技术领域
本发明是关于一种显示面板,尤指一种基板上遮光图案与绝缘层间具有特殊结构设计的显示面板。
背景技术
随着显示器技术不断进步,所有的显示面板均朝体积小、厚度薄、重量轻等趋势发展,故目前市面上主流的显示器装置已由以往的阴极射线管发展成薄型显示器,如液晶显示面板、有机发光二极管显示面板或无机发光二极管显示面板等。其中,薄型显示器可应用的领域相当多,但凡日常生活中使用的手机、笔记本电脑、摄影机、照相机、音乐播放器、移动导航装置、电视等显示面板,大多数均使用该些显示面板。
虽然液晶显示设备或有机发光二极管显示设备已为市面上常见的显示设备,特别是液晶显示设备的技术更是相当成熟,但随着显示设备不断发展且消费者对显示设备的显示质量要求日趋提高,各家厂商无不极力发展出具有更高显示质量的显示设备。
在目前常见的显示设备中,遮光图案可设于薄膜晶体管基板上或也可设于与薄膜晶体管相对的对侧基板上。当遮光图案设于薄膜晶体管基板上时,因薄膜晶体管基板层别较多,遮光图案于不同层别交界处容易产生剥离的现象。有鉴于此,目前亟需发展一种显示面板,其可解决遮光图案容易剥离的问题,进而提升显示面板的产品合格率。
发明内容
本发明的显示面板包含:一基板;一扫描线,设置于该基板上且沿一第一方向延伸;一第一数据线,设置于该基板上,其中该第一数据线沿一第二方向延伸且与该扫描线交错,该第一方向不同于该第二方向;以及一第一遮光金属图案,沿该第二方向延伸且设置于该第一数据线的一侧。

图1A及图1B分别为本实施例的显示面板俯视图及剖面示意图。其中,本实施例的显示设备包括:一基板11;一对侧基板2,与基板11相对设置;以及一显示介质层3,设置于基板11与对侧基板2间。其中,显示设备可包括:一显示区AA;以及一外围区B,邻近该显示区AA且位于该显示区AA外。在此,所谓的外围区B即走线分布的区域;而所谓的显示区AA则为像素分布的区域。在本实施例中,基板11上方可设置有薄膜电晶单元(图未示)、彩色滤光层(图未示)及遮光图案(图未示);然而,在本发明的其他实施例中,彩色滤光层(图未示)亦可选择性地设于对侧基板2上。此外,在本实施例中,基板11及对侧基板2可使用例如玻璃、塑料、可挠性材质等基材材料所制成。此外,在本实施例中,遮光图案(图未示)也可为一黑色矩阵层。
图2A及图2B分别为本实施例的显示面板的基板上方元件的示意图。
其中,图2A及图2B的差异在于,图2B中未绘制图2A的部分层别的填充线,以简洁表示用;且于图2B上更加入遮光图案。此外,图3为沿图2A及图2B所示的剖面线L1-L1′的显示面板的剖面示意图。
如图2A及图3所示,在本实施例的显示面板中,首先,于基板11上先形成一第一金属层,该第一金属层包括:一扫描线121、一第一遮光金属图案122、一第二遮光金属图案123及一第三遮光金属图案124。而后,于第一金属层上形成一第一绝缘层13,再于第一绝缘层13上欲形成薄膜晶体管单元的区域形成一主动层14。于主动层14上形成一第二金属层,该第二金属层包括:一数据线151及一电极垫152。接着,于第二金属层上形成一第二绝缘层16,于第二绝缘层16上形成一彩色滤光层21。
如图2A及图3所示,接着,于彩色滤光层21上形成一绝缘层17,且绝缘层17具有一开口171以显露部分第二金属层。于图3中,绝缘层17的开口171显露第二金属层的部分电极垫152。而后,于绝缘层17及所显露的电极垫152上形成一第一电极层18,再形成一遮光图案31。如图2B及图3所示,遮光图案31除了形成于绝缘层17的开口171中外,更覆盖扫描线121、第一遮光金属图案122、部分第二遮光金属图案123、数据线151及部分电极垫152,请参考如图2B中遮光图案31的边界31a所示。如此,则完成本实施例基板上的薄膜电晶结构、彩色滤光层及遮光图案的制作。
在本实施例中,显示面板还包括一彩色滤光层21,形成于基板11上且设于绝缘层17与基板11间;然而,在本发明的其他实施例中,彩色滤光层21可改设于对侧基板2(如图1B所示)上。
在本实施例的显示面板中,显示面板可为一液晶显示面板。在此情形下,第一电极层18可作为一像素电极;且在形成遮光图案31后,更可层叠一配向层(图未示)。
然而,本发明的显示面板并不仅限于液晶显示面板,也可为一有机发光二极管显示面板。当本发明的显示面板为一有机发光二极管显示面板时,彩色滤光层21可改设于对侧基板2(如图1所示)上、或显示面板未设有彩色滤光层。此外,基板11上的元件则还包括其他用于形成有机发光二极管的层,如:一有机层及一第二电极层,其中,该有机层设于如图3所示的第一电极层18与第二电极层间。
在本实施例的显示面板中,第一绝缘层13、第二绝缘层16及绝缘层17可使用如氧化物、氮化物或氮氧化物等绝缘层材料制作。第一金属层(包括扫描线121、第一遮光金属图案122、第二遮光金属图案123及第三遮光金属图案124)及第二金属层(包括数据线151及电极垫152)可使用导电材料,如金属、合金、金属氧化物、金属氮氧化物、或其他电极材料所制成。第一电极层18可使用如ITO、IZO或ITZO等透明导电电极材料所制成。然而,在本发明的其他实施例中,前述元件的材料并不仅限于此。
图4为图2B所示的显示面板的部分放大图。如图3及图4所示,本实施例的显示面板包含:一基板11;一扫描线121,设置于基板11上且沿一第一方向X延伸,于平行该第一方向上定义一第一参考线Lr1,且第一参考线Lrl位于扫描线121上;多条数据线151,设置于基板11上且沿一第二方向Y延伸,第一方向X不同于第二方向Y;一绝缘层17,位于基板11上且具有一开口171;以及一遮光图案31,位于两相邻数据线151之间且遮光图案31与扫描线121重叠。更详细而言,绝缘层17是位于数据线151上,且遮光图案31位于部分绝缘层17上且设于开口171中。
在本实施例中,第一方向X与第二方向Y实质上垂直,而所谓的“实质上垂直”是指两者之间的夹角介于85度至90度之间;然而,本发明并不仅限于此。于本发明的其他实施例中,只要第一方向X与第二方向Y不同即可。
如图4所示,在本实施例的显示面板中,遮光图案31具有一第一区域311与一第二区域312,第一区域311为与绝缘层17的开口171重叠的区域,而第二区域312为邻近第一区域311的区域。其中,第一区域311具有一第一外边缘311a,而第二区域312具有一第二外边缘312a;而第一外边缘311a与第一参考线Lr1具有一第一距离D1,第二外边缘312a与第一参考线Lr1具有一第二距离D2,且第一距离D1大于第二距离D2。
如图3及图4所示,遮光图案31设于绝缘层17的开口171中,故绝缘层17的开口171对遮光图案31而言,会产生一高低差。更详细而言,绝缘层17的开口171底部与绝缘层17的上表面具有一高低差;当遮光图案31遇到该开口171而造成的高低差时,容易产生剥离的情形。因此,在本实施例的显示面板中,通过增加设于绝缘层17的开口171处的遮光图案31的第一区域311其第一外边缘311a与第一参考线Lrl的第一距离D1,使第一距离D1大于第二区域312其第二外边缘312a与第一参考线Lr1的第二距离D2,如此可增加遮光图案31的第一区域311于绝缘层17的开口171处的接触面积,以提升遮光图案31的第一区域311的附着性,进而避免遮光图案31于绝缘层17的开口171处有剥离的情形产生。
在本实施例中,如图3所示,遮光图案31的第一外边缘311a位于绝缘层17的开口171的一第一倾斜面172上。此外,在本实施例的显示面板中,于通过绝缘层17的开口171的一第二剖面(即,如图3所示的剖面图)中,绝缘层17的开口171具有一第一倾斜面172及一第二倾斜面173;其中,遮光图案31部分覆盖第一倾斜面172且完全覆盖第二倾斜面173。此外,于此第二剖面(即,如图3所示的剖面图)中,定义与基板11的一基板表面11a平行且通过绝缘层17为一第二参考线Lr2,且第二参考线Lr2与第一倾斜面172及第二倾斜面173分别形成一第一交点P1及一第二交点P2;其中,遮光图案31分别至第一交点P1的高度H11及第二交点P2的高度H12不相同。在本实施例中,高度H11小于高度H12;然而,在本发明的其他实施例中,高度H11可大于高度H12。在此,所谓的“高度H11”及“高度H12”分别指绝缘层17表面至第一交点P1及第二交点P2于垂直基板表面11a方向上的距离。
图5为沿图2A及图2B所示的剖面线L2-L2′的显示面板的剖面示意图,而图6为图2B的显示面板的部分放大图。于本发明的显示面板中,于如图5所示的沿第一方向X上的一第一剖面中或于如图6所示的俯视图中,遮光图案31更与数据线151重叠且具有一第一侧边313与一第二侧边314,第一侧边313与第二侧边314分别位于数据线151的两侧,数据线151具有一中心线C(于图5中为一中心点CP),第一侧边313与中心线C(或中心点CP)具有一第三距离D3,第二侧边314与中心线C(或中心点CP)具有一第四距离D4,且第三距离D3与第四距离D4不同。在此,所谓的“第三距离D3”及“第四距离D4”是指第一侧边313及第二侧边314与中心线C或中心点CP于基板上投影后所得到的距离。
如图5及图6所示,本实施例的显示面板还包括一第一遮光金属图案122及一第二遮光金属图案123,其中第一遮光金属图案122及第二遮光金属图案123沿第二方向Y延伸且分别设于数据线151两侧。遮光图案31的第一侧边313靠近第一遮光金属图案122,第二侧边314靠近第二遮光金属图案123,第二遮光金属图案123宽度W2大于第一遮光金属图案122宽度W1,且第三距离D3小于第四距离D4。
由于第一遮光金属图案122宽度W1与第二遮光金属图案123宽度W2不同,特别是宽度W2大于宽度W1,故当形成遮光图案31时,会倾向让遮光图案31朝宽度较大的第二遮光金属图案123靠近。更详细而言,以数据线151的中心线C或中心点CP作为基准,遮光图案31的第一侧边313及第二侧边314至中心线C或中心点CP的距离并不相等;且相比于邻近具有较小宽度的第一遮光金属图案122的遮光图案31的第一侧边313,邻近具有较大宽度的第二遮光金属图案123的遮光图案31的第二侧边314与中心线C或中心点CP间的距离较大,即遮光图案31设计成靠近较大宽度的第二遮光金属图案123。如此,可提升显示面板的穿透率。在本实施例中,如图2A及图2B所示,于单一像素中,第一遮光金属图案122、第二遮光金属图案123与其他部分(如:沿第一方向X延伸的第三遮光金属图案124)构成一具有特殊外型的遮光金属图案;然而,本发明的其他实施例中的遮光金属图案的外型并不仅限于此,可为其他外型。
此外,如图5及图6所示,在本实施例的显示面板中,第二侧边314更可位于第二遮光金属图案123上。
此外,如图2A及图2B所示,本实施例的显示面板包括多条扫描线121,其中扫描线121与数据线151定义多个像素,该些像素包括一第一子像素Px1及一第二子像素Px2,第一子像素Px1与第二子像素Px2相邻,第一子像素Px1为一绿色子像素(即,图5中的彩色滤光层的第一光刻胶211为绿色光刻胶),而第二子像素Px2为一非绿色子像素(即,图5中的彩色滤光层的第二光刻胶212为非绿色光刻胶)。在本实施例中,非绿色子像素可为一蓝色子像素或一红色子像素;然而,本发明并非仅限于此。
如图5及图6所示,在本实施例的显示面板中,遮光图案31的第一侧边313位于第一子像素Px1上,第二侧边314位于第二子像素Px2上,且第三距离D3小于第四距离D4。因人眼对于光线波长靠近绿色光波长最为敏感,故当形成遮光图案31时,会倾向让遮光图案31远离绿色子像素,进而提升绿色子像素的穿透率。更详细而言,以数据线151的中心线C或中心点CP作为基准,遮光图案31的第一侧边313及第二侧边314至中心线C或中心点CP的距离并不相等;且相比于绿色的第一子像素Px1,位于非绿色的第二子像素Px2的遮光图案31的第二侧边314与中心线C或中心点CP间的距离(即,第四距离D4)较大,即遮光图案31设计成远离绿色的第一子像素Pxl并靠近非绿色的第二子像素Px2。如此,可提升显示面板的穿透率。
图7为沿图2A及图2B所示的剖面线L3-L3′的显示面板的剖面示意图。如图2B及图7所示,本实施例的显示面板包括多条扫描线121,其中遮光图案31与扫描线121及数据线151重叠,位于至少一扫描线121上的遮光图案31与基板11间具有一第一高度H21,位于至少一数据线151上的遮光图案31与基板11间具有一第二高度H22,且第一高度H21大于第二高度H22。
图8为本发明另一实施例的显示面板的基板上方元件的示意图。本实施例的显示面板与前述实施例相似,特别是遮光图案(即,黑色矩阵层)的特征均与前述实施例相似;而主要的差异点在于,本实施例的显示面板不具有金属遮光图案。
本发明的另一实施例更提供一显示设备,其包括前述实施例所制得的显示面板。当显示设备为一液晶显示设备时,显示设备可还包括一背光模块(图未示),设于图1的显示面板下方,即设于基板1的下方。
在本发明中,前述实施例所制得的显示面板,可与触控面板合并使用,而做为一触控显示设备。同时,本发明前述实施例所制得的显示设备或触控显示设备,可应用于本技术领域已知的任何需要显示屏幕的电子装置上,如显示器、手机、笔记本电脑、摄影机、照相机、音乐播放器、移动导航装置、电视等需要显示影像的电子装置上。
上述实施例仅是为了方便说明而举例而已,本发明所主张的权利范围自应以权利要求所述为准,而非仅限于上述实施例。

Claims (8)

1.一种显示面板,其特征在于,包含:
一基板;
一扫描线,设置于该基板上且沿一第一方向延伸;
一第一数据线,设置于该基板上,其中该第一数据线沿一第二方向延伸且与该扫描线交错,该第一方向不同于该第二方向;以及
一第一遮光金属图案,沿该第二方向延伸且设置于该第一数据线的一侧。
2.根据权利要求1所述的显示面板,其特征在于,还包括一第二遮光金属图案,沿该第二方向延伸且设置于该第一数据线的另一侧。
3.根据权利要求2所述的显示面板,其特征在于,该第一遮光金属图案和该第二遮光金属图案沿该第一方向上具有不同宽度。
4.根据权利要求1所述的显示面板,其特征在于,还包括:
一第二数据线,沿该第二方向延伸,其中该第一数据线与该第二数据线相邻且该第二数据线与该扫描线交错;以及
另一遮光金属图案,沿该第二方向延伸,其中该另一遮光金属图案设置于该第二数据线的一侧,该第一遮光金属图案和该另一遮光金属图案位于该第一数据线与该第二数据线之间。
5.根据权利要求4所述的显示面板,其特征在于,还包括一第三遮光金属图案,沿该第一方向延伸,且位于该第一数据线与该第二数据线之间,其中,该第三遮光金属图案连接于该第一遮光金属图案与该另一遮光金属图案之间。
6.根据权利要求1所述的显示面板,其特征在于,该扫描线和该第一遮光金属图案为相同层。
7.根据权利要求1所述的显示面板,其特征在于,该第一数据线和该第一遮光金属图案为不同层。
8.根据权利要求1所述的显示面板,其特征在于,还包括:
一电极垫,设置于该基板上;
一彩色滤光层,设置于该电极垫上;
一绝缘层,设置于该彩色滤光层上,且具有一开口以显露部分的该电极垫;以及
一电极层,经由该开口与该电极垫电性连接。
