面板玻璃1;以及用于支撑上述部件的框架809。在半透光板10上,用于实现来自外部输入和向外部输出(I/O)的多个端口824提供于传感器芯片812的安装表面一侧上。甚至在这一类型的图象传感器的情况下,类似用于板-线结构表面安装的连接器,单独的连接机构803具有:可连接于半透光板10的多个外部输入/输出端824的端口20;以及可直接连接于光源的引线框封装4的多个引线端23的端口21,从而可分批连接于外部。
如上所述,即使在该实施例中仍可得到与实施例1中相同的效果。
图10为根据实施例4的“接触式图象传感器”的特征部分的放大示意图。
如图10所示,根据该实施例,使用FPC(挠性印刷电路板)作为单独的连接机构1003,用于直接连接传感器阵列19的传感器板18的多个外部输入/输出端24和光源的引线框封装4的多个引线端23。传感器板18的布线和引线框封装4的端口以相等间距集中于一处并被引出到外部,使其可连接于通用连接器等。除了连接机构部分,该实施例的整个结构与实施例1相同。
根据上述实施例,通过使用印刷电路板作为单独的连接板,可获得与实施例1相同的效果。
可以构成本发明许多广泛的不同实施例而不脱离本发明的精神和范围。可以理解,本发明不限于说明书中描述的特定的实施例,而由后附的权利要求书来确定。

Claims (7)

1、图象传感器,包括:
照射原图的光源;
上面安装有多个传感器芯片的传感器板;以及
直接连接于所述光源的引线端和所述传感器板的输入/输出端的单独的连接机构,用来在集总结构中实现来自外部的输入和向外部的输出。
2、权利要求1的传感器,其特征在于:所述光源的所述引线端和所述连接机构通过焊接进行连接。
3、权利要求1的传感器,其特征在于:所述光源的所述引线端和所述连接机构通过压力接触进行连接。
4、权利要求1的传感器,还包括用于在所述传感器芯片上形成所述原图的光图象的杆透镜阵列。
5、权利要求1的传感器,还包括支撑所述原图的原图支撑装置。
6、权利要求4的传感器,还包括支撑所述原图的原图支撑装置。
7、权利要求6的传感器,还包括用于支撑所述光源、所述传感器板、所述杆透镜阵列、以及所述原图支撑装置的框架。
