Abstract

The invention relates to a side frame for a drawer, comprising a front support and a rear support, between which a wall element is arranged, which is held on at least one of the two supports by a movable cover.
Background
EP 2814356 discloses a drawer in which a wall element is held on a side frame between a rear panel and a front panel and is clamped by a spring element. This allows to securely fix the wall element when moving the drawer. However, the wall element is accommodated in a holder perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, with a predetermined width at the opposite ends. If a thinner wall element is installed, the wall element can thus be moved in the transverse direction.
DE 202015100769U 1 also discloses a frame for drawers, in which reversible elements are fixed on opposite sides by U-shaped holders. The thickness of the wall element is matched to the holder, so that different holders must also be provided for wall elements of different thicknesses.
Disclosure of Invention
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a side frame for a drawer that can be more flexibly formed in structure.
This object is achieved by a side frame having the features of claim 1.
In the side frame according to the invention, the wall element is held between the front support and the rear support, wherein a movable cover is provided on at least one of the two supports, on which cover a compensation element is arranged, by means of which compensation element wall elements of different thicknesses can be fixed to the supports. This allows the manufacturer of the drawer to use the side frame without wall elements, so that wall elements of different thicknesses and different materials can be fixed to the side frame. This enables a flexible design both in terms of the surface of the wall element and its thickness.
In the side frame according to the invention, the cover with the compensation element is preferably provided on both the front support and the rear support, so that the wall element can be fixed to the compensation element on both the front end face and the rear end face. Depending on the height of the wall element, a plurality of compensating elements can also be arranged on one end face.
Preferably, the compensation element has a stepped section and, depending on the thickness of the wall element, one of the steps engages around the edge of the wall element. If three steps are provided per compensating element, the wall element can be fixed to the compensating element, for example, in three different thicknesses. The number of steps may vary, for example, between two steps and eight steps. Optionally, instead of a stepped design of the compensating element, a wedge-shaped design may be provided, optionally also with an elastic material, in order to fix the edge of the wall element in a clamping manner.
The lid is preferably fixed to the carrier via latching means, for example via one or more latching webs on which latching hooks are formed. For this purpose, the cover can be held on the carrier in a pivotable or displaceable, in particular captive, manner in order to be fixed in the desired position. Preferably, the cover is releasable via a tool, for example via a gap which can engage the tool to release the locking means.
The compensating element can preferably be pretensioned by the energy store in order to fix the wall element in a play-free manner. The compensating element can be displaced and/or pivoted along a guide on the cover in order to be pressed against the wall element by the accumulator.
The wall element is preferably plate-shaped and made of metal, glass, stone, plastic, concrete and/or wood.
In the case of the side frames, means for fixing the front panel (e.g., pins) may be provided on the front support. Means for fixing the back panel may also be provided on the back support, which may be designed depending on the material of the back panel. The supports may each be covered on one side by the cover and on the opposite side by the housing, so that the fastening mechanism is not visible from the outside.

Detailed Description
The furniture 100 comprises a furniture body 101 on which one or more drawers 102 are movably mounted. For this purpose, pull-out guides are provided, which are fixed to both side walls of the furniture body 101.
The side frame 1 of the drawer 102 is shown in fig. 1B and comprises a front support 2 on which a connection means 22, in particular a pin, for connection to a front panel is provided, and a rear support 3 provided with a connection means 31 for connection to a rear panel. In this case, the supports 2 and 3 are kept at a distance from each other by a core 4 formed by one or more parts, on which core 4a groove 5 is provided for inserting the bottom. Above the groove 5, a plate-like wall element 10 is located between the front support 2 and the rear support 3.
Each support 2 and 3 is covered on the outside with a housing 6 and on the inside with a cover 7, whereby the size of the cover can be changed. In addition, the cover 7 may be provided on the outside.
Fig. 2A to 2C show a first embodiment example of a cover 7, to which cover 7 a wall element 10 is fixed at one end. The cover 7 is located near the rear wall 8 arranged at an angle to the side frame 1 and above the bottom 9 of the drawer 102. The cover 7 is made of a thin-walled material, in particular plastic or metal, and forms together with the housing 6a receptacle for one end of the wall element 10. A cavity with connecting means 31 for connecting to the rear wall 8 is present in the housing 6 and the cover 7.
As shown in fig. 2B, the cover 7 is pivotably held on the support 3. For this purpose, a guide element 13 is formed on the cover 7, said guide element 13 having an arcuate elongated hole in which a pin 14 engages on the support 3. The cover 7 is thus mounted such that it can pivot about a vertical axis and can be fixed to the support 2 by a latching arrangement or locking mechanism.
Two compensating elements 11 having sections with a plurality of steps 12 are also fixed to the cover 7 on the inside. Each of the steps 12 is formed by a substantially right-angled recess into which an edge of the wall element 10 can be inserted. Depending on the thickness of the wall element 10, when the lid 7 is pivoted into the closed position, the edge is inserted into one of the steps 12 to secure the wall element 10. The wall element 10 may optionally be longitudinally offset towards the rear or fixed to the front support 2 by another cover 7.
Fig. 3A to 3C show a modified embodiment of the rear support 3, in which a compensating element 11 for fixing the wall element 10 is provided. As in the previous embodiment, the cover 7 can be pivoted about a vertical axis by means of the guide element 13. A guide 15 is formed on the inner side of the cover 7, the compensating element 11 being displaceably mounted in said guide 15. For this purpose, the compensation element 11 has a projecting web 16, which web 16 engages in a groove on the guide 15, so that the compensation element 11 can be displaced parallel to the longitudinal direction of the wall element 10. Furthermore, the compensating element 11 is biased towards the wall element 10 by an accumulator 18 in the form of a spring, which accumulator 18 is supported on one side by a holder 19 of the guide 15 and is held on the opposite side on a sleeve 17 of the compensating element 11. Depending on its thickness, the wall element 10 is fixed to one of the steps 12 of the compensation element 11, the displaceable arrangement of the compensation element 11 also enabling length compensation.
Fig. 4A to 4C show another embodiment of the cover 7, which, unlike the two previous embodiments, is not pivotable about a vertical axis, but about a horizontal axis. Thus, two guide elements 13 'with arcuate elongated holes are provided on the cover 7 on the inside, on which guide elements 13' the horizontal pins 14 'of the support 3' engage. As in the previous embodiment examples, the cover 7 may be fixed to the housing 6 or the support 3 via latching means to fix the wall element 10. In this case two spaced-apart compensating elements 11 are provided on the cover 7, said compensating elements 11 being provided with a step 12, at which step 12 an edge can be inserted at the end face of the wall element 10.
Fig. 5A and 5B show an embodiment of a cover 7, which is no longer pivotably held on the support 2 or 3, but is removable. On its inner side, the cover 7 has one or more compensation elements 11, on which compensation elements 11 a step 12 for fixing the wall element 10 is provided. The cover 7 may be fixed to the support 2 or the housing 6 via a screwing mechanism, a sliding mechanism or a pushing mechanism to fix the wall element 10.
Fig. 6A to 6C show the arrangement of the front support 2 and the rear support 3, between which front support 2 and rear support 3 wall elements 10, 20 and 30 of different thicknesses are provided. For example, the thickest wall element 10 has a thickness of between 8mm and 15mm, in particular 10mm, and is held between two compensation elements 11, each compensation element 11 being fixed to the cover 7, as shown in one of the previous embodiments. In fig. 6B, a wall element 20 is shown, which is thin, for example between 5mm and 12mm, in particular 8 mm. It can be seen that the wall element 20 is held at the step 12 of the compensation element 11, which is different from the wall element 10. The adjacent steps 12 may be arranged in a grid of between 1mm and 3mm, for example in the direction of the thickness of the wall elements 10 to 30.
Fig. 6C shows the thinnest wall element 30, which has a thickness of e.g. between 4mm and 8mm, in particular 6 mm. The wall element 30 is again fixed to a step 12 different from the other two wall elements 10 and 20. Incidentally, the side frames 1 shown in fig. 6A to 6C may have the same design as the front support 2 and the rear support 3.
As can be clearly seen in fig. 6A to 6C, the side frame 1 always forms a continuous outer side, independently of the wall elements 10, 20, 30, due to the compensation element 11. In fig. 6C, the offset between the wall element 30 and the cover 7 can be seen on the side frame 1 compared to fig. 6A.
In the previous embodiment examples, only one support 2 or 3 is shown in each case, on which the cover 7 with the compensation element 11 is arranged. It is possible that both the front support 2 and the rear support 3 have a corresponding compensation element 11 on the cover 7. Alternatively, it is possible for only one of the two supports 2 or 3 to have such a compensating element.
The compensating element 11 may also have more than three steps 12 or a wedge or ramp-shaped profile. Furthermore, only one compensation element 11 or more than two compensation elements 11 can be arranged on the cover 7.

Claims (14)

1. Side frame (1) for a drawer (102), having a front support (2) and a rear support (3, 3 '), between which front (2) and rear (3, 3') supports wall elements (10, 20, 30) are arranged, which wall elements (10, 20, 30) are held on at least one of the two supports (2, 3 ') by means of a movable cover (7), characterized in that a compensation element (11) is arranged on the cover (7), by means of which compensation element (11) wall elements (10, 20, 30) of different thicknesses can be fixed on the supports (2, 3').

8. Side frame according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the wall element (10, 20, 30) is formed of glass, stone, metal, plastic and/or wood.
9. Side frame according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cover (7) is pivotable about a vertical axis or about a horizontal axis.
10. Side frame according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the cover (7) is displaceably held on the support (2, 3').
11. Side frame according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the compensating element (11) is displaceably held on the cover (7) along a guide (15) and is biased by a spring (18) into an assembly position for fixing the wall element (10, 20, 30).
12. Side frame according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the compensation element (11) comprises an elastic material which bears in a clamping manner on the wall element (10, 20, 30).
13. Side frame according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that a connecting device (22) for fixing a front panel is provided on the front support (2) and a connecting device (31) for fixing a rear wall (8) is provided on the rear support (3, 3').
