Abstract

背景技术
互联网的普及导致通信网络的空前增长。消费者对服务的需求和日益加剧的竞争已导致网络提供商不断寻找在降低成本的同时提高服务质量的方法。
某些解决方案包括部署高密度互连面板。高密度互连面板可被设计为将支持快速增长的网络所需的不断增加的互连量整合为紧凑的形式,从而提高服务质量并降低成本,例如占地空间和支持开销。但是,高密度互连面板的部署尚未完全实现。
在诸如数据中心和交换网络之类的通信网络中,匹配连接器之间的许多互连可以被压缩成高密度面板。面板和连接器生产商可以通过缩小连接器尺寸和/或面板上相邻连接器之间的间距来优化这种高密度。虽然两种方法都可以有效地增加面板连接器的密度,但是缩小连接器的尺寸和/或间距也可能会增加支撑成本并降低服务质量。

本文所使用的连接器是指将第一模块或缆线连接到第二模块或缆线的设备和/或其部件。连接器可以构造成用于光纤传输或电信号传输。连接器可以是现在已知或以后开发的任何合适的类型,例如插芯连接器(FC)、光纤分布式数据接口(FDDI)连接器、LC连接器、机械传输(MT)连接器、四通道连接器(SC)连接器、SC双工连接器或笔直(ST)连接器。连接器通常可以由连接器壳体本体限定。在一些实施例中,壳体本体可以结合本文所述的任何或所有部件。
“光纤缆线”或“光缆”是指包含一根或多根用于在光束中传导光信号的光纤的缆线。光纤可以由任何合适的透明材料构成,包括玻璃、玻璃纤维和塑料。缆线可以包括围绕光纤的护套或护鞘材料。另外,缆线可以在缆线的一端或两端连接到连接器。
本文描述的各种实施例通常提供远程释放机构,使得用户可以移除在高密度面板上紧密间隔在一起的缆线组件连接器,而不会损坏周围的连接器、意外断开周围的连接器、破坏通过周围的连接器的传输和/或类似情况。各种实施例还提供了窄间距LC双工连接器和窄宽度多光纤连接器,例如,与未来的窄间距LCSFP和未来的窄宽度SFP一起使用。远程释放机构允许在窄间距LCSFP和窄宽度多光纤SFP的密集阵列中使用窄间距LC双工连接器和窄宽度多光纤连接器。

Claims (12)
1.一种推拉夹子,其包括:
第一端部;
所述第一端部还包括在第一表面处的开口,所述开口配置为接纳突起,所述突起是连接装置的一部分;并且
所述推拉夹子可释放地固定到缆线护套。
2.根据权利要求1所述的推拉夹子,其中所述缆线护套具有凹部,所述凹部配置为在所述推拉夹子的第二端部处接纳一对翼部。
3.一种光纤连接器,其包括:
推拉夹子,
所述推拉夹子配置为致动连接装置;
壳体,所述壳体包括至少一个套管和后本体;
缆线护套,所述缆线护套固定到所述推拉夹子;
并且其中所述缆线护套配置为围绕所述后本体纵向运动;从而,将所述光纤连接器从适配器释放。
4.根据权利要求3所述的光纤连接器,其中所述推拉夹子具有至少一个翼部。
5.根据权利要求4所述的光纤连接器,其中所述缆线护套具有至少一个凹部,所述至少一个凹部配置为接纳所述翼部,以将所述推拉夹子固定到所述缆线护套。
6.根据权利要求3所述的光纤连接器,其中所述推拉夹子不延伸超过所述缆线护套的柔性部分。
7.根据权利要求3所述的光纤连接器,其中所述推拉夹子通过所述翼部可移除地或永久地固定到所述缆线护套。
8.根据权利要求3所述的光纤连接器,其中所述缆线护套还包括在所述后本体的外表面上的凹部或切口。
9.根据权利要求8所述的光纤连接器,其中所述后本体还包括至少一个止挡面,用于限制所述缆线护套的突起的所述纵向运动,从而减少连接器的损坏。
10.一种光纤连接器,其形成权利要求3的构造。
11.一种从适配器释放光纤连接器的方法,所述方法包括:
提供根据权利要求10所述的光纤连接器;以及
从适配器壳体释放所述光纤连接器,这种释放是通过拉动所述缆线护套、缆线和所述推拉夹子中的一者进行的。
12.根据权利要求11所述的方法,其中,
将所述光纤连接器固定在适配器壳体内,这种固定是通过推动所述缆线护套和推拉夹子中的一者进行的。
