背景技术
互联网的普及导致通信网络的空前增长。消费者对服务的需求和日益激烈的竞争已使得网络提供商不断寻找在降低成本的同时提高服务质量的方法。

在诸如数据中心和交换网络的通信网络中,配合的连接器之间的许多互连可以被压缩为高密度面板。面板和连接器生产商可以通过缩小连接器尺寸和/或面板上相邻连接器之间的间距来优化这种高密度。虽然这两种方法都可以有效地增加面板连接器的密度,但是缩小连接器尺寸和/或间距也可能会增加保障成本并降低服务质量。

如本文所用,连接器是指将第一模块或线缆连接到第二模块或线缆的装置和/或其部件。连接器可以被构造用于光纤传输或电信号传输。连接器可以是现在已知或以后开发出的任何合适的类型,例如套筒连接器(FC)、光纤分布式数据接口(FDDI)连接器、LC连接器、机械传输(MT)连接器、方形连接器(SC)连接器、SC双工连接器或直触点(ST)连接器。连接器通常可以由连接器壳体的主体限定。在一些实施例中,壳体可以整合本文所述部件中的任何部件或所有部件。
“光纤线缆”或“光缆”是指包含一根或多根用于在光束中传导光信号的光纤的线缆。光纤可以由任何合适的透明材料构成,所述透明材料包括玻璃、玻璃纤维和塑料。线缆可以包括包围光纤的套管或护套材料。另外,线缆可以在线缆的一端或两端上连接到连接器。
本文所述的各种实施例通常提供一种远程释放机构,使得用户可以移除在高密度面板上紧密间隔地在一起的线缆组件连接器,而不会损坏周围的连接器、不会意外断开周围的连接器、不会干扰通过周围的连接器的传输等等。各种实施例还提供窄节距LC双工连接器和窄宽度多光纤连接器,例如,用来与未来的窄节距LC SFP和未来的窄宽度SFP一起使用。远程释放机构允许在窄节距LC SFP和窄宽度多光纤SFP的密集阵列中使用窄节距LC双工连接器和窄宽度多光纤连接器。

在将移除工具完全插入微型连接器的推/拉舌片8710的远端上之后(如图12所示),闩锁8775d被锁定至第一锁定凹部8775e.1中。这防止了释放臂8775从移除工具8770进一步向后运动,以防止移除工具无法工作。释放臂8775进一步包括释放臂突出部8775b,其中突出部8775d使得当释放臂8775向前或向近侧方向移动时,锁定臂8770c的锁定突出部8770c.1从凹部8773中移出,如图13所示。
参照图14,当释放臂8775向前移动时,闩锁8775d从第一锁定凹部8775e.1移出至第二锁定凹部8775e.2,并且在该位置中,释放臂处于解锁位置。在解锁位置中(参照图13),微型连接器不会从适配器(未显示)移除。在锁定位置中,如图14所示,当释放工具8770沿箭头“R”的方向移位时,释放臂将从适配器(未示出)移除微型连接器。仍然参照图14,随着释放臂8775向近侧运动,在释放臂锁定突出部向近侧移动到移除工具壳体8770a中时,释放臂锁定突出部8775d沿“F”方向弯曲离开,如图13所示。
图14包括锁定臂8770c。锁定臂8770c被集成到移除工具壳体8770a。锁定臂8770c还通过闩锁8775d连接到释放臂8775。在操作中,拉动或推动释放臂8775a,所述释放臂将锁定臂8770c的突出部8770c.1移入或移出凹部8773a。
图15描绘了多个微型连接器3700或5300,所述多个微型连接器包括多个释放臂8875,所述多个释放臂构造为非对称或偏移以便于接近。偏移的释放臂8875a比释放臂8875d更短或更接近移除工具8870。图15中的移除工具8870的操作与图13和图14中所示的移除工具8770相同。
图16﹣图19描绘了移除工具的第五实施例及其操作。图16描绘了移除工具组件8900,所述移除工具组件具有多个微型连接器3700,所述微型连接器具有推/拉舌片8910和位于舌片8910a至9810d的远端处的凹部8973。每个凹部8973a均具有一对壁(8973a.1,8973a.2)。
图17描绘了多个微型连接器3700,其中,图18的移除工具8975安装到图16的多个微型连接器的凹部8973a至8973d中。

Claims (20)

1.一种用于从适配器插座释放一个或多个光纤连接器的移除工具组件,所述移除工具组件包括:
每个光纤连接器还包括推/拉舌片,
所述推/拉舌片在其远端处具有凹部;
移除工具,所述移除工具还包括带有一个或多个释放臂的壳体;
所述移除工具固定在所述一个或多个光纤连接器的远端附近,
每个所述释放臂都具有释放臂突出部,并且
其中,所述释放臂突出部构造为被接收在所述推/拉舌片的所述凹部中,以用于从光纤连接器锁定和解锁所述释放臂,并且用于在所述移除工具向远侧移位时在所述光纤连接器的适配器插座内释放和保持所述光纤连接器。
2.根据权利要求1所述的用于从适配器插座释放一个或多个光纤连接器的移除工具组件,其中,向上和向下致动释放工具将所述释放臂从所述推/拉舌片的所述凹部的远端解锁。
3.根据权利要求2所述的用于从适配器插座释放一个或多个光纤连接器的移除工具组件,其中,向远侧移位所述移除工具使得与被致动的所述释放臂对准的光纤连接器从光纤连接器插座释放。
4.根据权利要求1所述的用于从适配器插座释放一个或多个光纤连接器的移除工具组件,其中,所述移除工具的壳体在靠近所述推/拉舌片的凹部的位置上闩锁到多个推/拉舌片。
5.根据权利要求4所述的用于从适配器插座释放一个或多个光纤连接器的移除工具组件,其中,所述释放臂与所述移除工具的壳体成一体。
6.一种用于从适配器插座中移除多个光学连接器的移除工具,所述移除工具包括:
移除工具壳体,其具有固定在所述移除工具壳体中的多个释放臂;
释放臂突出部,其位于每个释放臂的一侧上,所述释放臂从第一位置改变为第二位置;并且
其中第一释放臂处于所述第一位置,所述第一位置与所述第二位置相对,并且在所述第一位置中,释放臂突出部将释放臂锁定到第一光纤连接器,第二释放臂处于所述第二位置中,并且释放臂突出部将释放臂从第二光纤连接器解锁;并且
其中通过沿远侧方向移位所述移除工具,保持所述第一光纤连接器和所述第二光纤连接器以及从所述适配器插座中移除所述第一光纤连接器和所述第二光纤连接器。
7.根据权利要求6所述的移除工具,其中,所述多个释放臂被固定到所述移除工具壳体的外部。
8.根据权利要求6所述的移除工具,其中,所述多个释放臂被固定在所述移除工具壳体内。
9.根据权利要求6所述的移除工具,其中,所述释放臂上的所述释放臂突出部附接在所述释放臂的底部和顶部处。
10.根据权利要求9所述的移除工具,其中,所述移除工具壳体还包括与所述壳体成一体的闩锁,所述释放臂突出部将所述闩锁下压至推/拉舌片的凹部中,从而将光纤连接器锁定到所述移除工具。
11.根据权利要求10所述的移除工具,其中,当所述移除工具向远侧移位时,从所述适配器插座释放锁定的光纤连接器。
12.根据权利要求6所述的移除工具,其中,所述释放臂被固定到锁定臂,所述锁定臂还包括被接收在光纤的推/拉舌片的远端上的凹部内的锁定臂突出部。
13.一种用于从固定在适配器插座内的多个光纤连接器释放一个或多个光纤连接器的移除工具,所述移除工具包括:
移除工具壳体,其具有固定到所述移除工具壳体的一个或多个释放臂;
每个所述释放臂都固定到形成为每个光纤连接器的一部分的推/拉舌片的远端,
所述推/拉舌片构造为从光纤连接器对应的适配器插座释放所述光纤连接器;
所述移除工具将多个光纤连接器结队在一起;
第一释放臂处于第二位置,并且第二释放臂处于第一位置,
所述第一位置将释放臂锁定到所述推/拉舌片,所述第二位置将释放臂从推/拉舌片解锁;并且
其中沿远侧方向移位所述移除工具使得从所述适配器插座释放第一光纤连接器和第二光纤连接器。
14.根据权利要求13所述的用于从固定在适配器插座内的多个光纤连接器释放一个或多个光纤连接器的移除工具,其中,所述第一位置与所述第二位置相对。
15.一种产生权利要求13所述的构造的移除工具。
16.一种使用移除工具从适配器插座释放光纤连接器的方法,所述方法包括:
提供根据权利要求15所述的移除工具;
从所述适配器插座释放所述光纤连接器,其对应于向远侧移位所述移除工具壳体;和
将释放臂致动到第一位置或第二位置,从而允许所述移除工具从所述适配器插座释放所述光纤连接器。
17.根据权利要求16所述的使用移除工具从适配器插座释放光纤连接器的方法,其中,将释放臂固定到推/拉舌片使得从所述适配器插座移除所述光纤连接器。
18.根据权利要求16所述的使用移除工具从适配器插座释放光纤连接器的方法,其中,将释放臂从推/拉舌片释放防止从所述适配器插座释放所述光纤连接器。
19.一种移除工具,包括:
主体;
多个柔性臂对;
每个臂在第一端处具有倒角;
每个臂的倒角均构造为与构造为接收所述臂对的凹部上的壁接合,
所述凹部位于推/拉舌片的远端处,所述推/拉舌片从适配器插座释放光纤连接器。
其中所述倒角帮助将所述臂对引导到所述凹部中,所述臂对向内压缩并且一旦穿过所述凹部就扩展,以便将所述移除工具固定到一队光纤连接器的远端,当拉动所述光纤连接器中的一个或多个光纤连接器时,所述移除工具帮助从适配器插座中释放所有的光纤连接器。
20.一种移除工具,包括:
主体;
位于所述主体的远端处的凹部;
成对的延伸器臂,
每个所述延伸器臂具有一个翼部;并且
其中,所述翼部构造成固定到第二凹部中,从而延伸推/拉舌片。
