当驱动齿轮302沿第一方向306被驱动时,臂312可以沿第一方向306被啮合结构314推动。当这发生时,臂312相对于离合器基座310初始移动一定量,而离合器基座310是静止的。由于如图3b所示的螺旋弹簧在齿轮轴304上的取向,这种移动导致离合器基座310围绕齿轮轴304松弛。沿第一方向306推动臂312在反方向上拉动弹簧线的相对端(臂312和固定于齿轮轴304的相对端),导致弹簧线圈的部分展开(松弛)。这会减小离合器基座310和齿轮轴304之间的摩擦扭矩,允许离合器基座310抵靠齿轮轴304滑移,而离合器基座310和齿轮轴304之间的夹持力更小。在弹簧座处于这种松弛配置下离合器基座310绕齿轮轴304旋转,驱动切割刀片104沿向前方向旋转。
另一方面,当驱动齿轮302沿第二方向308旋转时,臂312沿第二方向308被推动。臂312沿第二方向110相对于离合器基座310初始移动。由于螺旋弹簧在齿轮轴304上的如图3b所示的取向,这导致离合器基座310围绕齿轮轴304紧缩,从而在轴304上施加抓紧力。沿第二方向推动臂312推动弹簧线的相对端(臂312和固定于齿轮轴304的相对端),导致螺旋弹簧缩紧。这增加了离合器基座310和齿轮轴304之间的摩擦扭矩。在弹簧座处于这种缩紧配置下,离合器基座310绕齿轮轴304旋转,驱动切割刀片104沿向后方向旋转。
沿第二方向308(离合器基座310处于缩紧配置)的摩擦扭矩因此大于沿第一方向306(离合器基座处于松弛配置)的摩擦扭矩。沿第二方向的较大摩擦扭矩导致驱动杆303的一些旋转运动转化为切割器模块100绕轴线303a朝向停止位置的旋转运动。沿第二方向110施加到驱动齿轮302外部的扭矩的一部分没有转化为驱动齿轮302的旋转。这导致切割器模块100沿箭头316所示的方向围绕轴线303a朝向停止位置旋转。
上述的第一示例性切割器模块100包括与啮合结构408相啮合的臂312。图4示意性图示了切割器模块100的第二示例,在第二示例中,离合器106包括与驱动齿轮302的第二啮合结构404相啮合的第一离合器结构402,以及与驱动齿轮302的第二啮合结构408相啮合的第二离合器结构406。
在本示例中,第一离合器结构402和第二离合器结构406是第一臂402和第二臂406形式的突起。第一啮合结构404可以是驱动齿轮302的表面上的例如突起的结构,当驱动齿轮302沿第一方向306旋转时,该结构与第一臂402相啮合。第二啮合结构408可以是驱动齿轮302的表面上的例如突起的结构,当驱动齿轮302沿第二方向308旋转时,该结构抓取第二臂406。在本示例中,驱动齿轮沿第一方向和第二方向的旋转均会导致离合器基座310的松弛。
第一臂402可以比第二臂406具有更大的长度。这意味着,当第一臂402沿第一方向306被第一啮合结构404推动时,施加以促使离合器基座310沿第一方向306旋转的力矩,大于当第二臂406沿第二方向308被第二啮合结构408推动时(对于施加到驱动齿轮302的相同大小的驱动力)施加以促使离合器基座310沿第二方向308旋转的力矩。
由于施加在第一臂402和第二臂406上的相应力矩的这种差异(因此,在相反方向上以相同的驱动大小施加在第一臂402和第二臂406上的力矩),离合器基座310在第一臂402沿第一方向306被推动时比在第二臂406沿第二方向308被推动时更松弛。这导致沿第二方向308的旋转摩擦扭矩比沿第一方向306的更大。因此,切割器104可以轻松地沿向前切割方向转向,而沿向后方向110的旋转伴随有足够的以与上述相同的方式驱动切割器模块100朝向停止位置旋转的摩擦扭矩。
根据上述的示例,驱动302沿第二方向308的力矩沿向后方向驱动切割器刀片104,同时伴随着切割器模块100朝向停止位置的力矩。在打印过程中,打印介质可以向后移动,例如,沿与向前前进方向318相反的方向。在沿前进方向而不是沿向后方向实现驱动切割器刀片的旋转的系统中,沿向后方向的驱动则会导致切割器模块朝向停止位置运动而不是导致切割器旋转,向后的运动会例如引起对打印介质的损坏或者切割器模块或打印系统的部件阻塞。因为根据本文描述的示例的切割器模块100使切割器104沿向后方向110旋转,所以可以防止或减轻这种损坏或阻塞。
图5示出了打印系统200的部件。图5示出了包括驱动杆303的打印系统200的驱动机构502。在该示例中,有两个切割器模块100连接至驱动机构502。所示的切割器模块100可以是如上述任何示例中所述的。如上所述,驱动杆303的旋转驱动切割器模块100的齿轮302旋转以驱动切割器刀片104。
可以使用图5所示的部件来执行使用切割器模块100的方法。驱动机构502可以使切割器模块100从切割位置(如图5所示)移动到停止位置(未示出),以及切割器模块100的切割器104在朝向停止位置的运动期间沿向后方向110(与向前切割方向108相反)旋转。
例如,驱动杆303被驱动旋转,因而切割器模块100沿箭头316所示的方向朝向停止位置旋转。同时切割器模块100的驱动齿轮302沿第二方向308旋转(被驱动杆303的旋转所驱动),并导致各自的切割器104沿向后方向110旋转。这种方法可以,例如,在与驱动机构502相连的任何数量的切割器模块上执行。

Claims (15)

1.一种应用于打印装置的切割器模块,所述切割器模块包括:
刀片驱动机构;和
被所述刀片驱动机构所驱动的旋转切割刀片,
其中所述刀片驱动机构包括:
选择性地使所述刀片驱动机构沿向前切割方向或向后方向驱动所述旋转切割刀片的离合器机构。
2.根据权利要求1所述的切割器模块,其中,当所述离合器机构使所述刀片驱动机构沿所述向后方向驱动所述旋转切割刀片时,所述切割器模块被促使朝向停止位置以及远离切割位置旋转。
3.根据权利要求1所述的切割器模块,其中:
所述刀片驱动机构包括可操作地连接至所述离合器机构和所述旋转切割刀片的齿轮;
所述齿轮安装在齿轮轴上;并且
所述离合器机构与所述齿轮啮合,并包括用以安装在所述齿轮轴上的离合器基座。
4.根据权利要求3所述的切割器模块,其中,所述旋转切割刀片的旋转运动由所述离合器基座围绕所述齿轮轴的旋转运动实现。
5.根据权利要求3所述的切割器模块,其中,所述齿轮沿第一方向的旋转运动引起所述旋转切割刀片沿所述向前切割方向的旋转运动,并且所述齿轮沿第二方向的旋转运动引起所述旋转切割刀片沿所述向后方向的旋转运动。
6.根据权利要求5所述的切割器模块,其中,
所述离合器基座与所述齿轮轴之间的与所述齿轮绕所述齿轮轴沿所述第二方向的旋转运动相反的摩擦扭矩是这样的,当所述齿轮被所述打印装置的驱动机构沿所述第二方向驱动时:
所述切割器模块被促使朝向停止位置以及远离切割位置旋转;并且
所述齿轮沿所述第二方向旋转。
7.根据权利要求6所述的切割器模块,其中,所述离合器基座与所述齿轮轴之间的与所述齿轮绕所述齿轮轴沿所述第二方向的旋转运动相反的摩擦扭矩,大于所述离合器基座与所述齿轮轴之间的与所述齿轮绕所述齿轮轴沿所述第一方向的旋转运动相反的摩擦扭矩。
8.根据权利要求7所述的切割器模块,其中:
当所述齿轮被所述打印装置的所述驱动机构沿所述第一方向驱动时,所述离合器基座绕所述齿轮轴松弛;并且
当所述齿轮被所述打印装置的所述驱动机构沿所述第二方向驱动时,所述离合器基座绕所述齿轮轴缩紧。
9.根据权利要求8所述的切割器模块,其中所述离合器基座包括螺旋弹簧。
10.根据权利要求3所述的切割器模块,其中所述离合器机构包括用于与所述齿轮的第一啮合结构相啮合的第一离合器结构。
11.根据权利要求10所述的切割器模块,其中所述离合器机构包括用于与所述齿轮的第二啮合结构相啮合的第二离合器结构。
12.根据权利要求11所述的切割器模块,其中:
当所述第二离合器结构与所述第二啮合结构相啮合时所述离合器基座与所述齿轮轴之间的与所述齿轮绕所述齿轮轴的旋转运动相反的摩擦扭矩,大于当所述第一离合器结构与所述第一啮合结构相啮合时所述离合器基座与所述齿轮轴之间的与所述齿轮绕所述齿轮轴的旋转运动相反的摩擦扭矩;并且
所述第二离合器结构比所述第二离合器结构具有更大的长度。
13.一种打印系统,包括:
用于切割打印介质的切割单元,所述切割单元包括旋转切割器和用于使所述旋转切割器旋转的切割器致动机构,
其中:
所述切割器致动机构包括选择性地使所述切割器致动机构致使所述旋转切割器沿向前方向或向后方向旋转的离合器。
14.根据权利要求13所述的打印系统,其中,当所述离合器使所述切割器致动机构致使所述旋转切割器沿所述向后方向旋转时,所述切割单元被致使朝向静止位置并远离活动位置旋转。
15.一种用于打印装置的切割器模块的使用方法,包括:
所述打印装置的驱动机构使所述切割器模块从切割位置移向静止位置,并在移动过程中使所述切割器模块的旋转切割刀片沿向后方向旋转,所述向后方向与向前切割方向相反。
