背景技术
作为汽车的车轮支撑用的轴承装置等所使用的旋转用密封,存在一种旋转用密封,具有:抛油环,包括圆筒状的套筒、以及从上述套筒的轴向的一端向径向外侧延伸的凸缘;金属芯,包括圆筒状的金属芯圆筒、以及从上述金属芯圆筒的轴向的一端向径向内侧延伸的金属芯凸缘;以及密封部件,包括与上述金属芯接合的基部、以及从上述基部延伸的密封唇部(例如,参照专利文献1以及2)。
这样的旋转用密封为,在将上述套筒安装于径向内侧部件、并且将上述金属芯圆筒安装于径向外侧部件的状态下使用,上述密封唇部与上述抛油环的滑动接触面滑动接触。
从降低能量成本以及降低温室效应气体的观点出发,对汽车等的燃料消耗率进行改善的社会性要求变得非常高。

此外,在专利文献2中,通过切削加工、凹凸转印加工处理或者喷丸强化处理等对上述滑动接触面进行加工,使其成为粗糙度的间距变细而无边缘的凹凸面。

在专利文献1以及2那样的旋转用密封中,从使转矩降低这样的观点出发,对抛油环的滑动接触面实施表面加工而形成凹凸面。
然而,在这样的抛油环的滑动接触面上形成凹凸面的构成中,并没有考虑到由于密封部件的密封唇部与上述凹凸面滑动接触而导致的密封唇部的磨耗,由此密封唇部有可能磨耗而使可靠性降低。而且,由于长期使用而导致的油脂枯竭,由此密封唇部的摩耗有可能发展而使可靠性降低。
发明内容
鉴于上述背景,本发明要解决的课题在于,在密封部件的密封唇部进行滑动接触的抛油环的滑动接触面上形成凹凸面的旋转用密封中,降低密封唇部的磨耗而提高可靠性。
为了解决上述课题,本发明的旋转用密封包括:金属芯;密封部件,基部与上述金属芯接合,并且具有密封唇部;以及抛油环,具有供上述密封唇都滑动接触的滑动接触面,该旋转用密封的特征在于,

而且,即使在由于长期使用而油脂枯竭的情况下,也能够抑制密封唇部的摩耗,能够提供可靠性更高的旋转用密封。
在此,优选的实施方式为:

此外,更优选的实施方式为,通过对钢板的消光加工材进行冲压成型来制造上述抛油环。
发明效果
根据这样的构成,仅通过对钢板的消光加工材进行冲压成型来制造抛油环,因此与专利文献1以及2那样的通过喷丸强化处理等实施表面加工而在上述滑动接触面上形成凹凸面的情况相比较,能够降低制造成本。
如以上那样,根据本发明的旋转用密封,能够发挥的显著效果为:在密封部件的密封唇部滑动接触的抛油环的滑动接触面上形成凹凸面的旋转用密封中,能够降低密封唇部的磨耗而提高可靠性。

作为形成密封部件4的合成橡胶材料,作为耐油性良好的橡胶材料,能够从丁腈橡胶(NBR)、氢化丁腈橡胶(HNBR)、丙烯酸橡胶(ACM)、乙烯·丙烯酸橡胶(AEM)、氟橡胶(FKM,FPM)、以及硅酮橡胶(VQM)等橡胶中,将1种或者2种以上的橡胶适当混合而使用。此外,在考虑到橡胶材料的揉合加工性、加硫成型性、以及与金属芯3的粘合性的情况下,优选的实施方式为,与其他种类的橡胶,例如,液状NBR、三元乙丙橡胶(EPDM)、天然橡胶(NR)、异戊二烯橡胶(IR)、苯乙烯-丁二烯橡胶(SBR)、以及丁二烯橡胶(BR)等混合而使用。
金属芯3包括圆筒状的金属芯圆筒3A、以及从金属芯圆筒3A的轴向的一端向径向内侧延伸的金属芯凸缘3B,通过将金属芯圆筒3A向径向外侧部件即外圈13压入,由此金属芯3以及密封部件4被固定于外圈13。
抛油环2包括圆筒状的套筒2A、以及从套筒2A的轴向的一端向径向外侧延伸的凸缘2B,通过将套筒2A向径向内侧部件即内圈12压入,由此抛油环2被固定于内圈12。
密封部件4的轴向唇即密封唇部4B的前端,与抛油环2的凸缘2B内面的滑动接触面A滑动接触,密封部件4的径向唇即密封唇部4C、4D的前端,与抛油环2的套筒2A外周面的滑动接触面B滑动接触。
对钢板的消光加工材进行冲压成型而制造的抛油环2的滑动接触面A、B的表面状态满足:按照JIS B 0601:2013,算术平均粗糙度Ra为0、3μm≤Ra≤1.0μm,粗糙度曲线的偏斜度Rsk为Rsk≤-1,粗糙度曲线要素的平均长度RSm为100μm≤RSm。
在此,粗糙度曲线的偏斜度Rsk表示粗糙度的山与谷的对称性。在粗糙度的山较尖的情况下示出正值,在粗糙度的谷较尖的情况下示出负值。
此外,粗糙度曲线要素的平均长度RSm表示轮廓曲线要素的长度相对于基准长度的平均。
<密封唇部的磨耗量测定试验>
(实验方法)
对于以下的实施例以及比较例的抛油环,基于JIS B 0633:2001(ISO4288:1996)的“7、基于触针式表面粗糙度测定机的评价的方式以及顺序”,将基准长度设为0.8mm,将评价长度设为4mm,使用触针式表面粗糙度测定机(株式会社东京精密制的表面粗糙度·轮廓形状测定机,型号:SURFCOM1800D),对于密封唇的滑动接触面测定相对于轧制方向垂直方向的周向的粗糙度曲线,并测定算术平均粗糙度Ra、粗糙度曲线的偏斜度Rsk以及粗糙度曲线要素的平均长度RSm。
此外,在组装了实施例以及比较例的抛油环的旋转用密封中,对于将所封入的油脂的量改变为“通常”(0.24g)以及“极少”(0.005g)的情况、以及未封入油脂的情况(“无”),进行了对以1000rpm的旋转速度旋转60小时之后的密封唇的磨耗量进行测定的磨耗量测定试验。
在该磨耗量测定试验中,测定了图2的轴向唇4B的磨耗量以及图2的径向唇4C的磨耗量。
(实施例)
将使用钢板的消光加工材、通过冲压成型而成型了抛油环的3个试验体设为实施例1至3。
(比较例)
将使用钢板的消光加工材、通过冲压成型而成型了抛油环,并且对上述滑动接触面进行了喷砂处理的3个试验体设为比较例1至3。
(实验结果)
在表1、图3以及图4中表示实验结果。
实施例1至3以及比较例1至3的粗糙度参数Ra、Rsk、RSm如表1所示那样。
实施例1至3以及比较例1至3的算术平均粗糙度Ra均为0.4μm~0.5μm程度,处于0.3μm≦Ra≦1.0μm的范围内。
其理由在于,上述滑动接触面的算术平均粗糙度Ra为,为了保持油脂,而需要为0.3μm以上,并且,为了保持密封使用初期的密封性,而需要为1.0μm以下。
粗糙度曲线的偏斜度Rsk的值为,在实施例1至3以及比较例1至3中均为负值,但是实施例1至3的粗糙度曲线的偏斜度Rsk为Rsk<-1.1,与此相对,形成有基于喷砂处理的微小粗糙面的比较例1至3的Rsk为Rsk>-0.8。
在此,在粗糙度曲线的偏斜度Rsk为负值的情况下,抛油环的向外表面突出的山部前端为较钝、平缓的状态。粗糙度曲线的偏斜度Rsk的值以负值变得越小,则抛油环的向外表面突出的山部变得更平缓。
抛油环的向外表面突出的山部前端越尖锐,则橡胶的挖掘摩耗越发展,山部前端越钝、平缓,则挖掘摩耗越难以发展,因此为了进一步降低唇的摩耗量,如实施例1至3那样,粗糙度曲线的偏斜度Rsk更优选为Rsk<-1.1,为Rsk≤-1即可。
实施例1至3的粗糙度曲线要素的平均长度RSm为100μm≤RSm,而比较例1至3的RSm为RSm<100μm。
当实施例的粗糙度曲线要素的平均长度RSm的值为100μm以上时,大于比较例,因此粗糙度曲线上的凹凸的重复间距较大。由此,每旋转一周的振动数(摩耗的机会)就减少,因此能够将唇的摩耗量大幅度降低。

与以上那样的实施例1至3与比较例1至3的粗糙度参数的不同相伴随,如表1以及图3所示那样,轴向唇的磨耗量为,实施例1为比较例1的约55%,实施例2为比较例2的约39%,实施例3为比较例3的约37%。
此外,如表1以及图4所示那样,径向唇的磨耗量为,实施例1为比较例1的约59%,实施例2为比较例2的约30%,实施例3为比较例3的约57%。
因此,可知,在油脂量通常的情况、油脂量极少的情况、以及无油脂的情况的全部情况下,与比较例相比实施例的磨耗量为约1/2~1/3程度,大幅度降低。
根据该效果,即使在由于长期使用而油脂枯竭的情况下,也能够抑制唇的摩耗。
根据本发明的旋转用密封,抛油环2的滑动接触面A、B的表面状态为,按照JIS B0601:2013,满足算术平均粗糙度Ra为0.3μm≤Ra≤1.0μm,粗糙度曲线的偏斜度Rsk为Rsk≤-1,粗糙度曲线要素的平均长度RSm为100μm≤RSm,因此与专利文献1以及2那样通过喷丸强化处理等实施表面加工而对上述滑动接触面形成凹凸面的情况相比较,能够使密封唇部的磨耗量大幅度降低,因此能够提高可靠性。
而且,即使在由于长期使用而油脂枯竭的情况下,能够抑制唇的摩耗,能够提供可靠性更高的旋转用密封。
此外,抛油环2是通过对钢板的消光加工材进行冲压成型而制造的,因此与专利文献1以及2那样通过喷丸强化处理等实施表面加工而对上述滑动接触面形成凹凸面的情况相比较,能够降低制造成本。

Claims (3)

1.一种旋转用密封,包括:金属芯;密封部件,基部与上述金属芯接合,并且具有密封唇部;以及抛油环,具有供上述密封唇都滑动接触的滑动接触面,该旋转用密封的特征在于,
上述滑动接触面的表面状态为,
按照JIS B 0601:2013,满足以下条件:
算术平均粗糙度Ra为0.3μm≤Ra≤1.0μm,
粗糙度曲线的偏斜度Rsk为Rsk≤-1,
粗糙度曲线要素的平均长度RSm为100μm≤RSm。
2.如权利要求1所述的旋转用密封,其中,
上述金属芯包括:圆筒状的金属芯圆筒;以及从上述金属芯圆筒的轴向的一端向径向内侧延伸的金属芯凸缘;
上述抛油环包括:圆筒状的套筒;以及从上述套筒的轴向的一端向径向外侧延伸的凸缘;
上述密封部件的密封唇部包括:轴向唇,与上述抛油环的凸缘内面的滑动接触面滑动接触;以及径向唇,与上述抛油环的套筒外周面的滑动接触面滑动接触。
3.如权利要求1或者2所述的旋转用密封,其中,
上述抛油环是通过对钢板的消光加工材进行冲压成型而制造的。
