Disclosure of Invention
Problems to be solved by the invention
However, the banknote handling unit may be provided with a plurality of storage spaces in which the banknote storage cassettes are detachably formed. That is, a banknote storage cassette that can be attached to and detached from a plurality of storage spaces is used in the banknote handling unit. The plurality of banknote storage cassettes store banknotes of different denominations, for example. Since each of the banknote storage cassettes can be loaded in each of the plurality of storage spaces, there is a case where a user (e.g., an administrator) misplaces the banknote storage cassette when loading the banknote storage cassette in the storage space. Thus, the banknote handling unit may operate without detecting a loading error of the banknote storage cassette.
The invention aims to provide a technology for detecting the misplacement of a paper money storage box.
Means for solving the problems
In order to achieve the above object, the banknote handling unit according to the present invention is configured as follows.
The paper money processing unit is provided with a plurality of storage spaces which are detachably formed with paper money storage boxes, and the paper money processing unit is provided with: a storage unit that stores cassette-related information associated with each of the plurality of storage spaces; a detection unit that detects whether the banknote storage cassette is attached to or detached from each of the storage spaces; an acquisition unit that acquires, from the banknote storage cassette, cassette information that the banknote storage cassette loaded into the storage space has when the detection unit detects that the banknote storage cassette is loaded into the storage space; a determination unit that determines whether or not the cassette information of the banknote storage cassette loaded in the storage space is appropriate by comparing the cassette information with cassette related information related to the storage space; and a notification unit configured to notify, when the determination unit determines that the cassette information of the banknote storage cassette loaded in the storage space and the cassette related information related to the storage space are not appropriate.
In this configuration, the cassette information is acquired for each banknote storage cassette, and the cassette related information associated with each storage space is compared with the acquired cassette information to determine whether the banknote storage cassette is proper or not. In this configuration, when it is determined that the cassette related information related to each of the storage spaces and the acquired cassette information are not appropriate, it is possible to notify a higher-level device such as an automatic ticket vending machine and detect the misplacement of the banknote storage cassette.
The banknote handling unit may further include a recording and storing unit that stores the cassette information of the attached and detached banknote storage cassette and the date and time when the banknote storage cassette is attached and detached, each time the detection unit detects attachment and detachment of the banknote storage cassette.
With this configuration, the user can know the date and time of attachment/detachment of the banknote storage cassette, and thus the banknote storage cassette can contribute to crime prevention and the like.
In the banknote handling unit, it is preferable that the judging unit, when judging that the cassette information of the banknote storage cassette loaded in one of the plurality of storage spaces and the cassette related information related to the one storage space are not appropriate, compares the cassette related information related to the other storage space different from the one storage space with the cassette information of the banknote storage cassette loaded in the one storage space, and judges whether or not the information is appropriate. Preferably, the notification unit notifies that the cassette information of the banknote storage cassette loaded in the one storage space and the cassette-related information related to the other storage space are appropriate, and that the cassette information of the banknote storage cassette loaded in the other storage space and the cassette-related information related to the one storage space are appropriate.
With such a configuration, the banknote handling unit can detect that the banknote storage cassette loaded in one storage space and the banknote storage cassette loaded in the other storage space are placed in a staggered manner.
In the banknote processing unit, it is preferable that one of the plurality of storage spaces is a 1 st storage space, a storage space different from the 1 st storage space among the plurality of storage spaces is a 2 nd storage space, and when 1 st cassette related information related to the 1 st storage space and 2 nd cassette related information related to the 2 nd storage space are stored in the storage unit, the determination unit determines that the cassette information of the banknote storage cassette loaded in the 1 st storage space and the 1 st cassette related information are appropriate by comparing the cassette information of the banknote storage cassette loaded in the 1 st storage space and the 2 nd cassette related information. Preferably, the notification unit notifies that the cassette information of the banknote storage cassette loaded in the 1 st storage space and the 2 nd cassette related information are appropriate and that the cassette information of the banknote storage cassette loaded in the 2 nd storage space and the 1 st cassette related information are appropriate, when the determination unit determines that the cassette information of the banknote storage cassette loaded in the 1 st storage space and the 2 nd cassette related information are appropriate.
With this configuration, the banknote handling unit can detect that the banknote storage cassette loaded in the 1 st storage space and the banknote storage cassette loaded in the 2 nd storage space are erroneously loaded.
In addition, it is preferable that the banknote handling unit further includes a banknote transport unit configured to switch a transport source to which the banknote is transported, when the determination unit determines that the cassette information of the banknote storage cassette loaded in the 1 st storage space and the 2 nd cassette related information are appropriate.
With this configuration, even when the banknote storage cassette is erroneously loaded, the conveyance source can be switched to convey banknotes of the appropriate denomination.
Effects of the invention
According to the present invention, the misplacement of the banknote storage cassette can be detected.

Detailed Description
Hereinafter, an example of a banknote processing unit 1, a banknote processing method, and a banknote processing program, which are one embodiment of the present invention, will be described with reference to the drawings.
<1. application example >
Fig. 1 is a block configuration diagram showing a configuration of a main part of the banknote handling unit 1. Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram showing an internal structure of the banknote handling unit 1. The banknote processing unit 1 includes a control unit 2, a banknote recognition unit 3, a plurality of (two in fig. 1) output cassettes 41 and 42, a deposit cassette 5, and an upper input/output interface 6. The dispensing cassettes 41 and 42 and the deposit cassette 5 represent a banknote storage cassette according to the present invention. In the following description, the dispensing cassettes 4 will be described without specifying the dispensing cassettes 41 and 42.
The banknote processing unit 1 according to this example is used in an automatic ticket vending machine installed at a station or the like. As shown in fig. 2, the housing of the bill handling unit 1 is provided with a bill input port 101 and a bill return port 102. In the banknote processing unit 1, banknotes inserted by a user are transported along the banknote transport paths 221, 222, 223, and 224, and are stored in the deposit cassette 5 after passing through the banknote recognition 3.
The banknote handling unit 1 according to this example does not use banknotes inserted by the user as change banknotes. In the case of dispensing change banknotes to the user, the banknote processing unit 1 uses banknotes stored in the dispensing cassettes 41, 42.
The dispensing cassettes 41 and 42 store banknotes of a predetermined denomination. For example, banknotes of denomination X1 are stored in the dispensing cassette 41. Note that the banknote of denomination Y1 is stored in the dispensing cassette 42. In the following, the denomination X1 will be described as a denomination different from the denomination Y1.
A plurality of (two in fig. 2) storage spaces 111 and 112 in which the dispensing cassette 4 is detachably formed are provided in the casing of the banknote handling unit 1. For example, the dispensing box 41 is formed to be detachable from the storage space 111 and the storage space 112. The dispensing box 42 is formed to be detachable from the storage space 111 and the storage space 112, for example. For example, the dispensing cassettes 41 and 42 are formed in the same or substantially the same shape. In this way, the output cassettes 41 and 42 are formed in the same or substantially the same manner, so that the productivity of the output cassettes 41 and 42 is improved. The storage space 111 represents a 1 st storage space according to the present invention, and the storage space 112 represents a 2 nd storage space according to the present invention.
Further, a housing space 113 in which the deposit cassette 5 is detachably formed is provided in the casing of the banknote processing unit 1. The banknote inserted from the banknote insertion port 101 is stored in the deposit cassette 5 regardless of the denomination. Further, the deposit cassettes 5 may store banknotes fed out from the output cassettes 41 and 42.
The banknote processing unit 1 stores therein cassette related information associated with each of the storage spaces 111, 112. The cartridge-related information is, for example, 32 bytes of data, and is an inherent ID number that identifies the withdrawal cartridge 4. Fig. 3 is a diagram showing a correspondence table 70 of the cartridge related information associated with each of the plurality of housing spaces 111, 112. In the banknote processing unit 1, as shown in fig. 3, the storage space 111 is associated with an ID0001 (1 st cassette associated information). In the banknote processing unit 1, the storage space 112 is associated with an ID0002 (2 nd cassette association information).
Each of the dispensing cassettes 41 and 42 has cassette information indicating unique ID information that can be identified. The cartridge information is stored in a storage medium provided in each of the dispensing cartridges 41 and 42. The cartridge information of the dispensing cartridge 41 according to this example is ID 0001. Note that the cartridge information of the dispensing cartridge 42 according to this example is ID 0002.
Since each of the dispensing cassettes 4 has cassette information, the banknote processing unit 1 compares the cassette-related information associated with the storage spaces 111 and 112 in the correspondence table 70 with the cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4 loaded in each of the storage spaces 111 and 112, and determines whether or not the information is appropriate. In other words, the banknote processing unit 1 determines whether or not the dispensing cassette 4 having the cassette related information associated with the storage spaces 111 and 112 and the cassette information matching the cassette related information is properly loaded in the storage spaces 111 and 112.
For example, the banknote processing unit 1 determines whether or not the dispensing cassette 41 having cassette information indicating ID0001 is loaded in the storage space 111. The banknote processing unit 1 determines whether or not the dispensing cassette 42 having the cassette information indicating ID0002 is loaded in the storage space 112, for example.
Further, in the banknote processing unit 1 according to this example, banknotes of denomination X1 are stored in the dispensing cassette 41 having cassette information indicating ID 0001. In the banknote processing unit 1 according to this example, the banknote of denomination Y1 is stored in the dispensing cassette 42 having cassette information indicating ID 0002. That is, the administrator can know the banknote of the denomination stored in the dispensing cassette 4 by knowing the cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4.
However, in the banknote processing unit 1, when replenishing the output cassettes 41 and 42 with banknotes, the administrator turns off the power supply of the banknote processing unit 1, for example, and temporarily removes the output cassettes 41 and 42 from the storage spaces 111 and 112. After replenishing the removed cassettes 41 and 42 with banknotes, the administrator loads the cassettes 41 and 42 into the storage spaces 111 and 112 again. At this time, the dispensing cassettes 41 and 42 may be misplaced by the administrator.
The administrator loads the withdrawal cassettes 41, 42 and turns on the power supply of the banknote processing unit 1. For example, when the power is turned on, the banknote processing unit 1 determines whether or not the associated cassette related information matches the cassette information of the loaded dispensing cassette 4 for each of the storage spaces 111 and 112. Then, if the associated cassette related information does not match the cassette information of the loaded dispensing cassette 4 for each of the storage spaces 111 and 112, the banknote processing unit 1 notifies the control unit of the host device (e.g., a ticket vending machine).
For example, the administrator removes the withdrawal box 41 from the storage space 111, and further removes the withdrawal box 42 from the storage space 112. The administrator supplements banknotes of denomination X1 to the dispensing cassette 41 and supplements banknotes of denomination Y1 to the dispensing cassette 42. Then, the administrator loads the dispensing cassette 42 in the storage space 111 and loads the dispensing cassette 41 in the storage space 112. In this case, since the ID0001 associated with the storage space 111 does not match the cassette information (ID0002) of the dispensing cassette 42 loaded in the storage space 111 in the correspondence table 70, the banknote processing unit 1 notifies the upward-facing device. In addition, since the ID0002 associated with the storage space 112 does not match the cassette information (ID0001) of the dispensing cassette 41 loaded in the storage space 112 in the correspondence table 70, the banknote processing unit 1 notifies the upward position device.
If the bill handling unit 1 operates without detecting the erroneous placement in a state where the dispensing cassettes 41 and 42 are misplaced by the administrator, the banknotes of the inappropriate denomination are dispensed as change. Therefore, in the banknote processing unit 1 according to this example, it is possible to detect that the cassette related information associated with the correspondence table 70 and the dispensing cassette 4 having the cassette information that does not match the cassette related information are loaded for each of the storage spaces 111 and 112. Then, the banknote processing unit 1 notifies the higher-level device, and the higher-level device stops the operation of the banknote processing unit 1 and restricts the operation of the banknote processing unit 1. Thus, the banknote processing unit 1 can prevent banknotes of an inappropriate denomination from being discharged as change.
The cartridge-related information and the cartridge information are not limited to the ID number unique to the withdrawal cartridge 4, and may be information indicating the denomination, for example.
<2. structural example >
Each of the dispensing cassettes 41 and 42 has a storage medium (e.g., EEPROM). Cartridge information (e.g., ID0001, ID0002) indicating an inherent ID number is stored in each storage medium. The banknote of denomination X1 is stored in the dispensing cassette 41. Note that, for example, banknotes of denomination Y1 are stored in the dispensing cassette 42. In other words, the dispensing cassette 41 whose cassette information is ID0001 stores banknotes of currency X1. The dispensing cassette 42 whose cassette information is ID0002 stores banknotes of denomination Y1.
Each of the dispensing boxes 41 and 42 has a wired or wireless interface. When the respective dispensing cassettes 41 and 42 are loaded in the storage spaces 111 and 112, the interface is mechanically or electrically connected to the interface or the like provided in the storage spaces 111 and 112. The acquiring unit 24 of the control unit 2 described later acquires the cartridge information via each interface.
The deposit box 5 according to this example is formed to be able to be loaded in the storage space 113. The deposit box 5 includes, for example, a storage medium to which box information indicating the deposit box is given. The cartridge information of the deposit cartridge 5 is, for example, 32 bytes of data, and is an ID number unique to the deposit cartridge 5. The deposit box 5 has a wired or wireless interface. When the deposit cassette 5 is loaded into the housing space 113, the interface is mechanically or electrically connected to an interface or the like provided in the housing space 113. The acquisition unit 24 of the control unit 2 acquires the cartridge information of the deposit cartridge 5 via the interface. In addition, the cartridge information of the deposit cartridge 5 is not limited to the unique ID number.
The bill discriminating portion 3 discriminates the denomination and authenticity of the bill conveyed along the bill conveying path 221. The bill discriminating section 3 reads an optical pattern, a magnetic pattern, and the like of a bill, and discriminates the denomination and authenticity. Since the bill discriminating portion 3 is well known, a detailed description thereof will be omitted here.
The upper input/output interface 6 inputs and outputs data to and from an upper device (in this example, a ticket vending machine) using the banknote processing unit 1. For example, the notification unit 26 of the control unit 2 described later notifies the host device via the host input/output interface 6. The host input/output interface 6 inputs data indicating the total amount of inserted banknotes to the host device, for example. Note that a notification of the completion of ticket drawing and the like are input from the upper-level input/output device to the upper-level input/output interface 6.
As shown in fig. 1, the control unit 2 includes a storage unit 21, a banknote transport unit 22, a cassette detection unit 23, an acquisition unit 24, a determination unit 25, a notification unit 26, and a recording storage unit 27.
The control unit 2 controls each of the banknote transport unit 22, the cassette detection unit 23, the acquisition unit 24, the determination unit 25, the notification unit 26, and the recording storage unit 27. As shown in fig. 2, the banknote transport section 22 transports banknotes along the banknote transport paths 221, 222, 223, 224, 225, 226, 227.
The bill transfer path 221 connects the bill input port 101 and the bill return port 102. The banknote conveyance path 221 is a U-turn conveyance path in the main body 10 of the banknote processing unit 1. Further, the bill conveying path 221 is formed so that the bill passes through the bill recognizing section 3.
The bill conveying path 222 is a conveying path branched from the bill conveying path 221 at the branch 22 a. The bill transport path 222 is a transport path connecting the bill transport path 221 and the bill transport path 223. The bill conveying path 223 is used as a holding portion for temporarily holding the bills inserted into the bill insertion port 101. The number of banknotes held in the banknote transport path 223 is not limited to one. The bill transport path 223 may be held in a state where a plurality of bills are stacked.
The bill conveying path 224 is a conveying path branched from the bill conveying path 222 at the branch 22 b. One end of the bill conveying path 224 is connected to the deposit cassette 5. That is, the banknote conveyance path 224 is a conveyance path for conveying banknotes to be stored in the deposit cassette 5.
Note that the bill transport path 225 is a transport path branched from the bill transport path 221 at the branch 22 c. The bill conveying path 226 is a conveying path branched from the bill conveying path 225 at the branch 22 d. One end of the bill conveying path 226 is connected to the dispensing cassette 41. That is, the banknote conveyance path 226 is a conveyance path for conveying banknotes stored in the dispensing cassette 41.
Note that the bill conveying path 227 is a conveying path branched from the bill conveying path 225 at the branch 22 d. One end of the bill conveying path 227 is connected to the dispensing cassette 42. That is, the banknote conveyance path 227 is a conveyance path for conveying banknotes stored in the dispensing cassette 42.
A shutter (flap) for switching the conveyance destination or conveyance source of the banknotes is provided in the branch path 22a, the branch path 22b, the branch path 22c, and the branch path 22 d. The bill conveyance unit 22 switches the conveyance destination or conveyance source of the bill by controlling the flapper. The banknote transport unit 22 switches between the dispensing cassettes 41 and 42 as the transport sources of the change banknotes by controlling, for example, the shutters of the branch paths 22 d.
Note that the conveyance direction of the banknotes in the banknote conveyance paths 222 and 223 is bidirectional. In other words, the banknote transport unit 22 transports the banknote transported on the banknote transport path 222 in either a direction from the banknote transport path 221 toward the branch path 22b or a direction from the branch path 22b toward the banknote transport path 221. The banknote transport unit 22 transports the banknotes transported on the banknote transport path 223 in either a direction toward the branch path 22b or a direction from the branch path 22 b.
The banknote transport unit 22 individually switches the transport direction of banknotes transported along the banknote transport paths 222 and 223. Specifically, the banknote transport unit 22 switches the transport direction of the banknotes on the banknote transport paths 222 and 223 by controlling the rotation direction of a motor, not shown. The bill conveying paths 222 and 223 drive the conveying rollers by drive control of a motor, not shown, for example.
The banknote transport unit 22 is provided with sensors at a plurality of positions in the banknote transport paths 221, 222, 223, 224, 225, 226, and 227, and detects the presence or absence of a banknote at the detection position of each sensor.
The cassette detection unit 23 detects that the dispensing cassettes 41 and 42 are loaded in the storage spaces 111 and 112, respectively. The cartridge detection unit 23 detects that the deposit cartridge 5 is loaded in the storage space 113.
For example, switches not shown are provided in the storage spaces 111 and 112. Each switch is opened or closed in response to attachment and detachment of the dispensing cassette 4. Thereby, the cartridge detection unit 23 detects attachment and detachment of the dispensing cartridge 4. In addition, for example, a switch is provided in the housing space 113. The switch is opened or closed in response to attachment and detachment of the deposit box 5. Thereby, the cartridge detection unit 23 detects attachment and detachment of the deposit cartridge 5.
When the cassette detection unit 23 detects that the dispensing cassette 4 is loaded in each of the storage spaces 111 and 112, the acquisition unit 24 acquires cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4 for each of the storage spaces 111 and 112. For example, when the dispensing cartridge 4 is loaded in the storage space 111, the acquisition unit 24 acquires cartridge information of the dispensing cartridge 4 from a storage medium of the dispensing cartridge 4 via an interface provided in the storage space 111. For example, when the dispensing cartridge 4 is loaded in the storage space 112, the acquiring unit 24 acquires cartridge information of the dispensing cartridge 4 from a storage medium of the dispensing cartridge 4 via an interface provided in the storage space 112. Further, the acquisition unit 24 acquires the cartridge information of the deposit cartridge 5 from the storage medium of the deposit cartridge 5 via an interface provided in the storage space 113.
The cartridge related information associated with each of the housing spaces 111, 112 is stored in the storage section 21. In the correspondence table 70 shown in fig. 3, the storage space 111 and the ID0001, and the storage space 112 and the ID0002 are associated with each other.
The determination unit 25 determines whether or not the cassette information of the loaded dispensing cassette 4 matches the IDs 0001 and 0002 of the cassette related information associated with the correspondence table 70 for each of the storage spaces 111 and 112.
For example, when the dispensing cassette 4 is loaded in the storage space 111, the determination unit 25 determines whether or not the ID0001 of the cassette related information associated with the storage space 111 matches the cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4. For example, when the dispensing cartridge 4 is loaded in the storage space 112, the determination unit 25 determines whether or not the ID0002 of the cartridge related information related to the storage space 112 matches the cartridge information of the dispensing cartridge 4.
The determination unit 25 determines that the cassette related information (ID0001) related to the storage space 111 matches the cassette information (ID0001) of the dispensing cassette 4 loaded in the storage space 111, and the banknote processing unit 1 determines that the dispensing cassette 4 is loaded in the storage space 111. Further, the determination unit 25 determines that the cassette related information (ID0002) related to the storage space 112 and the cassette information (ID0002) of the dispensing cassette 4 loaded in the storage space 112 match, and the banknote processing unit 1 determines that the dispensing cassette 42 is loaded in the storage space 112. Thus, the banknote processing unit 1 can detect the following: in each of the storage spaces 111 and 112, a dispensing cassette 4 having cassette information matching the cassette related information associated in the correspondence table 70 is loaded. As a result, the banknote processing unit 1 can appropriately discharge banknotes of an appropriate denomination as change banknotes.
For example, when the determination unit 25 determines that the cassette related information (ID0001) related to the storage space 111 does not match the cassette information of the dispensing cassettes 4 loaded in the storage space 111, the banknote processing unit 1 detects that the dispensing cassettes 4 other than the dispensing cassette 41 are loaded in the storage space 111. Further, when the determination unit 25 determines that the cassette related information (ID0002) related to the storage space 112 does not match the cassette information of the dispensing cassettes 4 loaded in the storage space 112, the banknote processing unit 1 detects that the dispensing cassettes 4 other than the cassettes 42 are loaded in the storage space 112.
When the determination unit 25 determines that the associated cartridge related information does not match the cartridge information of the loaded dispensing cartridge 4 for each of the storage spaces 111 and 112, the notification unit 26 notifies the upper apparatus via the upper input/output interface 6.
When the cartridge detection unit 23 detects the attachment and detachment of the dispensing cartridge 41, 42 or the deposit cartridge 5, the recording storage unit 27 records the cartridge information of the detected dispensing cartridge 41, 42 or deposit cartridge 5 and the date and time of the attachment and detachment. Thereby, the administrator may be able to know the date and time of attachment and detachment of the dispensing cartridge 4.
The banknote processing unit 1 according to this example can detect the misplacement of the dispensing cassette 4 for each of the storage spaces 111 and 112. Note that the banknote handling unit 1 according to this example can prevent banknotes of an inappropriate denomination from being discharged as change by notifying the host device of the misplacement of the dispensing cassette 4 and restricting the operation thereof by the host device.
The control unit 2 of the banknote processing unit 1 is configured by a hardware CPU, a memory (storage unit) 21, and other electronic circuits. When the hardware CPU executes the banknote processing program according to the present embodiment, it functions as a cassette detection unit 23, an acquisition unit 24, a determination unit 25, and a notification unit 26. The memory (storage unit) 21 has a region in which the banknote processing program according to the present embodiment is developed, or a region in which data and the like generated when the banknote processing program is executed are temporarily stored. The control unit 2 may be an LSI in which a hardware CPU, a memory, and the like are integrated. The hardware CPU is a computer that executes the banknote processing method according to the present embodiment.
<3. working example >
The operation of the banknote handling unit 1 according to this example will be described with reference to fig. 4. Fig. 4 is a flowchart showing an example of the operation of the banknote processing unit 1 according to this example.
The cassette detection portion 23 of the banknote processing unit 1 detects whether or not the withdrawal cassette 4 is loaded in the storage space 111 (S11). When the cassette detection unit 23 detects that the dispensing cassette 4 is loaded in the storage space 111 (yes in S11), the acquisition unit 24 of the banknote processing unit 1 acquires the cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4 (S12). In the banknote processing unit 1, since the denomination of the banknotes stored in the dispensing cassette 4 is determined based on the cassette information, the banknote processing unit 1 can know the denomination of the banknotes stored in the loaded dispensing cassette 4.
The determination unit 25 of the banknote processing unit 1 determines whether or not the cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4 loaded in the storage space 111 matches the cassette related information (ID0001) related to the storage space 111 (S13). When the determination unit 25 determines that the cassette information matches the cassette related information (ID0001) related to the storage space 111 (yes in S13), the cassette detection unit 23 detects whether or not the withdrawal cassette 4 is loaded in the storage space 112 (S15). When the cassette detection unit 23 detects that the dispensing cassette 4 is loaded in the storage space 112 (yes in S15), the acquisition unit 24 of the banknote processing unit 1 acquires the cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4 (S16). The determination unit 25 of the banknote processing unit 1 determines whether or not the cassette information matches the cassette related information (ID0002) related to the storage space 112 (S17). When the determination unit 25 determines that the cartridge information matches the cartridge related information (ID0002) (yes in S17), the process is terminated.
Thereby, the banknote processing unit 1 detects that the dispensing cassette 41 having the cassette information of ID0001 is loaded into the storage space 111. That is, the dispensing cassette 41 that has detected the storage denomination X1 is loaded into the storage space 111. Further, the banknote processing unit 1 detects that the dispensing cassette 42 having the cassette information of ID0002 is loaded into the storage space 112. That is, the dispensing cassette 42 that has detected the storage denomination Y1 is loaded into the storage space 112.
On the other hand, when the determination unit 25 determines that the cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4 loaded in the storage space 111 does not match the cassette related information (ID0001) related to the storage space 111 (no in S13), the notification unit 26 of the banknote processing unit 1 notifies the upward-facing device (S14).
When the determination unit 25 determines that the cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4 loaded in the storage space 112 does not match the cassette related information (ID0002) (S17: no), the notification unit 26 of the banknote processing unit 1 notifies the upward-facing device (S14).
That is, the banknote processing unit 1 detects that the dispensing cassette 41 having the cassette information that matches the cassette related information (ID0001) correlated in the correspondence table 70 is not loaded in the housing space 111. That is, it is detected that the dispensing cassette 41 storing the coin type X1 is not loaded in the storage space 111. Further, the banknote processing unit 1 detects that the dispensing cassette 42 having the cassette information that matches the cassette related information (ID0002) correlated in the correspondence table 70 is not loaded in the storage space 112. That is, it is detected that the dispensing cassette 42 storing the coin type Y1 is not loaded in the storage space 112.
In the case where the withdrawal cassette 41 is not loaded in the storage space 111 or the withdrawal cassette 42 is not loaded in the storage space 112, the banknote processing unit 1 notifies the upward facing device. The banknote handling unit 1 is restricted in operation by the host device and prevents banknotes from being discharged as change banknotes from the dispensing cassette 4 loaded in the storage space 111 or the storage space 112.
Next, an example of the operation when the power supply of the banknote processing unit 1 is switched from the off state to the on state will be described with reference to fig. 5. Fig. 5 is a flowchart showing an example of the operation when the power supply of the banknote processing unit 1 is switched from the off state to the on state. Here, the case where the power supply is switched from the off state to the on state refers to a case where the power supply of the banknote processing unit 1 is switched for maintenance or the like. For example, the administrator turns off the power of the banknote processing unit 1, removes the dispensing cassettes 41 and 42, and replenishes banknotes into the dispensing cassettes 41 and 42. Further, it is assumed that the administrator loads the dispensing cassettes 41 and 42 into the storage spaces 111 and 112 again and turns on the power supply of the banknote processing unit 1.
The cassette detection unit 23 of the banknote processing unit 1 detects that the dispensing cassette 4 is loaded in each of the storage spaces 111 and 112 (S21). The acquiring unit 24 of the banknote processing unit 1 acquires the cassette information of the loaded dispensing cassette 4 for each of the storage spaces 111 and 112 (S22).
The determination unit 25 of the banknote processing device 1 determines whether or not the acquired cassette information matches the cassette-related information associated with each of the storage spaces 111 and 112 in the correspondence table 70 for each of the storage spaces 111 and 112 (S23). More specifically, the determination unit 25 determines whether or not the cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4 loaded in the storage space 111 matches the cassette-related information (ID 0001). Further, the determination unit 25 determines whether or not the cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4 loaded in the storage space 112 matches the cassette related information (ID 0002). When the determination unit 25 determines that the cartridge information of the dispensing cartridge 4 loaded in the storage space 111 matches the cartridge-related information (ID0001) and that the cartridge information of the dispensing cartridge 4 loaded in the storage space 112 matches the cartridge-related information (ID0002) (yes in S23), the recording storage unit 27 of the banknote processing unit 1 stores the cartridge information together with the date and time (S24). By recording the cartridge information and the date and time in the recording storage portion 27, the administrator can know when the dispensing cartridges 41 and 42 have been attached and detached.
When the determination unit 25 determines that the cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4 does not match the cassette related information associated with the correspondence table 70 in at least one of the storage spaces 111 and 112 (no in S23), the notification unit 26 of the banknote processing unit 1 notifies the upward-facing device (S25). Thereby, the administrator can recognize the misplacement of the dispensing cassette 4.
The banknote processing unit 1 according to this example determines that the associated cassette related information matches the cassette information of the loaded dispensing cassette 4 for each of the storage spaces 111 and 112. Thus, the banknote processing unit 1 according to this example can detect that the cassette related information related to each other and the dispensing cassette 4 having the cassette information matching the cassette related information are not loaded in each of the storage spaces 111 and 112. That is, the banknote handling unit 1 according to this example can detect that the dispensing cassette 4 storing banknotes of the appropriate denomination is not loaded in each of the storage spaces 111 and 112. Thus, the banknote handling unit 1 according to this example is restricted in operation by the host device, and can prevent banknotes of an inappropriate denomination from being discharged as change.
<4. modified example >
In the banknote processing unit 1 according to the modification, a case is assumed in which the dispensing cassette 42 having the cassette information of ID0002 is loaded in the storage space 111 and the dispensing cassette 41 having the cassette information of ID0001 is loaded in the storage space 112. In the banknote processing unit 1 according to the modification, even when the dispensing cassette 42 is loaded in the storage space 111 and the dispensing cassette 41 is loaded in the storage space 112, banknotes of an appropriate denomination can be discharged as change banknotes by switching the delivery source (the dispensing cassette 4) of the change banknotes.
The operation of the banknote processing unit 1 according to the modification will be described with reference to fig. 6. Fig. 6 is a flowchart illustrating an operation of the banknote processing unit 1 in an example in which the appropriate dispensing cassettes 4 other than the dispensing cassette 4 are loaded in each of the storage spaces 111 and 112.
In addition, since the processes S31 to S33 are the same as those of the above-described processes S11 to S13, the description is omitted. In the following description, the cartridge information of the dispensing cartridge 4 loaded in the storage space 111 is described as the 1 st cartridge information, and the cartridge information of the dispensing cartridge 4 loaded in the storage space 112 is described as the 2 nd cartridge information.
When the determination unit 25 determines that the 1 st cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4 loaded in the storage space 111 does not match the cassette related information (ID0001) (no in S33), the cassette detection unit 23 detects whether or not the dispensing cassette 4 is loaded in the storage space 112 (S34). When the cartridge detector 23 detects that the dispensing cartridge 4 is loaded in the storage space 112 (yes in S34), the acquiring unit 24 acquires the 2 nd cartridge information of the dispensing cartridge 4 (S35). The determination unit 25 determines whether or not the 2 nd cartridge information matches the cartridge related information (ID0002) related to the storage space 112 (S36).
When the determination unit 25 determines that the 2 nd cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4 loaded in the storage space 112 does not match the cassette related information (ID0002) related to the storage space 112 (no in S36), it is determined whether or not the 2 nd cassette information of the dispensing cassette 4 loaded in the storage space 112 matches the cassette related information (ID0001) related to the storage space 111 in the correspondence table 70 (S37). When the determination unit 25 determines that the 2 nd cartridge information matches the cartridge related information (ID0001) associated with the storage space 111 (yes in S37), it is determined whether or not the 1 st cartridge information matches the cartridge related information (ID0002) associated with the storage space 112 in the correspondence table 70 (S38). When the judging unit 25 judges that the 1 st cassette information matches the cassette related information (ID0002) related to the storage space 112 (yes in S38), the banknote transport unit 22 switches the transport source (S39).
The banknote processing unit 1 according to the modification can detect that the dispensing cassette 4(42) having the 2 nd cassette information of ID0002 is loaded in the storage space 111 and the dispensing cassette 4(41) having the 1 st cassette information of ID0001 is loaded in the storage space 112. That is, in the banknote processing unit 1 according to the modification, it is possible to detect that two of the dispensing cassettes 4 are erroneously loaded. Thus, the banknote processing unit 1 does not need to be restricted by, for example, stopping operation by switching the output cassettes 4 as the transport sources by the banknote transport unit 22.
On the other hand, when the determination unit 25 determines that the 2 nd cartridge information does not match the cartridge related information (ID0001) related to the storage space 111 (S37: no), the notification unit 26 notifies the higher-order apparatus (S40). In this case, the banknote processing unit 1 detects that the dispensing cassette 4 having cassette information that does not match any of the IDs 0001 and 0002 is loaded in the storage space 112.
When the determination unit 25 determines that the 1 st cartridge information does not match the cartridge related information (ID0002) related to the storage space 112 (no in S38), the notification unit 26 notifies the higher-level apparatus (S40) (S40). In this case, the banknote processing unit 1 detects that the dispensing cassette 4 having cassette information that does not match any of the IDs 0001 and 0002 is loaded in the storage space 111.
By knowing the detection result, the administrator can prevent the banknote handling unit 1 according to the modified example from being discharged as change of banknotes of the improper denomination.
Note that the banknote handling unit 1 according to another modification is applicable not only to a ticket vending machine but also to a currency exchange machine, an ATM, or the like.
Note that the banknote handling unit 1 according to another modification may include a plurality of storage spaces in which 3 or more output cassettes 4 are detachably formed.
The banknote handling unit 1 according to another modification may include a plurality of storage spaces in which two or more deposit cassettes 5 are detachably formed.
Although the above-described example has been described with respect to the misplacement of the dispensing cassettes 41 and 42, the above-described example can also be applied to the misplacement of a plurality of depositing cassettes 5.
In the banknote processing unit 1 according to another modification, the dispensing cassette information may be information indicating the denomination of money stored in the dispensing cassette 4. For example, the cassette information of the dispensing cassette 41 indicates the currency X1. Note that, for example, the cassette information of the dispensing cassette 42 indicates the currency Y1. In this case, data indicating the denomination (for example, denomination X1 and denomination Y1) is stored in the storage unit 21 in association with each of the storage spaces 111 and 112.
The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and can be embodied by modifying the components in the implementation stage within the scope not departing from the gist thereof. Various inventions can be formed by appropriate combinations of the plurality of components disclosed in the above embodiments. For example, some of the structural elements may be deleted from all the structural elements shown in the embodiments. Further, the components according to the different embodiments may be appropriately combined.
Further, the correspondence relationship between the configuration according to the present invention and the configuration according to the above-described embodiment can be described as follows.
