Abstract
The invention discloses a Chinese herbal medicine feed additive composition for laying hens and a using method thereof, wherein the Chinese herbal medicine feed additive composition for laying hens is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 0.8-1.2 parts of prepared rhizome of rehmannia, 0.8-1.2 parts of dogwood, 0.8-1.2 parts of yam and 0.8-1.2 parts of tuckahoe; the application method of the Chinese herbal medicine feed additive composition for the laying hens comprises the steps of adding the Chinese herbal medicine feed additive composition for the laying hens into a basic daily ration of the laying hens to feed the laying hens with the age of more than 150 days, and adding 600-1000 mg of the Chinese herbal medicine feed additive composition for the laying hens into each kilogram of the basic daily ration of the laying hens. The invention can improve the egg laying performance and the eggshell quality of the laying hens, has good improving effect on the eggshell color, the egg breaking rate and the deformity rate, can obviously reduce the average daily feed intake of the laying hens, enhances the immune function of the laying hens and reduces the occurrence of diseases.

Test 1: feed additive composition dosage test
270 healthy breeding hens of 60 weeks old and having similar body weights are selected to inhabit the green grass chickens and randomly divided into 3 groups, each group has 3 repetitions, and each repetition has 15 chickens. At the end of the 12 th week of the test, 6 eggs were repeatedly taken every day for 3 consecutive days, and the apparent quality of the eggshells was determined. Measuring the weight of the egg and the weight of the eggshell by using an analytical balance, and calculating the proportion of the eggshell (%) = the weight of the eggshell/the weight of the egg multiplied by 100%; an eggshell thickness tester measures the thickness of the eggshell, measures the thickness of two ends and the thickness of the equator of the egg respectively, and takes the average value as the thickness of the eggshell; an eggshell strength analyzer measures eggshell strength.

According to the test results in the table 1, the eggshell thickness is linearly increased along with the increase of the addition amount of the Chinese herbal medicine feed additive composition of the laying hen. Compared with a control group, the thickness of the eggshell of each treatment group added with the Chinese herbal medicine feed additive composition for laying hens is obviously increased, the egg breaking rate and the soft egg rate are obviously reduced, and the difference between different addition levels is not obvious. Wherein, the eggshell strength of the 800mg/kg group is obviously improved compared with that of the control group. The results show that the addition of the Chinese herbal medicine feed additive composition for laying hens in the basic ration of the laying hens can improve the quality of later-period eggshells, and the addition of 800mg/kg under the test condition has the optimal effect.
Test 2: test of influence of feed additive composition on laying performance of laying hens in later period of egg laying
1000 green grass chickens with similar age in days and average weight of about 2.5kg +/-0.5 kg are selected and randomly divided into 2 treatments, 500 treatments are taken as objects, and the influence research of the Chinese herbal medicine feed additive composition for the laying hens on the growth performance and the immunity performance is discussed. The control group was fed with the basic ration (corn-soybean meal type) of the laying hens, the test group was fed with the basic ration of the laying hens plus the Chinese herbal medicine feed additive composition for the laying hens prepared in example 1, 800mg of the Chinese herbal medicine feed additive composition for the laying hens was added to each kg of the basic ration of the laying hens, and the feeding management of the test chickens during the test period adopted the conventional feeding management mode.
The test results show that: the addition of the Chinese herbal medicine feed additive composition for the laying hens reduces the average daily feed intake of the laying hens, reduces the feed intake of the laying hens of a test group by 2.70%, reduces the feed-egg ratio by 2.84%, and obviously improves the production performance of the laying hens. In addition, the Chinese herbal medicine feed additive composition for the laying hens can obviously enhance the immunologic function of bird organisms, reduce the occurrence of bacterial and viral diseases of the birds and improve the survival rate of the laying hens.
