润滑剂
本发明总的涉及在诸如印模冲压的切割铝片的金属成型工艺使用的润滑剂。更具体的是,本发明涉及挥发有机化合物(VOC)含量减少的润滑剂,它适于用在制造散热片和管式热交换器中使用的散热片的散热片压床中。
散热片和管式热交换器一般用在空调、制冷和引擎冷却设备中,散热片通过增加外部传热面积来改善热交换机的热性能。在制冷和空调的应用中,散热片通常用薄型的铝片或铝条生产,在大规模的生产中,在称作散热片压床的机器上通过印模冲压、冲压及成型将片或条制成散热片。由于在许多金属成型机和工艺中,在散热片压制操作前和操作时,对金属料的润滑能提高产量,成品的质量更佳,并增加工具的寿命。
一种过去用在散热片加工中的润滑剂是矿物油,适当粘度的矿物油有优秀的润滑性质。但是在完成散热片压制操作后矿物油作为残留物涂覆在散热片上,此残留物在接着进行的制造工序前必须除去,通常用来从散热片上除去油的清洁剂会带来严重的环境问题,如消除臭氧以及大气和地下水的污染。适当的贮存、处理和弃置这类清洁剂很困难且昂贵。
另一个过去为了避免矿物油润滑剂所有问题而采用的润滑剂是加有较少量表面活性剂和润滑增强剂溶剂油。该类型的润滑剂在施用后迅速蒸发而不留下残留物,这样消除了接着除去润滑剂的需要。然而,这类润滑剂的润滑性能极差。即使用大量基于溶剂油的润滑剂,用于散热片压制的工具寿命与使用矿物油压制的性能相比大为减少。另外,溶剂油是挥发有机化合物(VOC)。VOC现被认为是大气污染物,对它的排放有严格的规定和控制。
所需的是一种用在散热片压机或相似机器中的润滑剂,与过去的润滑剂相比它具有更好的润滑性能,在压制成品上几乎没有或没有残留物,而且其VOC含量更低。
本发明是用在散热片压机或相似机器中的改进的润滑剂,它很大程度地克服了过去所用润滑剂的缺陷。
改进的润滑剂是溶剂油,少量表面活性剂以及极端压力润滑添加剂油以及一种或多种选自聚异丁烯和烯基二醇的有机化合物的混合物。混合物较好的重量比例是70%(重量)无嗅溶剂油,10%(重量)表面活性剂和润滑剂,20%(重量)选出的有机化合物。
本发明的润滑剂是溶剂油、表面活性剂和润滑添加剂以及一种或多种选自聚异丁烯和烯基二醇有机化合物的混合物。混合物较好的比例是,按重量计,70%无嗅溶剂油、10%表面活性剂和润滑添加剂以及20%选出的有机化合物。
选择的有机化合物具有长链分子结构,这可使润滑剂有良好的润滑性能,从而延长了散热片压制工具的寿命。另处,它们蒸发只留下少量残留物。这些残留物不影响接着的制造工序,但若需要,残留物可用水基清洗剂容易地除去。选出的聚异丁烯的分子量应为320—460。选出的烯基二醇应有一个端羟基,在100℃下粘度范围是65—1717 Saybolt Universal Seconds(S.U.S.).有这些性质的选出的化合物较好,因为它们容易与溶剂油相混溶。在特定的润滑剂批中不必只用单个的选出的化合物,而可以用一种、两种或多种选出的化合物,使其总量达到较好的重量比例,这样能制成一种满意的润滑剂。
聚异丁烯和烯基二醇相对较贵。但是这些化合物的润滑性能远远地优于溶剂油。因此,随着有机化合物在润滑剂混合物中的比例增加,其性能和成本都将增加。由于润滑剂的性能有很大的提高,因此含有选择有机化合物的润滑剂用量与过去使用的基于溶剂油的散热片压制润滑剂相比明显减少。使用本发明的润滑剂和过去的润滑剂时,润滑剂的总成本的差异并没有表面看上去那么大,使用润滑剂的总成本甚至更低。
含有80%选择的化合物、10%其它添加剂及剩余量的溶剂油的润滑剂将具有优秀的润滑性能,低的用量及极低的VOC挥发量,但相对贵些。另外,若不先除去在压制产品上的残留物可能影响金属的涂装。当优先考虑润滑性能、低使用量及成本不太重要时,或压制产品不需要油漆时,这类润滑剂是合适的。
当人们考虑润滑性能、成本、VOC挥发量及不清洗时的可涂性时,20%的选择的化合物、70%溶剂油及10%其它添加剂的配比会有一个好的结果。这类比例的混合物仍含有大量溶剂油。由于这类润滑剂的润滑性能有极大的改进,故它的用量与基于溶剂油的散热片压制润滑剂相比要少得多。在使用润滑剂的制造过程中,VOC的挥发量明显低于以前。
该润滑剂用公知的间歇式混合工艺可以容易地制得。极端压力润滑添加剂和表面活性剂与可从Chem Arrow Corporation Inter-national of Irwindale,California购得的8191FR基于溶剂油的散热片压制润滑剂中所含的专用添加剂相同,并可从该公司购得。

Claims (5)

1.一种润滑剂,包括溶剂油和一种或多种选自分子量320—460的聚异丁烯,有一个端羟基及100℃下粘度在65—1715 Saybolt U-nivversal Seconds(S.U.S.)的烯基二醇的化合物的混合物。
2.如权利要求1所述的润滑剂,其中所述混合含有20—80%(重量)所述选择的化合物。
3.如权利要求1所述的润滑剂,其中在所述混合物中所述选择的化合物比例是20—80%(重量),还有8—12%(重量)其它液体添加剂,并且所述混合物的剩余物是溶剂油。
4.如权利要求3所述的润滑剂,其中所述的其它液体添加剂包括表面活性剂以及极端压力润滑添加剂。
5.如权利要求1所述的润滑剂,其中在所述混合物中所述选择的化合物的比例是18—20%(重量),还有8—12%(重量)其它添加剂,余量是溶剂油。
