Abstract

背景技术
与液晶显示器(LCD)相比,有机发光二极管(OLED)显示器由于其更快的响应时间、更大的视角、更高的对比度、更轻的重量、更低的功耗以及对柔性基板的适应性,近年来在显示器应用中引起了极大的兴趣。
OLED显示器可以由发光器件的阵列构成,每个发光器件由单独的电路(即,像素电路)控制并且根据显示信息发光,所述像素电路包括用于选择性地控制用显示信息进行编程的电路的晶体管。可以将制造在基板上的薄膜晶体管(TFT)合并到此类显示器中,因为TFT的重量轻、光敏性高且没有图像失真。然而,随着显示器的老化,TFT易于随着时间的流逝而在显示面板上表现出不均匀的特性。可以将补偿技术应用于此类显示器,以实现整个显示器上的图像均匀性,并解决随着显示器老化而导致的显示器劣化。
一些用于向显示器提供补偿以解决整个显示面板的随时间的变化的方案利用监测系统来测量与像素电路的老化(即劣化)相关的时变参数(time dependent parameter)。测量的信息随后能够用于通知像素电路的后续编程,以确保通过对编程进行调整来解决任何测量到的劣化。但是,常规监测的像素电路利用像素电路特性作为光源强度或亮度的间接测量,例如驱动晶体管电流、驱动晶体管阈值电压、发光器件的操作电压等。
本发明的一个目的是通过提供对光源亮度的直接测量来克服现有技术的缺点,所述光源亮度可以被转换为数字代码以供数字控制器用于补偿每个像素。
发明内容
因此,本发明涉及一种显示器,其包括:

本发明的另一方面涉及一种显示器,其包括:

反馈电容器218可以连接在节点B 224和节点A 222之间。因此,反馈电容器218连接在发光器件214的阳极端子(节点B)和驱动晶体管212的栅极端子(节点A)之间。反馈电容器218可以在发光器件214与驱动晶体管212的栅极端子之间提供电容耦合(capacitivecoupling)。例如,节点B 224处的电压增大(例如,由于发光器件的开启电压增大)经由反馈电容器218的电容耦合导致在节点A处的电压相应地增大。此外,在驱动操作期间发光器件214的阳极端子(在节点B 224处)的电压变化会在驱动晶体管212的栅极端子处(在节点A222处)产生相应的电压变化。

参考图2、3和4,每个像素电路22包括入射光检测器电路300(1)(1)至300(n)(m),入射光检测器电路包含用于测量发光器件214的亮度的光检测器301(例如,光电二极管)和用于将测量的亮度选择性地传输到数据驱动器14中的读出电路15的开关302(例如,薄膜晶体管TFT)。数字控制器16将光检测器控制信号3051至305n发送至栅极驱动器12,以分别使用RD线RD(1)至RD(n)顺序地每一次对显示面板20中的一行像素22(即,发光器件214)的光检测器电路300(1)(1)至300(n)(m)寻址。RD线RD(1)至RD(n)上的光检测器控制信号逐行地连续激活每行像素中的开关302,从而使每个光检测器301通过相应的监测线VMON(1)至VMON(m)(即,对于像素22的每一列有一条监测线)能够将与相应发光器件214的亮度相对应的光检测器电流信号传输到设置在读出电路15中的相应电流积分器3061至306m(例如,针对各像素22列的一个电流积分器3061至306m)。每个电流积分器3061至306m被构造为将每个光检测器电流信号转换成对应的光检测器电压信号。每个电流积分器3061至306m可以包括放大器311,其被构造为在第一输入处接收光检测器电流信号,并且在第二输入处接收来自控制器16的偏置控制电压VB。偏置控制VB是参考电压,用于设定监测线VMON(1)至VMON(m)上的电压Vmon从而获得光检测器电流信号值的目标范围或期望范围。反馈电容器C1可以设置在输出与第一输入之间。复位开关φreset可设置为与反馈电容器并联,以复位电容器上的偏压,即放电。
由于同时传输多个(m个)光检测器电流信号(即,来自整个像素22的行),在读出电路15中设置有用于一次选择一个光检测器电流信号或一个光检测器电压信号以传输到模数转换器(ADC)的多路转接器307308,该模数转换器将每个光检测器电压信号转换成例如10至16位的数字代码的数字信号。多路转接器307可以包括多个开关φ1至φm,即,每个电流积分器3061至306m和每一列对应一个开关。开关φ1至φm可以位于电流积分器3061至306m之前(图4)或之后(图3),即,用于将光检测器电流信号选择性地传递到电流积分器3061至306m或将光检测器电压信号选择性地传递到ADC308。
然后,可以将数字信号发送到数字控制器16进行进一步处理,例如,认证每个发光器件214是否在期望或预定参数范围内运行,或者将选择的编程信号修改(例如增加或减少)为在期望或预定参数内不运行的像素22,例如,说明了通过低于预期的光检测器电流信号电平的劣化。
参考图5,栅极驱动器12通过RD(1)将第一光检测器控制信号3051传输到第一行的光检测器电路300(1)(1)至300(1)(m),以持续长到足以使数字控制器16激活多路转接器307以顺序地激活开关φ1至φm的时间,即,持续m个时间周期,从而使来自第一像素行中的每个像素22的每个光检测器300(1)(1)至300(1)(m)的每个光检测器电压信号被ADC308转换为数字信号。在第一光检测器控制信号3051被关断后,用于第二行的激活光检测器电路300(2)(1)至300(2)(m)的第二光检测器控制信号3052从栅极驱动器12发出并持续长到足以使数字控制器16再次激活多路转接器307以顺序地激活开关φ1至φm的时间,即,持续m个时间周期,从而使来自第二像素行的每个像素22的每个光检测器电路300(2)(1)至300(2)(m)的每个光检测器电压信号被ADC308转换为数字信号。在每个开关φ1至φm使来自整个像素行的光检测器电流或光检测器电压信号通过之后,栅极驱动器12随即顺序地关断前一个光检测器控制信号305i并开启下一个光检测器控制信号305i+1,直到来自所有行的像素22的所有光检测器电路300(1)(1)至300(1)(m)的所有光检测器电流信号都已转换为数字信号。
因此,参考图6,监测排列成多行和多列的多个像素22(其中,每个像素22包括一个相应的发光器件214)的方法包括第一步骤501,其中,通过包含光探测器301的光探测器电路电路300(i)(i)针对一像素行中的每个像素生成与相应的发光器件214的亮度相对应的光探测器电流信号。接下来,在步骤502中,利用多个电流积分器3061至306m将光检测器电流信号转换成光检测器电压信号,每个像素列22使用一个电流积分器306i。然后在步骤503中,利用多路转接器307从光检测器电路300(i)(i)的每一行中每次顺序地选择一个光检测器电流信号或一个光检测器电压信号。最终,在步骤504中,将光检测器电压信号转换为指示发光器件214的亮度的数字信号。然后可以针对像素22的每行重复一遍该方法,直到已在数字控制器16中针对像素22的每一行生成和/或记录了光检测器电流信号、光检测器电压信号和相应的数字信号为止。
该方法可以进一步包括步骤505a,其中利用被构造用于接收数字信号的数字控制器16对每个发光器件214进行认证,以确保每个发光器件214在预定参数内运行。
可替代地,该方法可包括步骤505b,其中利用被构造用于接收数字信号的数字控制器16对在预定参数之外运行的像素22的选择的编程信号进行修改。

Claims (20)
1.一种显示器,其包括:
排列成多个像素行和多个像素列的多个像素,每个所述像素包括相应的发光器件和含有光电检测器的光检测器电路,所述光电检测器用于生成与所述相应的发光器件的亮度相对应的光检测器电流信号;
栅极驱动器,所述栅极驱动器被构造为每次分别从所述多个像素之中激活一行所述像素的所述光检测器电路;
多个电流积分器,所述多个电流积分器被构造为将所述光检测器电流信号转换为光检测器电压信号,每一列所述像素对应一个所述电流积分器;
多路转接器,其被构造为当所述栅极驱动器激活每一行所述像素时,每次从各行所述像素中顺序地选择一个所述光检测器电流信号或一个所述光检测器电压信号;和
模数转换器,所述模数转换器用于每次将一个所述光检测器电压信号转换为指示所述发光器件的亮度的数字信号。
2.根据权利要求1所述的显示器,其中,所述栅极驱动器被构造为在第一时间期间内同时激活在所述多个像素行之中的第一行中的所述光检测器电路;和
其中,所述多路转接器被构造为在所述第一时段期间每次从所述多个像素行的第一行中顺序选择一个所述光检测器电流信号或一个所述光检测器电压信号。
3.根据权利要求1所述的显示器,其中,每个所述光检测器电路包括光电二极管和薄膜晶体管,所述光电二极管被构造用于产生所述光检测器电流信号,所述薄膜晶体管被构造用于开启和关断与一个所述电流积分器的连接。
4.根据权利要求1所述的显示器,其中,所述多路转接器包括多个开关,各所述像素列分别对应一个所述开关。
5.根据权利要求1所述的显示器,其还包括数字控制器,所述数字控制器被构造用于接收所述数字信号并认证每个所述发光器件是否在预定参数内运行。
6.根据权利要求1所述的显示器,其还包括数字控制器,所述数字控制器被构造为接收所述数字信号并针对在预定参数之外运行的所述像素修改选择的编程信号。
7.根据权利要求1所述的显示器,其中,每个所述电流积分器包括放大器和反馈电容器,所述放大器被构造为在第一输入处接收所述光检测器电流信号并且在第二输入处接收参考信号,所述反馈电容器设置在所述放大器的输出与所述第一输入之间。
8.根据权利要求7所述的显示器,其中,每个所述电流积分器还包括与所述反馈电容器并联设置并用于使所述反馈电容器复位的复位开关。
9.一种显示器,其包括:
排列成多行和多列的多个像素,每个像素包括相应的发光器件和具有光电检测器的光检测器电路,所述光电检测器用于产生与所述相应的发光器件的亮度相对应的光检测器电流信号;
栅极驱动器,其被构造为在第一时间期间内同时激活在多个像素行之中的第一行中的所述光检测器电路,并在经过第一时间期间之后的第二时间期间内同时激活在所述多个像素行之中的第二行中的所述光检测器电路;
多个电流积分器,所述多个电流积分器用于将所述光检测器电流信号转换为光检测器电压信号,每个像素列对应一个所述电流积分器;
多路转接器,所述多路转接器被构造为在所述第一时间期间内一次从所述多个像素行的所述第一行中顺序地选择一个所述光检测器电流信号或所述光检测器电压信号,并且被构造为在所述第二时间期间内一次从所述多个像素行的所述第二行中顺序地选择一个所述光检测器电流信号或所述光检测器电压信号;和
模数转换器,所述模数转换器用于将所述光检测器电压信号转换为指示发光器件的亮度的数字信号的模数转换器。
10.根据权利要求9所述的显示器,其中,每个所述光检测器电路包括:被构造用于产生所述光检测器电流信号的光电二极管;以及被构造用于开启和关断与一个所述电流积分器的连接的薄膜晶体管。
11.根据权利要求9所述的显示器,其中,所述多路转接器包括多个开关,各所述像素列分别对应一个开关。
12.根据权利要求9所述的显示器,其还包括数字控制器,所述数字控制器被构造为接收所述数字信号并认证每个发光器件是否在预定参数内运行。
13.根据权利要求9所述的显示器,其还包括数字控制器,所述数字控制器被构造为接收所述数字信号并且针对在预定参数之外运行的所述像素修改选择的编程信号。
14.根据权利要求9所述的显示器,其中,每个所述电流积分器包括放大器和反馈电容器,所述放大器被构造为在第一输入处接收所述光检测器电流信号并在第二输入处接收参考信号,所述反馈电容器设置在所述放大器的输出与所述第一输入之间。
15.根据权利要求14所述的显示器,其中,每个所述电流积分器还包括与所述反馈电容器并联设置并用于使所述电容器复位的复位开关。
16.一种监测以多个像素行和多个像素列排列的多个像素的方法,每个所述像素包括相应的发光器件和含有相应的光电检测器的相应的光检测器电路,所述方法包括:
a)利用所述相应的光电检测器为所述多个像素行之中的一行中的每个像素生成与所述相应的发光器件的亮度相对应的光探测器电流信号;
b)利用多个电流积分器将所述光检测器电流信号转换成光检测器电压信号,所述多个像素列之中的每一列对应一个所述电流积分器;
c)利用多路转接器每次从所述多个像素行之中的一行顺序地选择一个所述光检测器电流信号或所述光检测器电压信号;
d)利用模数转换器每次将一个所述光检测器电压信号转换为指示所述发光器件的亮度的数字信号;和
e)对所述多个像素行之中的各者重复步骤a)至d)。
17.根据权利要求16所述的方法,其中,在第一时间期间内,在所述多个像素行之中的第一行中同时激活所述光检测器电路;和
其中,所述多路转接器在所述第一时间期间内一次从所述多个像素行之中的所述第一行顺序地选择一个所述光检测器电流信号或所述光检测器电压信号。
18.根据权利要求16所述的方法,其中,每个所述光检测器电路包括光电二极管和薄膜晶体管,所述光电二极管被构造用于产生所述光检测器电流信号,所述薄膜晶体管被构造用于开启和关断与一个所述电流积分器的连接。
19.根据权利要求16所述的方法,其还包括:利用被构造为接收所述数字信号的数字控制器认证每个所述发光器件是否在预定参数内运行。
20.根据权利要求16所述的方法,其还包括:利用被构造为接收所述数字信号的数字控制器针对在预定参数之外运行的所述像素修改选择的编程信号。
