Abstract

技术领域
本申请涉及可充气式的车辆保护装置,尤其是,一种可充气式膝盖保护垫。
背景技术
在遇到车辆突然减速时,为了保护车辆乘员的安全,而采用了可充气式膝盖保护垫。当车辆发生前部碰撞时,这些装置可延长乘员股骨的减速时间,并可控制上部躯干的运动。在碰撞中,为了使得保护垫与乘员的膝盖近早相碰,保护垫的碰撞表面从压缩状态变为膨胀状态。这就使得膝盖有更多的时间减速而达到车辆的最终速度。保护垫的碰撞表面最初呈收缩状,这样使得设计更加灵活,并且可增加乘员的进出空间。
现有的可充气式膝盖保护垫包括:一个可充气式空气袋,所述的空气袋夹在碰撞表面和反应表面之间。当触发充气机(70)时,空气袋的膨胀使得碰撞表面移动一预定的距离而到达到一激励位置。这个位置由反应碰撞表面之间的系链来确定。这些装置包括大量的部件和小零件,并且,需要仔细的安装。
人们希望提供一种更加简单的可充气式膝盖保护垫,并且,它的制造和安装成本都很低廉。
发明内容
本发明的目的是提供一种更加简单的可充气式膝盖保护垫,并且,它的制造和安装成本都很低廉。
一方面,本发明提供了一种用于乘客的可充气式保护垫,所述的保护垫具有一外壁,通过充气机70对可膨胀可膨胀腔充气,而使得该外壁从一收缩位置向外突出到一展开位置。可膨胀腔包括一整体的中空体,该中空体具有一外壁和一内壁,所述的内、外壁通过通常处于折叠状态的“U”型褶状物相连接。为了与车体相连,一调整翼片从可膨胀腔的顶部伸出,而另一调整翼片则从可膨胀腔的底部伸出。另外,外表面的底部可直接与车体相连。充气机70安装在中空体上,与中空体内部气体连通;通过充气机70对可膨胀体加压,褶状物打开,可膨胀体膨胀;进而,使得前壁向外突出至靠近乘客的展开位置。
按照本发明的另一个方面,气垫是一个可充气式膝盖保护垫,其具有一外壁,通过充气机对可膨胀腔的充气,使得所述的外壁向外突出到乘客膝盖的位置处。内、外壁在其底部通过一底壁相互连接;顶部和侧部通过一呈“U”型的褶状物而相连接,所述的褶状物沿着侧壁从底侧角向上延伸,并越过中空体的上部。顶部翼片是一易折翼片,该翼片被膨胀的可膨胀体折断,从而使得外壁绕底壁枢转并延伸。
更好的,用易折翼片上的系链来限制外壁的运动。同时,为了能控制随后的可膨胀体中的气体排放,也须有排放孔。中空体最好由聚丙烯吹塑而成。

具体实施方式
如图1所示,车辆20具有乘客室22,所述的乘客室包括前排座位24和驾驶员26。仪表板28在方向盘30的侧面。可充气式膝盖保护垫32安装在仪表板28的下面,并且紧邻驾驶员26的膝盖34。相似的装备也提供给乘客。最好如图8所示,膝盖保护垫32几乎埋入到仪表板28的下面。
如图2至图7所示,膝盖保护垫32包括一整体式的中空主体36,所述主体36由吹塑聚丙烯或其它的热塑性材料所组成。主体36包括:一前或外壁38;一分隔开的内壁40,所述的内壁40及外壁38通过一个底壁42相连接。在其顶部和侧部,外壁38和内壁40通过通常被折叠的倒置“U”型褶状物44和46而相互连接。
如附图5所示,一对横向加强筋48和50在内壁40处形成。通过向主体36的内部延伸,所述的加强筋与外壁38的后部相连接。如图7所示,一对整体下部调整翼片52和54从底壁42延伸,以便于通过螺栓56固定在仪表板28的底部。一对具有薄弱部60’和62’的整体上部调整翼片60和62从主体36向上延伸,以便于通过螺栓56固定在仪表板的底部58。通过螺栓56,系链64被紧固到上部调整翼片60和62的两端。
如图3和6所示,一可膨胀腔66在内壁40处形成,所述的可膨胀腔包括一用于与圆柱形的充气机70相连通的开口68,所述充气机70在72处与可膨胀腔66的上壁螺栓连接。如图3所示,内壁40还包括一对隔开的排放口76和78。在这种整体结构中,主体形成了一可膨胀腔80,除了具有排放口76和78之外,可膨胀腔是密封的。
当发生前部碰撞而导致车辆减速时,一减速传感器(图中未示)触发充气机70,充气机对主体36加压。翼片60和62在60’和62’处的折断以及折叠的褶状物44和46的打开使得主体36得以膨胀。膨胀之后的保护垫的外壁38向外突出到如图8所示邻近乘客的膝盖34处。系链64的长度限制了这个膨胀运动。因此,当车辆减速时,保护垫的外壁38处在与乘客膝盖34及小腿相接触的位置,从而增加了车辆减速时膝盖与小腿减速的时间。
可充气式膝盖保护垫的其他实施例在附图9至图11中示出,并且用附图标记132表示。图9至图11中与图1至图8的实施例中的相同或相似的部件,采用数字标号增加100的方式来表示。此处,主要的不同之处在于:包含有四个隔开的加强筋80、82、84和86,所述的加强筋形成在内壁140处。这些加强筋用以替代图1至图8的实施例中的加强筋48和50,并且,都是起到加强的作用。实施例的作用也是相同的。
因此,本发明提供一种更加简单的可充气式膝盖保护垫。虽然,仅仅描述了优选实施例,但是,在本发明的权利要求的保护范围内,还可有多种形式的改进。
例如,折叠褶状物可采用不同的方式:数量不同;形式不同;或者,它可连续的围绕在充气体的周围。充气体可应用在车辆上的其它部分,诸如用作侧面碰撞保护。说明书中虽然提到了使用聚丙烯材料,但是,也可使用其它材料。此外,也可不使用加强筋,并且,可折叠的褶状物也能限制外壁的向外运动。我们还可看到,如果需要的话,膝盖保护垫32的外壁38可以作为一裸露表面与仪表板28相配合,而无需其它罩。虽然上面详细描述了本发明的优选实施例,但应当清楚地懂得,这并没有限制本发明的保护范围,对在此所教导的基本发明构思的许多变化或修改,仍将落入由所附权利要求书限定的本发明的实质与范围之内。
Claims (10)
1.一种用于乘客的可充气式膝盖保护垫(32),所述的的保护垫(32)具有一外壁(38),通过充气机(70)对可膨胀腔充气,而使得其外壁(38)从一收缩位置向外突出到一靠近乘客膝盖的展开位置,其特征在于,可膨胀腔包含有一整体中空体(36),所述的中空体(36)包括:
一外壁(38)和一内壁(40),所述内壁(40)以及外壁(38)在底部通过一底壁(42)相互连接;在顶部和侧部,通过一通常呈折叠状态的“U”型褶状物(44,46)而相连接,所述的褶状物(44,46)沿着侧壁从底侧角向上延伸,并越过中空体(36)的上部,
至少一连接件(52),为了与车体相连,所述的连接件(52)由底壁(42)延伸,
至少一易折的调整翼片(60),为了将所述翼片(60)与车体相连,从而保持外壁(38)处于收缩状态,所述翼片(60)从所述外壁(38)的顶部伸出,和
所述的充气机(70),为了与可膨胀腔的内部进行气体交换,而将充气机(70)安装在中空体(36)上;然后,充气机(70)可选择地对可膨胀体加压,以便打开褶状物(44,46)、令可膨胀体膨胀、冲破易折翼片(60);进而使得前壁(38)向外突出到展开位置处。
2.如权利要求1所述的可充气式膝盖保护垫(32),其特征在于:所述整体中空体(36)采用吹塑聚丙烯材料。
3.如权利要求1所述的可充气式膝盖保护垫(32),其特征在于:在所述内壁(40)上形成有一个加强筋(48),所述的加强筋(48)穿过所述中空体(36)而伸向所述外壁(38)。
4.如权利要求3所述的可充气式膝盖保护垫(32),其特征在于:内壁(40)包括许多隔开的所述加强筋(48,50)。
5.如权利要求1所述的可充气式膝盖保护垫(32),其特征在于:所述壁(38,40)上至少具有一个排放口(76),以便于控制随后的所述中空体(36)中的压力降低。
6.如权利要求1所述的可充气式膝盖保护垫(32),其特征在于:所述易折翼片(60)具有被一易折部分(60′)分割的两端部,并且包括一系链(64),所述系链(64)通过与所述两端部的相连而限制所述外壁(38)向展开位置的运动。
7.一种用于乘客的可充气式膝盖保护垫(32),所述的的保护垫(32)具有一外壁(38),通过充气机(70)对可膨胀腔充气,而使得其外壁(38)从一收缩位置向外突出到一展开位置,其特征在于:
