The world health organization surveys show that 27% of people worldwide have sleep problems, with the middle aged and elderly people being the majority. The incidence rate of insomnia in people over 65 years old is 20-50%. With the continuous rising of the sleep disorder rate, the attention of people to sleep is gradually improved, thereby promoting the rapid development of the sleep economy in China. According to data statistics, the whole Chinese sleep market has reached the size of 3203 billion yuan by 2018. Therefore, the sleeping problem is a huge problem which besets contemporary people and has huge demand groups.

The invention provides a composition and a beverage for improving sleep and a preparation method thereof, aiming at solving the problem of low sleep quality of people.

the first scheme is as follows: a composition for improving sleep comprises semen Ziziphi Spinosae, Poria, Ginseng radix, Glycyrrhrizae radix and gamma-aminobutyric acid.
The composition comprises the following components in parts by weight: 100 parts of spina date seed, 100 parts of poria cocos, 75 parts of ginseng, 75 parts of liquorice and 35 parts of gamma-aminobutyric acid.

s4, mixing the solution I and the solution II, adding a stabilizer and crystal sugar powder, adding hot water, and dissolving to form a solution III;
s5, adding sodium citrate and sodium erythorbate into the solution III, adding water to dissolve and stir to form a solution IV;
s6, adding vitamin C and citric acid into the solution IV, adding water and stirring to form a solution V;
s7, adding the traditional Chinese medicine extract obtained in the step S1 into the solution V, and adding water for dissolving;
s8, adding gamma-aminobutyric acid;
s9, finally adding potassium sorbate, and adding water for dissolution;

Can promote brain activation, strengthen brain, tranquilize mind, resist epilepsy, and promote sleep; has effects in caring skin, delaying aging, and supplementing inhibitory neurotransmitter; promoting kidney function improvement and protection; inhibiting fatty liver and obesity, and activating liver function; has good function of lowering blood pressure, and the supplement of trace gamma-aminobutyric acid every day is beneficial to the relief of hypertension and can not break the balance of amino acid metabolism in a human body.

The water adding proportion in the steps S2-S9 is respectively as follows: the water adding proportion in the steps S2-S9 is respectively as follows according to parts by weight: 5 parts, 10 parts, 5 parts and 1.5 parts.
