背景技术

发明内容

本发明的热熔融组合物可不含增塑剂。这是所期望的,因为增塑剂可造成沾污并且通常包含最终使用者不期望的挥发性物质或聚芳族烃 (PAH)。
本发明的热熔融组合物尤其可用于使芯稳定。在使芯稳定中,可使用通常呈纤维化结构形式的热熔融组合物来将芯的吸收材料保持在适当的位置。
本发明人还设想,本发明的热熔融组合物可用作构造粘合剂或用作弹性材料以在一次性吸收制品中提供拉伸性。

如果预期热熔融组合物将两个基材粘附在一起,则组合物优选包含基于丙烯的聚合物。基于丙烯的聚合物可为均聚物。另选地,基于丙烯的聚合物衍生自丙烯和除丙烯之外的至少一种烯烃共聚单体。在一个优选的实施方案中,基于丙烯的聚合物衍生自丙烯和至少一种选自乙烯、丁烯和己烯的单体。α-烯烃可为丙烯丁烯共聚物。

蜡

吸收芯包括芯,并任选包括芯包裹物。吸收芯可在线制造(即,在一次性吸收制品装配线中制造)。另选地,芯可离线制造,然后卷起或悬挂以在稍后的日期或不同的位置使用。
芯可以在设计、形状和所使用的材料方面变化。芯可以成形为类似于长矩形或类似于狗骨头。芯可以为一种连续形状或可断裂成由例如顶片和底片形成的通道。
芯通常在制品内居中,并且通过附接装置(例如粘合剂)牢固地固定在顶片与底片之间。
芯包含能够吸收通过顶片接收的体液和固体的吸收材料。芯可包含纤维素纤维(即绒毛)、木浆、棉、合成纤维、非织造物、薄纸、泡沫、超吸收聚合物(例如聚丙烯酸酯)或任何其他吸收材料。

热熔融组合物还可用于构造应用。在一次性吸收制品的制造中的典型构造应用中,将体液不可渗透的底片粘结到非织造基材。在其他构造应用中,非织造基材粘结到非织造基材。热熔融组合物也可用于粘结至少一个附加层或材料,该至少一个附加层或材料选自吸收剂、薄纸、弹性体材料、超吸收聚合物以及它们的组合。例如,热熔融组合物还可用于底片层压,即其中将通常为聚烯烃膜(例如聚乙烯、聚丙烯、乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯、乙烯共聚物等)的体液不可渗透的底片粘结到第二非织造物以改善一次性制品的感觉。

实施例
测试程序
除非另外指明,否则用于实施例和整篇说明书的测试程序包括以下程序。
热熔融组合物制备
在曲拐式混合器中以5000克(g)的批量制备热熔融样品。使用约 177℃的加热油温度。首先添加聚合物和添加剂,共混直至平滑,然后分批添加蜡。使混合物混合直至均匀,然后倾倒。每个样品花费约1小时来制备。
粘度测试方法
根据标题为“Standard Test Method for Apparent viscosity of Adhesivesand Coating Materials(粘合剂和涂覆材料表观粘度的标准测试方法)” (1988年10月31日)的ASTM D-3236,使用RVDV 2型Brookfield Thermosel粘度计和27号转子来确定粘度。结果以厘泊(cP)报告。
拉伸伸长率和最大应力测试方法
通过压缩在176.7℃(350℉)下融化的重量大于5千克(kg)的样品并冷却至室温制成样品薄膜,用模具从该样品薄膜上切割0.127厘米 (cm)至0.305cm(0.05英寸至0.12英寸)厚、2.54cm(1英寸)标距长度、0.318cm(0.125英寸)标距宽度的每种热熔融组合物的哑铃形样本。
在测试之前,使样本在室温下老化1天。
使用配备有4.99千克力(kgf)(11磅力(lbf))负荷传感器的 Instron 5542台式单元来确定室温下的拉伸特性。夹头速度设定为30.48厘米/分钟(12英寸/分钟)。测试每个样品的至少三个哑铃形样本。记录张力和夹头位移,并在25.4cm(10英寸)夹头位移处达到样品失效或仪器极限时终止。通过获取在初始样品标距长度上的夹头位移来计算极限伸长率,并记录最大拉伸应力。在所测试的样本之间对这两个值取平均值。
剥离测试样品制备方法
将7.62cm(3英寸)宽的梳状图案槽式涂覆施加装置和层压机设定为 154℃的施加温度、103.4千帕(15psi)的辊隙压力、25g/m2的施加重量,并使用最小的回绕和退绕张力,以便不拉伸膜。当纤维网以173.7米/分钟 (m/min)至192.0m/min的速度通过施加装置时,热熔融粘合剂组合物以 25g/m2的涂层重量连续施加在基重为8g/m2的非织造物1上。然后将基重为10g/m2的以与非织造物1纤维网相同的速度行进的非织造物2纤维网贴靠粘合剂组合物和非织造纤维网1夹紧到位以形成层压体。然后沿与涂覆机的纵向垂直的横向(CD)将该层压体切割成5.1cm(2英寸)宽的条带。
动态剥离力测试方法
根据名称为“Test Method for Determining Peel Resistance of Adhesive(T-Peel Test Method)(用于确定粘合剂的抗剥离性的测试方法(T-剥离测试方法))”的ASTM D1876-01来确定动态剥离力,不同的是在10秒的时间段内以30.5厘米/分钟(12英寸/分钟)运行测试并且运行4次平行测定。在IMASS Spec型测试仪器上运行样品。除非另外指明,否则测试样品如样品制备测试方法中所述进行制备。沿横向涂覆方向使样品剥离。记录10秒内剥离的平均剥离力值,结果以克力/英寸(gf/in)记录。初始动态剥离力值为在制备样品后24小时所测量的值。测试四次平行测定,平均值以克力/英寸(gf/in)记录。

Claims (15)
1.一种热熔融组合物,所述热熔融组合物包含:
15重量%至60重量%的苯乙烯嵌段共聚物,
15重量%至75重量%的具有45℃至90℃凝固点(ASTMD938)的蜡,以及
不大于10重量%的液体增塑剂。
2.根据权利要求1所述的热熔融组合物,所述热熔融组合物不含液体增塑剂。
3.根据权利要求1所述的热熔融组合物,所述热熔融组合物具有15重量%至45重量%的总聚合物含量。
4.根据权利要求1所述的热熔融组合物,所述热熔融组合物包含25重量%至75重量%的所述蜡。
5.根据权利要求1所述的热熔融组合物,所述热熔融组合物还包含5重量%至40重量%的基于丙烯的聚合物。
6.根据权利要求1所述的热熔融组合物,其中所述蜡为石蜡。
7.根据权利要求1所述的热熔融组合物,其中所述苯乙烯嵌段共聚物具有氢化的中间嵌段。
8.根据权利要求1所述的热熔融组合物,其中所述苯乙烯嵌段共聚物为苯乙烯-异戊二烯-苯乙烯嵌段共聚物。
9.根据权利要求1所述的热熔融组合物,所述热熔融组合物还包含5重量%至40重量%的增粘剂。
10.根据权利要求1所述的热熔融组合物,所述热熔融组合物不含增粘剂。
11.根据权利要求1所述的热熔融组合物,所述热熔融组合物具有大于600%的伸长率和至少1.0兆帕的最大拉伸应力。
12.根据权利要求1所述的热熔融组合物,所述热熔融组合物包含:
15重量%至45重量%的苯乙烯嵌段共聚物,
35重量%至75重量%的具有45℃至90℃凝固点(ASTMD938)的蜡,以及
任选至多40重量%的增粘剂,其中所述热熔融组合物不含增塑剂。
13.一种吸收制品,所述吸收制品包括:
热熔融组合物;以及
芯,所述芯包含所述热熔融组合物和吸收材料;
其中所述热熔融组合物将所述吸收芯的至少一部分固定到所述吸收制品的材料;并且其中所述热熔融组合物包含:
15重量%至45重量%的苯乙烯嵌段共聚物;以及
25重量%至75重量%的具有45℃至90℃凝固点(ASTMD938)的蜡。
14.根据权利要求13所述的吸收制品,其中所述芯包含少于10重量%的绒毛。
15.根据权利要求13所述的吸收制品,所述吸收制品具有不大于47重量%的总聚合物含量。
