技术领域
本发明涉及滚动元件轴承领域,特别是涉及带有涂层的滚动元件轴承。
背景技术
滚动元件轴承应用于各种不同环境下。只要润滑可以被保证,它们一般都可以达到其正常的设计寿命。
然而,在不良或临界润滑条件下,滚动元件轴承的运行情况就不太十分有利了。在这种情况下,可能会被证明,已经不可能形成一润滑膜,从而产生滚动元件和环之间直接的金属-金属接触,并进而导致粘着磨损,例如擦伤及过早失效等问题的发生。
而且,当处于静态负载下,轴承不发生旋转运动,从而暴露于振动或振荡运动阶段中时,滚动元件轴承通常表现出一种被称作“假摩擦侵蚀”的现象,这一点也限制了轴承的寿命。
这些现象的结果是,处于不良润滑条件下的轴承寿命被大大影响。已经通过在轴承元件上施加硬的涂层的方法做了一些尝试,以减轻这些问题,例如,这些涂层包括有碳化物和氮化物涂层(如TiN,TiC,CrN),以及固体润滑剂如硫化钼。
然而,迄今为止,这些尝试中没有一个可以产生显著的改进效果。尽管碳化物和氮化物涂层具有高的硬度等级,并确实能够提供良好的耐磨性和高的硬度,但它们的摩擦系数很高。这些高的摩擦系数与高的硬度结合在一起,导致了环或滚动元件的配合表面的磨损。
此外,TiN,TiC及CrN涂层的高附着力仅仅在大约400℃量级的相对较高的涂敷温度下才可以得到。这种涂层被广泛用于切割工具中。在这些切割工具中,基底材料由高合金高速钢制成,由于二次硬化现象,其在500-540℃时仍保持一定的硬度。对于通常用于滚动元件轴承的低合金钢来说,这样的涂敷温度将导致过度的软化和尺寸变化。
根据US-A-5108813,通常的类-金刚石碳涂层可以用于滑动轴承中。类-金刚石碳涂层是指一层无定形的氢化的碳,其由sp3和sp2杂化碳键共同组成。在滑动轴承中,类-金刚石碳涂层附着在基底上的附着力是足够的,但是,在滚动元件轴承中,由于滚动元件轴承中很高的接触应力,这样的涂层将会剥落。
发明内容
因此,本发明的目的是提供一种滚动元件轴承,其在润滑条件不良或缺乏的情况下仍具有提高的寿命。该目的是通过在滚动元件和/或至少一个环的滚道上涂敷一个混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层的方式实现的。
更具体地说,根据本发明的一种实施方案,所提供的滚动元件轴承包括一个内环,一个外环,以及与内环和外环的滚道滚动接触的滚动元件,其中,滚动元件和/或至少一个环的滚道涂敷有混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层,该涂层包括交替的主要为类-金刚石碳、但包含一些金属碳化物的层,和主要为金属碳化物、但包含一些类-金刚石碳的层。
或者,作为一种替换实施方案,本发明所提供的滚动元件轴承包括一个内环,一个外环,以及与内环和外环的滚道滚动接触的滚动元件,其中,滚动元件和/或至少一个环的滚道涂敷有混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层,该金属是以簇的方式散布在整个类-金刚石碳基体中。
根据本发明的混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层同时提供了低的摩擦(系数)和高的抗磨损性能,即使是在滚动元件轴承中遇到的高接触应力(其应力可以达到3或4GPa)的情况下也是如此。当涂层结构被优化,从而提供出高的附着性能时,根据本发明的混合有碳化物形成金属原子的类-金刚石碳涂层能够承受这些高的接触应力,并不会在其自身内或从基底上剥落下来。
因此,所述的涂层适用于在干燥条件或者润滑不良或甚至缺乏的状况下运行的滚动元件轴承中。
根据本发明的优选实施例,该混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层形成于一由Cr,W,Mo,或Al组成的金属夹层上,该金属夹层预沉积在基底表面上。应该有一个由金属夹层向混合有金属的涂层的逐渐过渡。施加到金属夹层上的类-金刚石碳涂层还包括一种或更多的金属碳化物形成元素,例如W,Mo或Ti。
涂层中的混合有金属的类-金刚石碳部分可以由主要为类-金刚石碳、但包含一些金属碳化物的层和主要为金属碳化物、但包含一些类-金刚石碳的层的交替平行层组成,每一层的厚度可以为1-50nm。
或者,金属碳化物可以以散布在一层类-金刚石碳中的方式出现。这样的层由主要为类-金刚石碳的基体组成,并在其中散布有金属碳化物颗粒。所述颗粒可以具有偏聚形态,从而提供出尺寸可达100nm的金属碳化物聚集区域(簇)。该簇可以由一种或多种金属的碳化物组成。
混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层的厚度可以达到10μm。与具有或不具有一个金属夹层的传统单层类-金刚石碳涂层相比,涂层的多层结构降低了涂层中的残余应力,并因此增强了附着力。
该涂层的另一个重要特征是在涂敷工艺中,可以向着(涂层)表面降低金属碳化物形成元素的含量,从而可以提高涂层外层的类-金刚石特性。由于涂层的外层接近于纯的类-金刚石碳,从而使得表面硬度显著提高,与此同时,这还导致了与基底之间的高的附着性能。在这种情况下,低的摩擦(系数)和提高的硬度导致了增长的抗磨损性能,同时保持了滚动轴承应用中所必需的高的附着性能。
而且,也可以向着涂层表面逐渐增加石墨的含量,这有利于进一步降低摩擦系数。当然,也可以向着涂层表面同时降低金属碳化物形成元素的含量和增加石墨的含量。
该混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层还可以包括Ni或Fe,以作为降低碳化物形成元素源材料成本的一种手段。
此外,该混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层可以在一<240℃的涂敷温度下施加,同时保证了滚动元件轴承所必需的高的附着水平。在这方面,处于淬火和调质状态下的、对温度敏感的低合金轴承钢可以以这样的方式被涂敷,以使得不会发生基底材料的微结构或相的改变,从而使带有涂层的轴承部件不发生永久性的不可逆尺寸变化。这使得允许用标准部件来安装环和/或环元件,并避免了为得到渴望的轴承精度和内部间隙而对匹配条件的需要。
另外,低的涂敷温度确保了对温度敏感的低合金轴承钢的基底硬度和疲劳性能不受影响,以及轴承的标准静态和动态容量范围仍可适用。而且,该涂层也可以被应用于高合金钢,例如马氏体不锈钢和高速钢中。

具体实施方式
图1示出了一个滚动元件轴承的滚动元件或一环的滚道的外层的横截面图。该整个外部整体上以参考标号1表示,并被施加到一基底2,例如轴承钢上。
所述的整个外部1包括一个中间金属夹层3,其被直接施加到基底2上,一个过渡区4,其紧随着中间金属夹层3,以及一个混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层8。过渡区4包括一个通过交替的金属碳化物层5和金属层6得到一个多层过渡区域。随后,向着多层结构8,得到一个平缓的过渡区域7。过渡区域7提供出一个从金属碳化物到金属碳化物和类-金刚石碳的混合物的平缓过渡。所述多层结构8包括交替的金属碳化物层9和类-金刚石碳层10。
图2示出了一个滚动元件轴承的滚动元件或环的滚道的外层的替换实施例的横截面。
整个涂层11包括一个主要由类-金刚石碳组成的基体12,其中弥散着金属碳化物颗粒13。这样的颗粒或簇13的尺寸最大可以达到100nm。
基底2,夹层3和过渡区4与图1中的对应部分类似。

Claims (12)

1.滚动元件轴承,包括一个内环,一个外环,以及与内环和外环的滚道滚动接触的滚动元件,其特征在于,滚动元件和/或至少一个环的滚道涂敷有混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层(8-10,11-13),该涂层包括交替的主要为类-金刚石碳、但包含一些金属碳化物的层(10),和主要为金属碳化物、但包含一些类-金刚石碳的层(9)。
2.根据权利要求1的滚动元件轴承,其特征在于,混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层(8-10,11-13)的厚度可达到10μm。
3.根据权利要求1或2的滚动元件轴承,其特征在于,混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层(8-10,11-13)被涂敷在一金属中间夹层(3)上。
4.根据权利要求3的滚动元件轴承,其特征在于,混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层(8-10,11-13)被涂敷在一个由Cr,W,Mo或Al组成的金属中间夹层(3)上。
5.根据权利要求4的滚动元件轴承,其特征在于,在混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层(8-10,11-13)和中间金属层(3)之间,有一个过渡区(4)。
6.根据权利要求1或2的滚动元件轴承,其特征在于,混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层(8-10,11-13)在一个<240℃的温度下被涂敷。
7.根据权利要求1的滚动元件轴承,其特征在于,向着涂层表面,金属碳化物形成元素的含量逐渐降低,以使得涂层的外部区域更加趋近于类-金刚石碳。
8.根据权利要求7的滚动元件轴承,其特征在于,所述金属碳化物形成元素为W,Mo或Ti。
9.根据权利要求1的滚动元件轴承,其特征在于,向着涂层表面,石墨的含量逐渐增加。
10.根据权利要求1或2的滚动元件轴承,其特征在于,混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层(8-10,11-13)中含有Ni。
11.滚动元件轴承,包括一个内环,一个外环,以及与内环和外环的滚道滚动接触的滚动元件,其特征在于,滚动元件和/或至少一个环的滚道涂敷有混合有金属的类-金刚石碳涂层(8-10,11-13),其中金属是以簇(13)的方式散布在整个类-金刚石碳基体(12)中。
12.根据权利要求11的滚动元件轴承,其特征在于,所述簇的最大尺寸为100nm。
