Description

Drawer and unit consisting of a pull-out guide and a drawer
Technical Field
The invention relates to a drawer with two side frames and a bottom arranged between the side frames, wherein each side frame has a plurality of spaced-apart adapters, wherein at least one cover of the bottom and the side frames is fixed to the adapter, and to a unit of a pull-out guide and a drawer.
Background
WO 2015/091867 discloses a drawer wall element wherein the bottom is fixed to a plurality of adapters formed as profiles. By using several adapters, the drawer can be made longer with less material investment. However, if the drawer slides in the longitudinal direction of the pull-out guide, problems may occur in assembling such a drawer. In this case, the edge on the guide rail or the projection in the gap between the two adapters may get stuck and there is a risk of damaging the cover of the side frame on the frame bracket or other parts.
Disclosure of Invention
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a drawer that can be more easily mounted on a pull-out guide. Furthermore, a unit comprising a pull-out guide and a drawer will be provided.
This object is solved by a drawer having the features of claim 1.
The drawer according to the invention has two side frames, each comprising a plurality of adapters spaced apart from one another and at least one cover in each case, wherein a guide element is fixed to the at least one adapter or the at least one cover below the drawer bottom and is arranged flush with a guide surface of the adapter. As a result, the guide surface of the adapter can extend through the guide element, which prevents the component from passing between two adjacent adapters. The drawer can still be produced in a material-saving manner, since a plurality of adapters spaced apart from one another are used, and the additional guide element is mounted on at least one adapter or cover only in the guide region for assembly. For example, the guide element may be arranged between the rearmost adapter adjacent to the rear wall and the adapter in front thereof, seen in the longitudinal direction of the side frame. In most cases, the drawer is first placed in the rear area during assembly, so that the guide elements become effective in this area.
According to a preferred design, the guide element can be inserted with a holder on the receptacle of the adapter or on the receptacle of the cover. This makes the guide element easy to mount, especially also during automated assembly. Corresponding webs or pins may be formed on the guide element for plug-in mounting.
Preferably, the guiding element bridges the distance between two adjacent adapters. In this case, the distance can be bridged over substantially the entire length, so that the guide surface extends in the longitudinal direction of the side frame over the length of the two adapters and the guide element during assembly.
In a preferred design, the adapter has a slotted receptacle for receiving the bottom edge. A portion of the cover may also optionally be disposed in a slotted receptacle, which is then secured in the receptacle with the base.
Preferably, the adapter is designed in an inclined manner below the bottom and has a guide surface oriented perpendicular to the bottom. The guiding surface on the adapter may have the same height as the guiding surface on the guiding element. Alternatively, the guide surface on the guide element may also have a smaller vertical extension than the guide surface on the adapter.
The guide element can be inserted into the adapter parallel to the longitudinal direction of the side frame. Alternatively, the guide element can be inserted perpendicular to the longitudinal direction into a receptacle on the side frame or the cover.
Preferably, the adapter is made of bent sheet metal to provide a stable fixation of the base and the cover. The guide element may be made of sheet metal or plastic.
According to the present invention, there is also provided a unit comprising a pull-out guide and a drawer. The pull-out guide may be designed as an underfloor pull-out guide. The guide surfaces for mounting the drawer on the pull-out guide are preferably vertically aligned.

Fig. 4A to 4C show several views of a side frame of a drawer according to the invention and according to a third exemplary embodiment.
Detailed Description
The drawer 1 comprises two side frames 2 connected to each other via a bottom 3. Further, the rear panel 4 is disposed in the rear region between the side frames 2. The front panel is not shown in fig. 1A and 1B. Such a front panel is fixed to two front adapters 5, on which also an adjustment mechanism for positioning the front panel can be provided.
The side frame 2 is designed in a hollow manner and is surrounded by an inner cover 6 and an outer cover 7, which are covered in the upper region by a strip 8. The covers 6 and 7 may also be made of one piece.
The base 3 is supported along the length of the side frame 2 on a plurality of adapters, each having a channel-shaped receptacle 30 around one edge of the base 3, as shown in fig. 1B.
The drawer 1 is mounted on a pull-out guide 10 having a rail 11 with a mounting bracket for mounting on the body of a piece of furniture or a household appliance. The central track 12 is movably mounted on the guide rail 11 via rolling elements. The central rail 12 is also used for the movable mounting of a running rail 13 on which the bottom 3 of the drawer 1 is supported. The web-like actuator 15 may optionally be fixed to the pull-out guide 10, which may be connected to a self-closing device or another device 14 for braking or accelerating the running rail 13.
To mount the drawer 1 on the two pull-out guides 10 on opposite sides, the drawer 1 is first placed on the running rail 13 in the rear region and then moved backwards until the hooks 16 on the running rail 13 engage the fastening elements on the rear panel 4. Other means for securing the drawer 1 to the running rail 13 may also be provided. During this sliding operation, the drawer 1 is usually already inserted into the body of the piece of furniture or household appliance, which is why a precise alignment of the drawer in the transverse direction is advantageous, for example, in order to prevent the projection between the two adapters on the running rail 13 or the side frame 2 from getting stuck. Thus, a guide surface is provided on the adapter or adapters, wherein in fig. 1B the guide surface 9 protrudes vertically downwards below the adapter 5 and rests against the vertical wall of the running rail 13.
In fig. 2A to 2C, the rear end region of the side frame 2 is shown, which side frame has a rear adapter 20, which can be connected to the rear wall 4 via fastening elements 24. Spaced from the adapter 20, which is made of steel plate, is another adapter 40. Depending on the length and load, a plurality of adapters may be provided along the length of the side frame 2 to secure the covers 6 and 7 and the bottom 3 in a stable manner.
The adapter 20 has an upwardly projecting web 21 for securing the lid 6, which web is engaged through an opening in the inclined web 18 of the lid 6. The adapter 40 also has an upwardly projecting web 41 which passes through another opening in the lid web 18.
Both adapters 20 and 40 also have a slotted receptacle 30 into which the edge of the base 3 can be inserted. The lower part of the cover 6 conforms to the contour of the slotted receptacle 30 and is inserted with the angled part 17 into the slotted receptacle 30.
Underneath the slotted receptacle 30, the adapters 20 and 40 each have vertical guide surfaces 23 and 43 that provide guidance during assembly of the drawer 1, as shown in FIG. 1B. In order to prevent engagement between the two adapters 20 and 40 of the edge of the running rail 13 or of another component, an additional guide element 50 is provided, which can be mounted on the adapter 20 via a holder 51. The retainer 51 is formed by a tab that is insertable into the slot 25 on the adapter 20. The guide element 50 has an inclined horizontal portion 52 and a vertical portion as a guide surface 53, which portions conform to the adjacent contour of the adapter 20, which forms the trough-shaped portion 22 and below the vertical guide surface 23. The guide element 60 has a vertical guide surface 53 that is substantially flush with the guide surface 23 of the adjacent adapter 20, as shown in fig. 2A. A protrusion 54 is integrally formed on the guide surface 23 to align the guide member, and the protrusion engages behind the guide surface 23. Thereby, the guide surface 53 of the guide element 50 bridges the distance between the rear adapter 20 and the adjacent adapter 40 in the central area of the side frame 2. Thus, the guide surface 53 of the guide element 50 is also aligned with the guide surface 43 of the adapter 40, so that the entire path length of the guide surfaces 23, 53 and 43 can be used during assembly in order to mount the drawer 1 on the pull-out guide 10.
The guide element 50 may be made of, for example, plastic or metal, and may be mounted on the adapter 20 by insertion in an automated process.
In fig. 3A to 3C, a modified exemplary embodiment of the guide member 60 mounted on the side frame 2 is shown. The design of the adapters 20 and 40 and the lid 6 is the same as in the previous exemplary embodiment, except that the receptacle 19 is attached to the lower corner portion 17 of the lid 6. A retainer 62 in the form of a tab formed on the guide element 60 can be inserted into the receptacle 19. The guide element 60 is formed in an angled shape and is adapted to the contour of the slotted receptacle 30. The guide element 60 has a guide surface 63 in the form of a vertical web which extends below the slotted receptacle 30, as shown in particular in fig. 3B. The guide surface 63 bridges the distance between the two guide surfaces 23 and 43, which form a continuous guide surface during assembly.
In the exemplary embodiment of fig. 2 and 3, the guide surfaces 53 and 63 have the same height in the vertical direction as the adjacent guide surfaces 23 and 43. In fig. 4A to 4C, a modified exemplary embodiment is shown, in which the side frame 2 has a guide element 70 on the adapter 20, which has a guide surface in the form of a web 72, which is lower in height in the vertical direction than the adjacent guide surfaces 23 and 43. However, the web 72 may also provide guidance during assembly, as the web 72 extends substantially flush with the surfaces adjacent to the guide surfaces 23 and 43. The guide element 70 has a fastening portion 71 which is fixed to the adapter 20 in the region of the trough-shaped portion 22.
The guide elements 50, 60 and 70 can be fixed to the adapter 20 by sliding or pivoting, wherein optionally also latching or other mechanical fixing can be carried out. The guide element does not have to extend over the entire length of the distance between the two adapters 20 and 40, but can alternatively be designed to be shorter. However, bridging this distance is advantageous in terms of assembly.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, one guide element is shown between each of the two adapters 20 and 40. Of course, it is also possible to provide more than one guide element 50, 60 or 70 between two adapters on each side frame 2 in order to further enlarge the guide range during assembly.
