Description
Technical Field
The invention belongs to a composition in the technical field of cosmetic compositions, and particularly relates to a novel anti-acne composition and application thereof in cosmetics.
Background
Propionibacteria are so named because they produce propionic acid, but in fact they are symbiotic on the skin of most healthy adults. Atopic dermatitis and psoriasis in the diseased state, the number of propionibacterium acnes is decreasing and increasing after treatment. The protective role of symbiotic states is largely unexplored and poorly understood. The skin microbiome of elderly healthy individuals is similar to that of younger healthy individuals and contains a large amount of propionibacterium acnes, which has the effect of maintaining healthy skin. Propionibacterium acnes have different genotypes, some are beneficial to the skin and some are harmful.
Propionibacterium acnes is the only bacterium capable of metabolizing our sebum because it secretes lipases, which can break down fatty acids, and secretes lipases to digest their primary energy source, sebum. Since propionibacteria play an important role in skin health, effective acne treatments should not target the killing of all propionibacteria as in current methods of treating acne, but should target pathogenic strains, or maintain or supplement beneficial strains, to maintain the health of the skin. Therefore, the development of a novel anti-acne product has good market application prospect.
